Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the joint portion provided with the shearing strength equivalent to the shearing strength of the parent metal, by interposing gold of specified thickness between the faying surface of Ni-base super alloy, and by pressure welding within non-oxidizing atmosphere while heating and keeping at a specified temperature.
CONSTITUTION: Gold of under 50μ is interposed between the faying surface for jointing Ni-base super alloys to each other. It is possible to hold the golden foil thinner than 50μ between the faying surface, or it is possible to form the gold plated layer owing to the electric plating, or to form the evaporated gold layer thinner than 50μ owing to the vacuum evaporation. By interposing gold between the faying surface, and by pressing in the non-oxidizing atmosphere while heating and keeping at 1100W1300°C, the gold and Ni-base super alloy form a solid solution and satisfactorily proceed the diffusion welding. Especially, even in the case of Ni- base super alloy of a precipitation hardening type, being rich in Al and Ti, the joint portion with satisfactory shearing strength can be obtained.
