Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve heat conductivity and cooling effect by the action of a flowing fluid by forming flow courses around a part extended from a blade foot a guide a cooling medium at a high speed.
CONSTITUTION: A blade foot extension 11 is formed between a blade 12 and a blade fixing part 13 and a platform 14 is inserted between the blade 12 and the extension 11. A flat flow course is formed between the extension 11 and a side cover 15 spreading over it. The upper end of the side over 15 is secured to the platform 14 and the lower end of it is opened. The flow course formed between the extension 11 and the side cover 15 is communicated with an area on the side of the blade 12 by fine holes 16 opened through the platform 14. A cooling medium runs at a high speed from each radially open inlet formed between the external face of a wheel plate and each side plate 15 into the extension 11 and each side cover 15 at a high speed and is blasted into a main gas flow on the side of the blade 12 from the fine holes 16.
