Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the back-flow of drain to a turbine, by flowing drain to a condenser all the time and by urgently discharging drain in a bleed pipe when there happen troubles.
CONSTITUTION: Steam extracted from a sublevel of a turbine 1 passes through a check valve 3, is introduced to a feed water heater 4 by a bleed pipe 2, is heat exchanged, passes through a pipe 12 as heater drain and flows to a feed water heater with pressure lower than the pipe 12. Meanwhile, a drain pipe 6 is mounted from a front portion of the check valve 3 in the bleed pipe 2, and connected to a condenser 8 through an orifice 9. When the water-level of the feed water heater 4 rises due to troubles, the check valve 3 is forcedly closed by the signals of a water- level detector 5. Since drain in the drain pipe 6 flows into the condenser 8 all the time even if the water-level suddenly rises and drain reaches up to the upper stream side of the check valve 3 at that time, drain reaching the upper stream side is rapidly discharged to the condenser 8, and does not flow into the turbine 1.
