Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable the automatic adjustment of a water level at an upstream side of a bagform weir, by a method wherein the bagform weir, which is installed at a river bed across a river, is caused to automatically fall down according to the water level.
CONSTITUTION: When a water level at an upstream side exceeds an estimated water level 13, an opening part 23a of a pipe 23 sinks under the water resulting from the rise in the water level in a water adjusting casing 21, and a pipe 11 is isolated from the air. Then, a cyphone action acts on the pipe 11 to increase a drainage amount through the pipe 11, and a water level 1 in a water pressure adjusting chamber 9 falls resulting from the unsufficient supply of water from a water conducting hole 10. When a water level in the chamber 9 is below a water level of a water chamber 1b in a weir 1, water in the chamber 1b is discharged to bring down the weir 1. When a water level 17 at a doenstream side rises due to flood and the like, the pipes 20, 23, and 11 are isolated from the air. Then, a cyphone action acts on the pipe 11, the water level in the chamber 9 begins to fall irrespective of a water level of a river 7 at an upstream side, and when the water chamber 1b, the weir 1 falls down. As a result, water at the upstream side overflows over the weir 1.
