Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.患者の手術部位から収集された再利用血液の回収及び洗浄のための体外シス テムにおいて、 a)収集された血液を蓄積するための貯蔵容器と、 b)貯蔵容器に蓄積された再利用血液の容積を周期的に検出し、容積信号を発 生するセンサと、 c)前記貯蔵容器に対して液体的に結合され、再利用血液を処理するための血 球再利用システムと、及び d)容積信号に応じて、前記再利用血液の処理を開始し又は終了させる制御装 置 からなる改良を備えたシステム。 2.容積センサが超音波変換器である、請求項1のシステム。 3.容積センサが歪みゲージ変換器である、請求項1のシステム。 4.超音波変換器が、 a)貯蔵容器の底部表面に音響的に結合された圧電結晶であって、貯蔵容器内 の液体と気体の境界で反射されて該結晶に戻される音波を発生し、それを電気的 なエコー信号に変換する圧電結晶と、及び b)エコー信号を検出し、そこから貯蔵容器内の液体の容積を判定し、容積信 号を発生する検出装置 からなる、請求項2のシステム。 5.歪みゲージ変換器が、 a)貯蔵容器を支持するための半径方向内側部材と、 b)半径方向外側部材と、及び c)前記内側部材と外側部材の問に結合され、貯蔵容器内に蓄積された血液容 量の重量により印加される垂直方向の歪み力を検出する歪みゲージ からなる、請求項3のシステム。 6.貯蔵容器が該貯蔵容器の長手方向軸と同心に配置された管状のフィルタと、 該フィルタから半径方向外側に配置され、内部に長手方向スロットが形成される と共にフィルタと対向して長手方向に延びる液体検出チャンバを含む、請求項4 のシステム。 7.圧電結晶が液体検出チャンバに対向して配置されている、請求項6のシステ ム。 8.内側部材及び外側部材がスプリットリングの形状で形成されている、請求項 5のシステム。 9.貯蔵容器が直径D2のカバーを備えた最大直径D1を有する管状本体から形 成され、内側部材の直径がD1より大きく且つD2より小さく、貯蔵容器がカバ ーのみによって内側部材に吊り下げられる、請求項8のシステム。 10.外側部材が、貯蔵容器を他の部材に結合する管路が歪みゲージに垂直方向の 歪みを及ぼすことを防止する、請求項8のシステム。 11.患者の手術部位から収集された再利用血液の処理方法であって、 a)貯蔵容器内に処理のために十分な容積が蓄積されるまで、貯蔵容器内に血 液を吸引するステップと、 b)貯蔵容器内の血液の容積を周期的に検出し、それを示す容積 信号を発生するステップと、及び c)前記容積信号に応じて血液の処理を開始又は終了するステップ からなる方法。 12.血液が貯蔵容器内で濾過される、請求項11の方法。 13.処理が、血液中の赤血球を濃縮し、赤血球を洗浄し、患者に戻すために赤血 球を収集する各ステップを含む、請求項11の方法。 14.血液の容積を検出することが、貯蔵容器の底部を介して音響伝送信号を結合 して貯蔵容器内の血液と空気の境界における伝送信号の反射から戻り信号を検出 し、伝送信号と戻り信号の間の時間に基づいて貯蔵容器内の血液の容積の高さを 判定し、該高さと既知の貯蔵容器寸法パラメータ定数とに基づいて血液の容積を 判定する各ステップを含む、請求項11の方法。 15.血液の容積を検出することが、 a)貯蔵容器を歪みゲージにより外側支持部材に結合された内側支持部材から 吊り下げ、前記歪みゲージが貯蔵容器内の血液の重量により歪みゲージに与えら れる垂直方向の歪みに応じて前記容積信号を発生する各ステップを含む、 請求項11の方法。 16.貯蔵容器がカバーによって覆われた長手方向に延びる管状の本体からなり、 貯蔵容器が前記カバーによって内側部材から吊り下げられる、請求項15の方法。 17.処理は貯蔵容器内の容積が所定の下限レベルに達した場合に終 了され、所定の上限レベルに達した場合に開始される、請求項11の方法。 18.レベルがユーザにより変更可能である、請求項14の方法。 19.体液の処理のためのシステムであって、 a)液体を貯蔵容器内に導入するための吸引装置と、 b)貯蔵容器内の液体を処理するための処理装置と、 c)前記貯蔵容器に結合され、貯蔵容器内の液体の容積を検出してそれを示す 容積信号を発生する超音波センサと、及び d)前記容積信号に応答し、前記処理装置の動作を制御する制御手段 からなるシステム。 20.流出血液の処理のためのシステムであって、 a)流出血液を吸引するための吸引ワンドと、 b)流出血液を蓄積し濾過するための貯蔵容器と、 c)蓄積され濾過された流出血液を処理して、流出血液の成分を濃縮し、洗浄 し、収集する装置と、 d)貯蔵容器内の流出血液の容積を検出し、それを示す容積信号を発生する歪 みゲージセンサと、及び e)前記容積信号に応答し、前記装置の動作を制御する制御手段 からなるシステム。 21.液体が流出全血であり、前記装置が遠心分離器であってその中で全血が処理 されて非血液製品が濾別され全血が成分へと分離される、請求項19のシステム。 22.液体が流出全血であり、前記装置が遠心分離器であってその中で全血が処理 されて非血液製晶が濾別され全血が成分へと分離される、請求項20のシステム。
