Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.ひとつまたはそれ以上の再充電可能な作動セルを有し、前記再充電可能な 作動セルを充電する間に、前記シールしたバッテリー内のガス空間にガスを発生 することができるシールした再充電可能な貯蔵バッテリーにおいて、 前記バッテリー内に、前記ガス空間と気体的に連通した少なくともひとつの調 整セルが設けられ、前記調整セルが、前記ガスの量を調整するための制御回路に よって充電及び放電されることを特徴とするバッテリー。 2.前記調整セルが、前記ガス空間内の水素ガスを消費または生成することの できる金属水素セルであり、それによってガス空間内のガス量を調整することを 特徴とする請求項1記載のバッテリー。 3.前記ガス空間が、前記再充電可能な作動セルのすべて及び前記調整セルに 共通であり、前記ガス空間が水素で充填されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の バッテリー。 4.バッテリーを電気回路に接続するための少なくとも3つの電気的端子を有 し、それらの端子の少なくとも1つが、前記金属水素セルの水素電極に接続され 、それを介して、前記調整セルが、前記再充電可能な作動セルの充電及び放電と は無関係に充電及び放電可能であることを特徴とする請求項2記載のバッテリー 。 5.前記ガス空間内のガス圧を検出する手段を有し、その検出されたガス圧が 、前記調整セルの充電及び放電を制御するために用いられることを特徴とする請 求項1記載のバッテリー。 6.前記バッテリーの温度を検出する手段を有し、その検出された温度が、前 記調整セルの充電及び放電を制御するために用いられることを特徴とする請求項 1記載のバッテリー。 7.シールしたハウジング; シールしたハウジング内の、複数の再充電可能な作動セル; 前記作動セルを、互いに電気的に連続した関係に接続する手段; シールしたハウジングの壁面を通して、連続して接続された作動セルの正極末 端及び負極末端に各々接続された正極端子及び負極端子; 前記シールしたハウジング内にあり、前記作動セルと共通のガス空間を有する 少なくともひとつの調整セル; 前記調整セル内の金属電極及び水素電極; シールしたハウジングの壁面を通して、前記調整セル内の水素電極に接続され た水素端子;及び 前記調整セルの前記金属電極を外部接続させる手段からなることを特徴とする シールした再充電可能な貯蔵バッテリー。 8.前記各セルに電解液を有し、前記作動セルと前記調整セルの電解液の混合 を防止する手段を備えることを特徴とする請求項7記載のバッテリー。 9.前記シールしたハウジングの、前記共通のガス空間内の圧力に応答するよ うに接続された圧力検出器を有することを特徴とする請求項7記載のバッテリー 。 10.前記調整セルが、前記共通のガス空間内の水素を生成または消費するこ とができることを特徴とする請求項7記載のバッテリー。 11.調整セルが、バッテリーの作動セルの充電または放電とは無関係に充電 または放電できることを特徴とする請求項7記載のバッテリー。 12.シールしたハウジング; 前記シールしたハウジング内部の少なくともひとつの再充電可能なセル; 前記シールしたハウジング内部の圧力調整セル; 前記シールしたハウジング内部の圧力を検出するために設けられた圧力検出器 ; 前記シールしたハウジング内部の、前記再充電可能なセルの少なくともひとつ と前記調整セルに共通したガス空間;及び シールされた状態でハウジングを通って延設され、前記再充電可能なセルの少 なくともひとつと、前記圧力調整セルとに接続された少なくとも3つの端子の組 み合わせからなることを特徴とするシールした再充電可能な貯蔵バッテリー。 13.前記シールしたハウジングの共通ガス空間が水素を含むことを特徴とす る請求項12記載のバッテリー。 14.前記共通ガス空間内のガス圧が、前記圧力検出器に応じて前記調整セル を充電または放電することによって調整されることを特徴とする請求項12記載 のバッテリー。 15.前記3つの端子のひとつが、前記圧力調整セルにのみ接続されることを 特徴とする請求項12記載のバッテリー。 16.バッテリーの充電が、共通ガス空間の圧力が所定の範囲を上回るか下回 るか、温度が所定の値を越えるか、バッテリーの電圧が所定の値を越えたときに 停止されることを特徴とする請求項14記載のバッテリー。 17.再充電可能なセルが、ニッケル−カドミウム、ニッケル−亜鉛、銀−亜 鉛、ニッケル−水素化金属、ニッケル−鉄、マンガン−亜鉛、及び鉛−酸(Pb −PbO2)のいずれかであることを特徴とする請求項12記載のバッテリー。 18.調整セルが、金属−水素可逆セルからなることを特徴とする請求項12 記載のバッテリー。 19.調整セルが、カドミウム−水素、鉄−水素、亜鉛−水素、水素化金属− 水素、及び鉛−水素セルのいずれかの再充電可能なセルであることを特徴とする 請求項18記載のバッテリー。
