Abstract
Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.アテローム性動脈硬化症又は再狭窄に罹りやすいヒト宿主の血管系におけ るアテローム性動脈硬化症又は再狭窄の発症を阻止する方法であって、予定レジ メンに従って上記宿主に予防的又は治療的用量の自然食物源以外の薬剤を投与し て血管系の内因性NOのレベルを増強する方法。 2.上記薬剤がNOの前駆体である請求項1記載の方法。 3.上記薬剤がL−アルギニン又は生理学的に許容可能なその塩である請求項 2記載の方法。 4.上記L−アルギニン又は生理学的に許容可能なその塩が約2−25gでヘル スバー中に存在する請求項2記載の方法。 5.上記薬剤がNOの生成のための生合成経路中の酵素である請求項1記載の 方法。 6.上記酵素が上記酵素をコードする遺伝子を包含する細胞中に導入される遺 伝子構築物を含有する細胞の存在の結果として発現される請求項3記載の方法。 7.ヒト宿主の心臓血管系におけるプラーク形成を阻止する方法であって、生 理学的に許容可能なアミノ化合物及びin vivoで反応し得る生理学的に許容可能 な酸化剤を包含する化学物質を上記宿主に投与して心臓血管系中の内皮由来弛緩 因子のレベルを増強する方法。 8.上記アミノ化合物がグアニジノ化合物であり、上記酸化剤がペルオキシ化 合物である請求項7記載の方法。 9.ヒトの心臓血管系におけるプラーク形成を阻止する方法であって、以下の : NOに対する生合成経路中の酵素をコードする遺伝子を包含する 遺伝子構築物で細胞をトランスフェクトして上記細胞中で発現させ、分泌させ; 上記細胞が上記宿主に内因性であるか又は上記宿主中に導入され; それにより上記酵素が分泌されて心臓血管系中のNOのレベルを増強する ことを包含する方法。 10.上記細胞が血管注入により上記宿主中に導入される請求項9記載の方法 。 11.上記細胞が上記細胞を接種された血管移植片として上記宿主中に導入さ れる請求項9記載の方法。 12.上記遺伝子がNOシンターゼをコードする請求項9記載の方法。 13.上記方法がさらに予定レジメンに従って上記宿主に生理学的に許容可能 なNOの化学前駆体を投与することを包含する請求項12記載の方法。 14.上記薬剤がL−アルギニン又は生理学的に許容可能なその塩である請求 項13記載の方法。
