Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. バインダー内に配合されたイオン交換樹脂からなり、そのバインダーが( a)線状低密度ポリエチレン及び(b)200,000よりも大きな平均分子量 を有する高分子量高密度ポリエチレンよりなる群から選択された材質からなる、 不均質なイオン交換物質。 2. 線状低密度ポリエチレンが約0.940の最大密度を有する請求の範囲1 の不均質なイオン交換物質。 3. 高分子量高密度ポリエチレンが約0.940の中密度を有する請求の範囲 1の不均質なイオン交換物質。 4. イオン交換樹脂が、アニオン交換樹脂、カチオン交換樹脂、両性イオン交 換樹脂及びそれらの混合物からなる群より選択される材料からなる請求の範囲1 の不均質なイオン交換物質。 5. 約25〜65重量%のイオン交換樹脂を含む請求の範囲1の不均質なイオ ン交換物質。 6. 約44〜55重量%のイオン交換樹脂を含む請求の範囲5の不均質なイオ ン交換物質。 7. (a)イオン交換樹脂と、(i)線状低密度ポリエチレン及び(ii)20 0,000よりも大きな平均分子量を有する高分子量高密度ポリエチレンからな る群より選択されるバインダー材料と、の固体粒子の混合物を準備し、 (b)この混合物を溶融加工して、イオン交換樹脂を配合して有するバインダ ーからなる生成物を与え、そして (c)その生成物を水性溶液中に、その生成物を活性化させるのに足りる時間 及び温度で没する、 ことからなる不均質なイオン交換樹脂物質を作る方法。 8. 溶融加工は混合物を押し出すことからなる請求の範囲7の方法。 9. 混合物が約25〜65重量%のイオン交換樹脂を含む請求の範囲7の方法 。 10. 混合物がさらにグリセロールを含む請求の範囲7の方法。 11. グリセロールは混合物の重量に対して約1〜15重量%をなす請求の範 囲10の方法。 12. 混合物を加熱加工するに先立って混合物をバインダー材料及びイオン交 換樹脂のペレットに溶融成形する工程をさらに含む請求の範囲7の方法。 13. 水性活性化媒体が水からなる請求の範囲7の方法。 14. 水を約80〜95℃間の温度に維持する請求の範囲13の方法。 15. 生成物を約1時間水性媒体中に維持する請求の範囲13の方法。 16. 生成物が約0.007〜0.050インチの厚さを有する請求の範囲7 の方法。 17. イオン交換樹脂がアニオン交換樹脂、カチオン交換樹脂、両性イオン交 換樹脂及びそれらの混合物よりなる群から選択される請求の範囲7の方法。 18. (a)線状低密度ポリエチレン及び(b)200,000よりも大きな 平均分子量を有する高分子量高密度ポリエチレンよりなる群から選択される材質 からなるバインダー中に配合されたイオン交換樹脂からなる不均質イオン交換物 質を含む、流体流処理用装置。 19. その物質がその装置の構造部材である請求の範囲18の装置。 20. その物質が装置の構造部材に熱接合されている請求の範囲19の装置。 21. 電気脱イオン化装置をなす請求の範囲18の装置。 22. 請求の範囲1の不均質イオン交換物質からなる膜。 23. 請求の範囲1の不均質イオン交換物質からなる平らなシート。 24. 請求の範囲1の不均質イオン交換物質からなる中空繊維。 25. 請求の範囲1の不均質イオン交換物質からなる中実フィラメント。 26. そのフィラメントがスクリーンまたは布地に織成されている請求の範囲 25の中実フィラメント。 27. 請求の範囲1の不均質イオン交換物質からなる粒子。 28. 請求の範囲1の不均質イオン交換物質からなるビーズ。 29. 請求の範囲1の不均質イオン交換物質からなるペレット。
