CONSTITUTION: While a casing part 11 located slightly below the lower end of guide vanes 14 is connected to a draft tube 6 through a drain pipe 16, a cooling water pipe 19 is connected to an outside runner chamber 3 from a runner seal part 7. Thus, cooling water supplied from the cooling water pipe 19 to a runner 2 is returned to the draft tube 6 through the drain pipe 16 after supplied to a casing 11 so that a flow path over a wide range can be always cooled by fresh cooling water to restrain properly temperature rise.
