Abstract

(57)【要約】 【課題】2枚の熱可塑性シート材の接合に使用する熱可
塑性溶接棒を提供することである。 【解決手段】その溶接棒は、印刷層が第1の熱可塑性層
と第2の透明熱可塑性層間に配置される積層構造であ
る。溶接棒は半円形の横断面形状をもった網長要素の形
態が望ましい。溶接棒は2枚の熱可塑性シート材、特に
床仕上材を一緒に接合するために使用される。溶接棒が
シート材の印刷模様に類似の模様を有すると、得られる
表面カバーはシームレスに見える。

Description

【発明の詳細な説明】
【0001】
【発明の属する技術分野】本発明は、2枚の熱可塑性シ
ート材料、特に床材を一緒に接合するために使用する熱
可塑性溶接棒に関する。さらに詳しくは、2枚の同様に
化粧されたポリ塩化ビニル(PVC)弾性シート床仕上
材が溶接されたときに、溶接部分を隠して水密シールド
・アセンブリを形成する化粧溶接棒が製造される。その
模様は、木目、大理石又は奇抜なものを含む多色模様に
することができる。溶接棒は、かなりの厚さの透明摩耗
層を有する弾性床カバーシート、特に積層床カバーシー
トと併用することが望ましい。
【0002】
【従来の技術】床カバー製品には新規でユニークな視覚
のものを得ることが極めて望ましかった、そして多くの
最終使用者はほこりや細菌が継目(シーム)に入るのを
防ぐために床材の継目を熱溶接することが望ましいこと
がわかっていた。かかる方法の1つは一様に着色された
溶接棒で継目を熱溶接することであった。これは、衛生
設備要件が極めて望ましいヘルスケア産業において一般
に行われる方法になってきた。
【0003】床材製造業者はシーム溶接用溶接棒を提供
するのみならず、多くの壁材もシーム溶接又はシームシ
ール材料と共に市販している。最終使用者らも特定の製
品の特定の様式の装飾要素を与える選択としてシーム溶
接棒をしばしば使用する。彼等は化粧床の色を補足する
一様な着色溶接棒を加えたり、又は床と対照的に引き立
つアクセントの色を使って大胆なニュールックをつくる
ことができる。
【0004】しかしながら、最近製造業者が一様でない
着色熱溶接棒を提案した。その溶接棒は床カバーの模様
の色およびデザインと合う通し着色の化粧溶接棒であ
る。この熱溶接棒は組成物の表面から深さ全体に及ぶ通
しカラー視覚をつくる方法を用いている。そのパターン
は多色、チップ又は粒状模様に限定される。本発明の前
までは、明確な反復可能パターンを有する溶接棒は製造
されなかった。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】本発明の溶接棒は、
0.15cmのプリント・カレンダードフイルムを0.
15cmのカレンダードフイルムのオーバ−レイ数層に
積層することによって製造される。床カバーの模様にマ
ッチするプリント模様は従来の手段によって印刷されて
現実的な模様を作る方法で作られる。平版印刷法および
グラビア印刷法が満足なものであることがわかった。実
際に、販売業者からある印刷フイルムを床材用に購入し
て、同じフイルムを使用してその床材にマッチする溶接
棒を作った。 その溶接棒の厚さは2.0〜2.3cm
が望ましい。最終構造はサンドイッチ型構造であった。
底部層は0.15cmの印刷フィルムであった。このプ
リント模様層に0.51cmの透明カレンダードPVC
フイルムの4逐次層を積層した。積層は熱間/冷間プレ
ス式の操作で行なうことができる、又は他の方法を採用
できる。多重フイルム層はオーマ(Auma)機械で同
時に製造された。2フイルムはロールプレス圧縮ライン
にレギュラーカレンダー/ラミネ−タ−を使用して積層
された。いずれの場合も、フイルムが積層されたら、そ
れらは熱間/冷間プレスに配置して最終製品の溶接棒の
半円形の成形できる片/シートに打抜かれる。 後続の
試験はその製品が適当な結合強さをもつことを示した。
その製品/プロセス構造物に異なる化学組成物を使用す
ることを選択する場合には、当然条件および試験結果も
変わる。
【0006】
【課題を解決するための手段】本発明は、第1の熱可塑
性層、第2の透明熱可塑性層および該第1および第2の
熱可塑性層間に配置されたプリント層から成ることを特
徴とする熱可塑性溶接棒を提供する。
【0007】また、本発明は、第1の熱可塑性層と第2
の透明熱可塑性層間に配置されたプリント層から成り、
該第1および第2の熱可塑性層が既に積層されて半円形
横断面形状を有する細長要素に成形されている構成の熱
可塑性溶接棒で一緒に溶接された2枚の熱可塑性シート
から成ることを特徴とする表面カバーを提供する。
【0008】本発明は、フイルムの一層に必要な模様を
印刷し、透明フイルムの逐次層を積層して表面カバーと
同一の独特な視覚を造り出すことによって作られる。ゲ
ージの変動はカレンダードフイルムを使用することによ
って最小にすることができる。 望ましい実施例におい
て、印刷模様は少なくとも0.76cmの透明フイル
ム、すなわち、PVCなどによって保護される。したが
って、製品表面が摩耗した際に、下層のプリントは変ら
ない。
【0009】
【発明の実施の形態】積層プロセスを通して新規の床材
を作製しようとして、床仕上シートに類似の熱溶接棒を
製造した。印刷および透明PVCフイルムを使用して種
々のサンドイッチ型構造物を積層した。かかる溶接棒
は、そのプロセスが表カバーの模様を写真にとって溶接
棒用の視覚を再生するだけであるから、コスト的に有利
であって表面カバー模様の導入をスピードアップする。
【0010】新規の積層床仕上材を作るために使用する
印刷フイルムを使用して別のプロセスで化粧溶接棒を製
造した。積層物の組成は技術的に周知である。この新規
の方法は全てのパターンおよび/または模様に容易に合
わせれる視覚を与える。その模様を写真にとって印刷す
るだけで、印刷フイルムを積層して化粧溶接棒を作製で
きる。図1に示すように、望ましい方法は、数層の透明
フイルム1を0.15cmの印刷フイルム2の上に積層
し、次にそれらを成形1/2半円形溶接棒形状にプレス
する。
【0011】それとは別に、平台印刷機で積層した。フ
イルムは全て穴あけして捕そくされた空気を放出させ
た。0.15cmの印刷PVCベースフイルムを底部定
盤上に配置し、その印刷表面を上にし、コルクパッドと
3片のダクトクロスを定盤とベースフイルムの間に配置
した。印刷ベースフイルムの上に4枚の0.51cm透
明フイルム続いて最上部の剥離紙又はフエルトを配置し
た。それらの層は0.56kg/cm2 の圧力で1/2
分間プレスし、次に5.6kg/cm2 の圧力で1/2
分間プレスした。上下の定盤の温度は148.9℃であ
った。その積層品は次に5.6kg/cm2 の圧力下で
3分間冷やした。
【0012】積層したシートは、底部定盤の上に半円形
エンボス用型を配置し、積層品から剥離紙/フエルトを
除去して、それをその半円形エンボス用型の上に配置す
ることによって溶接棒にプレスした。次にその底部定盤
を162.8℃に2分間予熱した。次に最上部の定盤を
その定盤と積層品の間に配置した上部剥離紙、剥離フエ
ルト又はフエロクロム板6と共に積層品の上に下げた。
その積層品を0.28kg/cm2 の圧力で1.5分間
プレスして、0.28kg/cm2 の圧力下で3分間冷
却した。
【0013】その積層品は、印刷フイルムの背面を型の
切刃へ向けて型の上に配置した。したがって、プレス
後、印刷模様は図2に示したように上向きであった。印
刷層10は、印刷層が接着されているフイルム11とカ
レンダード透明フイルム12間に配置される。次に個々
の溶接棒13を分離する。溶接棒13の構造は従来の均
一に丸い溶接棒又は均一に分布されたチップ半丸溶接棒
とは異なる。
【0014】その製品は、種々の層を積層する連続法に
よって多重フイルム積層によっても作ることができた。
このように、フイルムは予熱および積層して加熱/ウオ
ーム基材にしたり、基材を予熱しフイルムを冷間ラミネ
ータロールに巻いて2層を団結することができる。その
方法は使用するフイルムの厚さ並びに化学組成に左右さ
れる。
【0015】可塑剤の移行を最少にするために、溶接棒
の配合、特に可塑剤系は表面カバーの配合とバランスさ
せなければならない。可塑剤の含量および種類は溶接棒
と表面カバー間で類似する必要がある。
【0016】床材は典型的に12.8℃〜29.4℃の
範囲の温度で設置されるので、柔軟性および切断の容易
性をその範囲の下限近くに維持しなればならない。これ
は、アジピン酸ジオクチルのような低温可塑剤の添加に
よって行なう。その可塑剤チップのガラス転移温度Tg
は−1.1℃、望ましくは−3.9℃、最適には−5.
6℃以下である必要がある。
【0017】熱可塑性溶接棒の製造に使用できる熱可塑
性材料はポリ塩化ビニル、アクリロニトリル/ブタジエ
ン/スチレン、ポリプロピレン、ポリエチレン、および
熱可塑性ポリウレタンを含む。可塑化して使用できる他
の熱可塑性樹脂はポリ酢酸ビニル、酢酸セルロース、ポ
リスチレン、エチルセルロース、ポリ塩化ビニリデン、
ポリウレタン、ナイロン、アクリル樹脂およびポリフエ
ニレンオキシドを含む。次の熱可塑性樹脂は本発明の溶
接棒の作製に使用された:ポリ塩化ビニルホモポリマー
およびアセテート官能価をもつた共重合体およびそれら
の混合体、そしてポリ塩化ビニルホモポリマーが望まし
い。
【0018】使用できる可塑剤はブチルシクロヘキシル
フタレート、トリ(ブトキシエチル)ホスフエート、ト
リ(ブトキシエチル)ホスフエート、トリオクチルホス
フエート、2−エチルヘキシルジフエニルホスフエー
ト、ジブチルフタレート、ジイソブチルアジペート、エ
ポキシ化ジ(2−エチルヘキシル)テトラヒドロフタレ
ート、ジ(2−エチルヘキシル)フタレート、ジイソオ
クチルフタレート、ジオクチルアジペート、ジイソノニ
ルフタレート、ジ(2−エチルヘキシル)ヘキサヒドロ
フタレート、n−オクチル、n−デシルフタレート、ト
リクレシルフタレート、ブチルベンジルフタレート、ジ
カプリルフタレート、ジ(3,5,5−トリメチルヘキ
シル)フタレート、ジイソデシルフタレート、ジ(2−
エチルヘキシル)アジペート、ブチルエポキシステアレ
ート、エポキシ化大豆油、エポキシ化オクチルタレー
ト、ジメチルフタレート、ヘキシルエポキシステアレー
ト、クレシルジフエニルホスフエート、ジ(2−エチル
ヘキシル)アゼレート、エポキシ化オクチルオレエイ
ト、ジ(2−エチルヘキシル)セバケート、テトラエチ
レングリコール/ジ(2−エチルヘキソエイト)、ジイ
ソデシルアジペート、およびトリエチレングリコール/
ジ(2−エチルヘキソエイト)を含む。全可塑剤濃度は
樹脂100部当り(phr)35〜60部、望ましくは
40〜55phr、最適には45〜50phrにすべき
である、そして可塑剤の混合物が望ましい。

    リント層から成ることを特徴とする熱可塑性溶接棒。
  2. 【請求項2】第1の熱可塑性層と第2の透明熱可塑性層
    間に配置されたプリント層から成り、該第1および第2
    の熱可塑性層が既に積層されて半円形横断面形状を有す
    る細長要素に成形されている構成の熱可塑性溶接棒で一
    緒に溶接された2枚の熱可塑性シートから成ることを特
    徴とする表面カバー。
