【発明の属する技術分野】コンピュータにポインティン
グ情報を入力する装置に関する。

【従来の技術】従来、この種のポインティング装置とし
てはマウスに代表されるような手で操作するポインティ
ング装置がある。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】従来方法では、ポイン
ティング情報を入力しながらキーボードでデータを入力
するという操作を行う場合、まず手によりポインティン
グ情報を入力し、そのあとでキーボードからデータを入
力する必要がある。ポインティング情報の入力とキーボ
ードの入力が同時にできないため、データの入力に煩わ
しさがある。

【課題を解決するための手段】本発明は、ポインティン
グ情報の入力を手ではなく足で行うことにより、ポイン
ティング情報の入力とキーボードの入力を同時にできる
ようにする。

【発明の実施の形態】図１はこの発明の実施例を示す構
成図である。コンピュータ本体１にキーボード２とモニ
タ３と足操作ポインティング装置４が接続されている。
足操作ポインティング装置４には４方向のポインティン
グ移動用のスイッチが付いている。ｘ＋を踏むことによ
りモニタ３上のポインティングはｘ軸のプラス方向に移
動する。ｘ−を踏むことによりモニタ３上のポインティ
ングはｘ軸のマイナス方向に移動する。ｙ＋、ｙ−につ
いてもモニタ３上のポインティングは同様にｙ軸の方向
に移動する。
【０００６】本発明では、キーボードからデータを入力
する際に、ポインティングを移動するのは足操作ポイン
ティング装置４により行う。したがってポインティング
の移動中でもキーボードの操作に両手が使えるので、キ
ーボードからのデータの入力がスムーズに行えることに
なる。

【発明の効果】本発明により、ポインティング情報を入
力しながらキーボードからデータを入力する作業を従来
より高速で行うことが可能になる。
