Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.上流側がろ過すべき空気流(26)に当てられ、このろ過すべき空気流(26)から 微生物の少なくとも一部を含む粒状物質を除去するためのフィルタ媒体(28)と、 フィルタ媒体(28)の上流側の近傍に配置されてフィルタ媒体のその側部の少なく とも一部分に紫外線を照射する少なくとも1つの紫外線源(34)とを有している殺 菌空気フィルタ装置(20)において、 線源(34)及びフィルタ媒体(28)は互いに対して移動可能であり、フィルタ媒体 (28)の上流側の表面が殺菌レベルの紫外線を系統的に照射されるように、線源(3 4)及びフィルタ媒体(28)のうちの一方を移動させる手段を設けていることを特徴 とする殺菌空気フィルタ装置。 2.フィルタ媒体(28)は長手方向軸線を備えた円筒形フィルタを有しており、フ ィルタ媒体(28)の上流側が殺菌レベルの紫外線を系統的に照射されるように、前 記フィルタが紫外線源(34)の近傍でその軸線回りに回転することを特徴とする請 求項1の殺菌空気フィルタ装置。 3.フィルタ媒体(28)は、空気処理装置内に配置された平面状のフィルタ媒体で あり、フィルタ媒体(28)の上流側が殺菌レベルの紫外線を系統的に照射されるよ うに、紫外線源(34)がフィルタ媒体の上流側を横切る方向に往復移動することを 特徴とする請求項1の殺菌空 気フィルタ装置。 4.フィルタ媒体(28)は、空気処理装置の空気ダクト(148)内に配置された平面 状のフィルタ媒体であり、フィルタ媒体(28)の円形領域が殺菌レベルの紫外線を 系統的に照射されるように、紫外線源(34)がフィルタ手段の上流側の近傍で線源 (34)の長手方向軸線に直交する軸線回りに回転することを特徴とする請求項1の 殺菌空気フィルタ装置。 5.フィルタ媒体(28)は繊維フィルタ媒体であることを特徴とする請求項1ない し4のいずれかの殺菌空気フィルタ装置。 6.ろ過すべき空気中に浮遊している粒状物質を捕らえるフィルタ媒体(28)の効 率を上昇させるためにフィルタの繊維を静電界によって分極化できるように、繊 維フィルタ媒体を静電強化することを特徴とする請求項5の殺菌空気フィルタ装 置。 7.フィルタ媒体(28)は空気のろ過に使用するのに適したひだ状の紙媒体である ことを特徴とする請求項1、2、3、4または6のいずれかの殺菌空気フィルタ 装置。 8.フィルタ媒体(28)は空気のろ過に使用するのに適したガラス繊維媒体である ことを特徴とする請求項1、2、3、4または6のいずれかの殺菌空気フィルタ 装置。 9.紫外線源は紫外線ランプであることを特徴とする先 行請求項のいずれかの殺菌空気フィルタ装置。 10.紫外線ランプはオゾン発生ランプであることを特徴とする請求項9の殺菌空 気フィルタ装置。 11.紫外線を吸収、反射することによって線源の殺菌効果を妨害する粒状物質が 線源(34)の表面上に滞積しないようにするため、紫外線源(34)はろ過すべき空気 と直接的に接触しないように覆われていることを特徴とする先行請求項のいずれ かの殺菌空気フィルタ装置。 12.さらに、フィルタ媒体(28)の下流側の少なくとも一部分に紫外線を照射する ため、フィルタ媒体(28)の下流側の近傍に少なくとも1つの紫外線源(34)が設け られていることを特徴とする先行請求項のいずれかの殺菌空気フィルタ装置。 13.空気フィルタにはさらに、フィルタ媒体の上流側に配置されて、酸化を促進 することによって空気フィルタの殺菌効果を高めるオゾンを発生する少なくとも 1つのコロナワイヤ(151)が設けられていることを特徴とする先行請求項のいず れかの殺菌空気フィルタ装置。 14.線源は、線源(34)を支持している軸(164)を駆動する電動モータを有する駆 動手段(50)によって回転することを特徴とする請求項4の殺菌空気フィルタ装置 。 15.線源(34)は、線源(34)を支持している軸(164)に固定されたプロペラ形ブレ ード(178)上の空気ダクト(148)を流れる空気移動の作用によって回転すること を特徴とする請求項4の殺菌空気フィルタ装置。 16.線源の回転速度は、軸(164)に取付られた摩擦クラッチ(180)によって制御さ れることを特徴とする請求項15の殺菌空気フィルタ装置。 17.ろ過すべき空気(26)を流入させるルーバ(24)及びろ過した空気(29)を流出さ せるルーバ(24)を設けたキャビネット(22)と、 円筒形中空部分内に配置されて長手方向軸線を有し、この軸線回りに回転でき るようにキャビネット(22)内に取り付けられているフィルタ媒体(28)と、 フィルタ媒体(28)の外側の近傍に取り付けられた紫外線ランプ(34)と、 フィルタ媒体(28)を長手方向軸線回りに回転させる駆動手段(50)と、 ろ過すべき空気(26)がルーバ(24)を通過することによってろ過すべき空気(26) を取り入れることができるようにするファン(42)と、 フィルタ媒体(28)と、ろ過した空気を(29)を流出させるルーバ(24)とを有して おり、 ろ過すべき空気(26)中に浮遊している空中微生物の少なくとも一部がフィルタ 媒体(28)によって捕らえられて、フィルタ媒体(28)の回転によってフィルタ媒体 の外側及びフィルタ媒体に捕らえられた微生物が紫外線ランプ(34)の近傍へ移動 した時、致死量の紫外線に照射されるようにしたことを特徴とする請求項1また は2の殺菌空気フィルタ装置。
