Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.セルロース誘導体によって処理した無機物質を含む製紙充填材として用 いるための組成物。 2.前記誘導体が少なくとも1個のイオン置換基によって修飾された又は少 なくとも1個のイオン置換基を含むセルロースである請求項1記載の組成物。 3.無機物質がアルカリ土類金属炭酸塩である請求項1記載の組成物。 4.アルカリ土類金属炭酸塩が炭酸カルシウムである請求項3記載の組成物 。 5.セルロース誘導体がセルロースの塩である請求項1記載の組成物。 6.塩がナトリウムカルボキシメチルセルロースである請求項5記載の組成 物。 7.セルロースが約0.70の置換度を有するナトリウムカルボキシメチル セルロースである請求項6記載の組成物。 8.ナトリウムカルボキシメチルセルロースが約25〜約50cpsの粘度 を有する請求項7記載の組成物。 9.セルロース物質をアルカリスラリーに形成し、脱水し、紙に成形する紙 製造方法であって、 微粉状無機物質を用意する工程と; この無機物質を少なくとも1個のイオン置換基によって修飾された又は少なく とも1個のイオン置換基を含むセルロースから形成されるセルロース誘導体によ って処理して、処理済み無機物質を得る工程と; 処理済み無機物質をセルロース繊維及び水と混合して、紙に成形するために適 したスラリーを得る工程と を含む改良方法。 10.無機物質がアルカリ土類金属炭酸塩である請求項9記載の方法。 11.無機物質が炭酸カルシウムである請求項9記載の方法。 12.セルロース誘導体がセルロースの塩である請求項10記載の方法。 13.セルロース誘導体がナトリウムカルボキシメチルセルロースである請 求項12記載の組成物。 14.前記処理が無機物質の水性スラリーにナトリウムカルボキシメチルセ ルロースを加えることを含む請求項11記載の方法。 15.前記処理が無機物質の水性スラリーに乾燥ナトリウムカルボキシメチ ルセルロースを加えることを含む請求項14記載の方法。 16.ナトリウムカルボキシメチルセルロースが水性スラリーの形状である 請求項13〜14のいずれかに記載の方法。 17.前記処理が無機物質とナトリウムカルボキシメチルセルロースとの乾 燥粉末を水に加えることを含む請求項11記載の方法。 18.前記処理が無機物質とナトリウムカルボキシメチルセルロースとを約 1分間から約6時間まで混合することを含む請求項12記載の方法。 19.混合が約15分間から約3時間までである請求項18記載の方法。 20.セルロース誘導体による無機物質の前記処理が約5℃〜約95℃の温 度においてである請求項12記載の方法。 21.前記温度が約20℃〜約60℃である請求項20記載の方法。 22.セルロース繊維と、請求項1記載の充填材組成物とを含むアルカリ紙 。 23.無機物質がアルカリ土類金属炭酸塩である請求項22記載のアルカリ 紙。 24.アルカリ土類金属炭酸塩がPCCである請求項23記載の方法。 25.セルロース誘導体がナトリウムカルボキシメチルセルロースである請 求項22記載のアルカリ紙。 26.充填材組成物がセルロース繊維の約5〜45重量%の量で存在する請 求項22記載のアルカリ紙。
