Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.次の: (a)第1受光面を第1拡散光源に近接して有する、該第1拡散光源から出る 光を輸送する光透過装置; (b)各マイクロプリズムが (i)該光透過装置に光学的に連結された光入力面; (ii)向い合って位置する第1側壁対にして、その少くとも一つが該光透 過装置の表面の法線に対して第1傾斜角を形成している該第1側壁対;および (iii)向い合って位置する傾斜した第2側壁対にして、その少くとも一 つが該光透過装置の表面の法線に対して第2傾斜角を形成している該第2側壁対 ; を含んでなるマイクロプリズムのアレイ;および (c)該光透過装置と該光入力面との間に位置する低屈折率の層; を含んでなる、該光透過装置を通って反射する光の第1部分が該光入力面を通っ て該マイクロプリズムのアレイに入り、該側壁で方向が変えられ、そして該マイ クロプリズムから限定空間指向光源として出光し、また該光透過装置を通って反 射する光の第2部分が該低屈折率層によって該光入力面に入るのが抑えられるよ うになっている、限定空間指向光源を提供するための照明用集合組立装置。 2.光透過装置が楔形の導波路であり、そして光の第2部分の少くとも一部が 該導波路内で再循環され、そしてその光入力面を通ってマイクロプリズムのアレ イに入り、側壁で方向が変えられ、そして該マイクロプリズムから限定空間指向 光源として出て来る、請求の範囲第1項に記載の照明用集合組立装置。 3.各マイクロプリズムの出力が少くとも一つの対応するマイクロレンズに向 いており、そして該マイクロレンズを通って透過した光が実質的に平行な光源と して出て来る、マイクロレンズのアレイをさらに含んでいる、請求の範囲第1項 に記載の照明用集合組立装置。 4.第1傾斜角が光透過装置の表面の法線に対して15から50度である、請 求の範囲第1項に記載の照明用集合組立装置。 5.第2傾斜角が光透過装置の表面の法線に対して0から25度である、請求 の範囲第1項に記載の照明用集合組立装置。 6.マイクロプリズム、マイクロレンズおよび光透過装置が約1.45から約 1.65の屈折率を有する、請求の範囲第3項に記載の照明用集合組立装置。 7.低屈折率層が光透過装置の屈折率より小さい屈折率を有する、請求の範囲 第1項に記載の照明用集合組立装置。 8.次の: (a)第1受光面を第1拡散光源に近接して、そして第2受光面を該第1拡散 光源によって発生せしめられる光を反射するための反射装置に近接して有する、 該第1拡散光源から出る光を輸送する光透過装置; (b)各マイクロプリズムが (i)該光透過装置に光学的に連結された光入力面; (ii)該光入力面の表面積より大きい表面積を有する光出力面; (iii)向い合って位置する第1側壁対にして、その各々が該光透過装置 の表面の法線に対して第1傾斜角を形成している該第1側壁対;および (iv)向き合って位置する傾斜した第2側壁対にして、その各々が該光透 過装置の表面の法線に対して第2傾斜角を形成している該第2側壁対; を含んでなるマイクロプリズムのアレイ、および (c)該光透過装置と該光入力面との間に位置する低屈折率の層; を含んでなる、該光透過装置を通って反射する光の第1部分が該光入力面を通っ て該マイクロプリズムのアレイに入り、該側壁で方向が変えられ、そして該マイ クロプリズムから限定空間指向光源として出光し、また該光透過装置を通って反 射する光の第2部分が該低屈折率層によって該光入力面に入るのが抑えられ、そ して該反射装置によって該導波路内で再循環され、そして該光入力面を通って該 マイクロプリズムのアレイに入り、該側壁で方向が変えられ、そして該マイクロ プリズムから限定空間指向光源として出て来るようになっている、限定空間指向 光源を提供するための照明用集合組立装置。 9.各マイクロプリズムの光出力が少くとも一つの対応するマイクロレンズに 向いており、そして該マイクロレンズを通って透過した光が実質的に平行な光源 として出て来る、マイクロレンズのアレイをさらに含んでいる、請求の範囲第8 項に記載の照明用集合組立装置。
