Abstract
PURPOSE: To secure the optimum space between the thyristor and the electrode plate and thus to increase the adhesive strength as well as to minimize the size of the device by forming many thin grooves on the surface of the electrode plate provided between the thyristor and the insulating attachment substrate in order to secure adjustment for the thickness of the solder material to be coated on the electrode surface.
CONSTITUTION: Concavity 10 is provided previously on the upper surface of insulating attachment substrate 7 which is to be adhered to the metal plate via the metal film, and then insulator plate 6 of ceramics or the like with the metalized film formed on the surface is fitted into concavity 10. Anode side electrode plate 2 onto the surface of which many thin grooves 9 are provided is adhered on the surface of plate 6, and anode lead 5 is attached to the end of one side of plate 2. After this, thyristor 1 is adhered on groove 9 of plate 2 via the solder material. In this way, the thickness of the solder material between plate 2 and thyristor 1 can be controlled as desired via groove 9, thus ensuring the optimum adhesive srength to the heat cycle.
