Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.ホウ素化された油溶性重合体置換窒素−又はエステル含有潤滑油添加剤を 製造するに際して、 (a)反応帯域においてホウ素化反応条件下で溶剤の存在下に、重合体置換窒 素−又はエステル含有添加剤に、約450ミクロン以下のΦ値[該Φ値は、粒子 の全球体体積を粒子の全球体外表面積によって割った比率であり、全球体体積は 複数の分布セグメントの各々の式(4/3)Nπd3の球体体積の全部の合計であり 、球体外表面積は該セグメントの各々の式Nπd2の球体表面積のすべての合計 であり、各セグメントについてNはセグメントの粒子体積%でありそしてdは平 均粒径である]によって特徴づけられる潤滑油中での粒度分布を有する粒状ホウ 酸を接触させ、そして (b)ホウ素化された添加剤を回収する、 ことを包含する改良された低沈殿法。 2.重合体置換添加剤がポリアルケニル置換スクシンイミドである請求項1記 載の方法。 3.ポリアルケニル置換スクシンイミドがポリイソブテニル置換スクシンイミ ドである請求項2記載の方法。 4.Φ値が約200〜450である請求項1記載の方法。 5.Φ値が約300〜400である請求項1記載の方 法。 6.ホウ酸粒子が反応帯域に潤滑油スラリー又は懸濁液として仕込まれる請求 項1記載の方法。 7.接触が約100〜170℃の温度で行われる請求項1記載の方法。 8.接触が約110〜150℃の温度で行われる請求項1記載の方法。 9.未ホウ素処理重合体置換添加剤1重量部当たり約0.35〜5重量部のホ ウ酸が反応帯域に仕込まれる請求項1記載の方法。 10.回収されたホウ素化添加剤が約0.03容量%以下の沈殿を含有する請求 項1記載の方法。
