Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 撚り線対通信回線上を周波数の異なる多数のサブキャリアを通じてディジ タルデータを伝送するために好適な離散多重音調送信装置において、前記送信装 置は、 1秒当たり6メガビットを超える速度にてディジタル情報をエンコードするこ とができる、ディジタル情報をエンコードするためのエンコーダと、 多数のサブチャネルの各々における雑音レベルを示す回線品質変数を決定する ために通信回線を監視する監視装置であって、前記各サブチャネルは、周波数に 関して1つの関連するサブキャリアに対応している監視装置と、 前記エンコードされたディジタル情報を離散多重音調信号中の多数のサブキャ リア上に変調するための変調装置であって、各サブキャリアは1つの関連する音 調及び1つの関連するサブチャネルに対応し、前記離散多重音調エンコード済信 号に関して利用可能な前記サブキャリアは1.6MHz以上の結合された帯域幅 を有し、前記変調は、少なくとも前記検出された回線品質変数と許容電力マスク 変数とを考慮して設定され、前記変調は、特定の変数の実時間変化に適応させる ために、使用される前記サブチャネル、及び各サブチャネル上に伝送されるデー タ量の双方について伝送期間中に動的に更新が可能である変調装置と、 前記離散多重音調信号が前記伝送回線に適用される前に前記離散多重音調信号 に循環プレフィクスを加えるための付加装置と、を備える離散多重音調送信装置 。 2. 請求項1に記載の送信装置において、前記変調装置は、前記エンコードさ れたディジタル情報を、各々が約4.3125kHz〜34.5kHz幅の範囲 の帯域幅を有する複数のサブチャネルに対応する複数のサブキャリア上に変調す る、送信装置。 3. 請求項2に記載の送信装置において、前記変調装置は、前記エンコードさ れたディジタル情報を、可変幅を有する複数のサブチャネルに対応する複数のサ ブキャリア上に変調するように構成されている、送信装置。 4. 請求項1に記載の送信装置において、前記変調装置は、情報を512個の 別々のサブチャネル上に伝送することが可能な、送信装置。 5. 請求項4に記載の送信装置において、前記送信装置は、最大で256個の 下位サブチャネルを利用する規格モードにおいても使用可能であり、ATIS北 米非対称ディジタル加入者回線規格と互換性を有する、送信装置。 6. 請求項1に記載の送信装置において、前記監視装置は、大きな回線雑音及 び干渉を検出することが可能であり、前記監視装置によって雑音が検出された場 合、前記変調装置は、一秒当たり6メガビット(6Mbps)以上のデータ速度 でキャリアサービスエリアにわたって前記エンコードされたディジタルデータの 伝送を容易にするため、最も大きな雑音の上下の周波数において前記エンコード されたディジタル情報を伝送するように構成されている、送信装置。 7. 請求項1に記載の送信装置において、前記送信装置は、撚り線対電話回線 の形を採る通信回線を通じて1秒当たり10ミリオンビット(10Mbps)以 上の速度で、前記送信装置から2000メートルまでの遠隔地へ前記エンコード されたディジタル情報を伝送することが可能である、送信装置。 8. 撚り線対通信回線の形を採り得る通信回線を通じて第1組のエンコードさ れた多重音調ディジタル情報を受信するための離散多重音調受信装置において、 前記受信装置は、 前記エンコードされたディジタル情報を離散多重音調信号中の多数のサブキャ リアから1秒当たり6メガビットを超えるデータ速度で復調するための復調装置 であって、各サブキャリアは1つの関連する音調及び1つの関連するサブチャネ ルに対応しており、前記エンコードされた離散多重音調信号に関して利用可能な 前記サブキャリアは1.6MHz以上の結合帯域幅を有し、前記復調は、変調情 報を前記離散多重音調信号の一部として受信するように設定されており、前記復 調装置は、前記変調方式における実時間変化に適応させるために、変更された変 調情報に応じて受信中に動的更新が可能であり、前記復調装置は、前記離散多重 音調信号から前記循環プレフィクスを取り除くように構成されている、復調装置 と、 前記復調されたディジタル情報を実時間でデコードするためのデコーダと、 第2組のディジタル情報をエンコードするためのエンコーダと、 前記第2組のエンコードされたディジタル情報を第2離散多重音調信号中にお ける多数のサブキャリア上に変調するための変調装置であって、前記第2離散多 重音調信号中の各サブキャリアは、1つの関連する音調及び1つの関連するサブ チャネルに対応しており、前記エンコードされた第2離散多重音調信号に関して 利用可能な前記サブキャリアは、前記エンコードされた第1離散多重音調信号に 関して利用可能な前記サブキャリアの帯域幅よりも著しく小さい結合帯域幅を有 する変調装置と、を備える離散多重音調受信装置。 9. 請求項8に記載された受信装置において、前記エンコードされた第2離散 多重音調信号は、64個までの別々のサブキャリアを有し、前記通信回線を通じ てソースヘ伝送される、受信装置。 10.請求項8に記載された受信装置において、前記復調装置は、さらに時間ド メイン等化装置を備える、受信装置。 11.多くの音調を有する離散多重音調伝送方式を使用し、撚り線対通信回線の 形を採り得る潜在的に雑音の多い通信回線を通じてソースからディジタル情報を 伝送する方法であって、前記ディジタル情報は多数のサブキャリア上でエンコー ド及び変調され、各サブキャリアは1つの関連する音調と対応し、前記方法は、 前記関連する音調の1つに対応する多数の各サブチャネルにおける雑音レベル を示す1以上の回線品質変数を決定するために前記通信回線を監視するステップ と、 ディジタルデータストリームをエンコードするステップと、 離散多重音調変調装置を使用して前記エンコードされたディジタルデータスト リームから多重音調エンコード済信号を形成するステップであって、前記離散多 重音調エンコード信号に関して利用可能なサブキャリアは1.6MHz以上の結 合帯域幅を有し、前記エンコード及び変調は、検出された前記回線品質変数及び 許容電力マスク変数を考慮して設定され、前記変調システムは、特定の変数に関 して実時間変化に適応させるために、使用されるサブチャネル及び各サブチャネ ル上で伝送されるデータ量の双方について伝送期間中に動的に更新が可能である ステップと、 前記離散多重音調エンコード済信号に循環プレフィクスを加えるステップと、 前記離散多重音調エンコード済信号、及び前記循環プレフィクスを前記通信回 線を通じて遠隔地へ伝送するステップと、を備える方法。 12.請求項11に記載された方法であって、さらに、遠隔地にて前記信号を受 信するステップと、その遠隔地にて受信されたその信号を復調し、デコードする ステップと、を備える方法。 13.請求項1に記載された方法において、前記音調は、各々約4.3125k Hz以上の帯域幅を有する、方法。 14.請求項13に記載された方法において、約2.208MHz以上の帯域幅 の使用を容易にするために512個までの音調を利用し得る、方法。 15.請求項11または14に記載された方法において、前記多重音調エンコー ドは、実質的にATIS非対称ディジタル加入者回線規格に従って実行され、そ の規格に記載されている周波数よりも高い周波数で発生する前記サブチャネルは 、サブチャネル選定基準に関して、前記規格範囲内にあるサブチャネルと同様に 取り扱われる、方法。 16.請求項11に記載された方法において、前記監視ステップ中に大きな雑音 又は干渉が検出された場合に、前記変調装置は、キャリアサービスエリアにわた って前記エンコードされたディジタルデータの伝送を容易にするために、最も大 きな雑音又は干渉の上下の周波数において前記データを伝送するように構成され ている、方法。 17.請求項16に記載された方法において、撚り線対通信回線を通じた前記デ ータ伝送速度は、T1雑音が存在する場合であっても、2000メールまでの距 離において1秒当たり10ミリオンビット(10Mbps)以上である、方法。 18.請求項11に記載された方法において、前記通信回線は、撚り線対電話回 線であり、前記遠隔地は、前記送信装置から1500メートルまでにあり、前記 ディジタルデータは、1秒当たり25ミリオンビット(25Mbps)以上の速 度で伝送される、方法。 19.請求項13に記載された方法であって、さらに、第2組のデータを前記遠 隔地にてエンコードし変調するステップと、前記第2組のデータを前記通信回線 を通じて64個までの別々の音調を有する第2離散多重音調信号上で前記ソース に伝送するステップと、を備える方法。 20.請求項18に記載された方法において、前記第2組データ中の前記ディジ タルデータは、1秒当たり1.544ミリオンビット以上のデータ伝送速度で伝 送される、方法。
