(57)【要約】 【目的】 被包装物に応じて円滑な充填やシ−ル部から
の粉状物の除去を図れるようにすること。 【構成】 横シ−ルジョ−1の回転周期を変えることな
く、横シ−ル領域での移動速度を減速しあるいは増速す
ることによって、横シ−ルジョ−1にしごき動作を行わ
せてシ−ル部分からの粉状物を除去したり、あるいは、
横シ−ルジョ−1の上手側で包材Sに撓みを形成して、
被包装物の充填を円滑に行わせるようにすること。

Description

【発明の詳細な説明】
【0001】
【産業上の利用分野】本発明は製袋包装機の横シ−ル機
構に関する。
【0002】
【従来の技術】筒状に曲成した包材の重なり合った縦の
縁同士をシ−ルし、ついで、1の包材の天の部分とつぎ
の包材の地の部分を横にシ−ルし、その上で、横シ−ル
部の中央を切り離すことによって袋を成形するようにし
た縦型ピロ−包装機は広く用いられている。
【0003】この種の包装機では、包装すべき被包装物
の如何に拘りなく、包材が一定の長さで送られてくる度
毎に横シ−ル機構を間欠的に作動させるようにし、ま
た、特開平4−87931号公報に開示された装置にお
いても、横シ−ル機構を包材の送りに同期させて回転さ
せるように構成されている。
【0004】このため、これまでの包装機では、かさ密
度の小さな被包装物を充填する場合に充填に比較的多く
の時間を要して、単位時間当りの製袋数量が限られると
いった問題を有し、また、粉ので易い被包装物を充填す
る場合に遅れて流下してきた粉状物が横シ−ル部に入り
込んでシールの信頼性を損ねてしまうといった問題を生
じさせる。
【発明が解決しようとする課題】本発明はこのような問
題に鑑みてなされたもので、その目的とするところは、
被包装物に応じて横シ−ル部材の送り速度を任意に変え
得るようにした新たな製袋包装機を提供することにあ
る。

【課題を解決するための手段】すなわち、本発明はこの
ような課題を達成するための製袋包装機の横シ−ル機構
として、シ−ル領域での移動時間と非シ−ル領域での移
動時間の和が一定になるように、かつシ−ル領域での横
シ−ル部材の移動速度が包材の搬送速度に対して速くあ
るいは遅くなるように制御する制御手段を設けて、上記
横シ−ル部材の移動速度を被包装物に応じて制御するよ
うにしたものである。

【実施例】そこで以下に図示した実施例について説明す
る。図面はいづれも本発明の一実施例を示したもので、
図1は、製袋包装機に用いられる横シ−ル機構の概要構
成を示したものである。
【0007】この横シ−ル機構は、本出願人がすでに特
開平5−77850号公報において開示したものと同様
のものであって、先端に横シ−ルジョ−1を備えた一対
の旋回ア−ム2.2を、包材を表裏から挟み込むように
して互いに内向きに旋回させる一方、これらの旋回ア−
ム2.2の基端枢支部3.3をタ−ンバックル機構4の
正逆転によって離開接近させることにより、横シ−ルジ
ョ−1.1にD字型の旋回軌跡を画かせるように構成し
たものである。
【0008】図中符号6は、これらの横シ−ルジョ−
1.1にD字型の軌跡を描かせつつ回転させるための駆
動モ−タで、この駆動モ−タ6は、後述する制御装置1
0により被包装物の種類に応じたモ−ドをもって、横シ
−ルジョ−1.1の回転周期を変えることなく、シ−ル
領域Rs での速度Vs を任意に変え得るように構成され
ている。
【0009】ところで、図2は、横シ−ル領域Rs での
横シ−ルジョ−1の移動速度Vs の違いが包材Sに与え
る影響を示したもので、図2(a)に示したように、包
材Sの搬送速度Vfに対する横シ−ルジョ−1の移動速
度Vs が小さい場合、つまり VS =Vf +Δv (Δv<0) である場合には、横シ−ルジョ−1の移動方向上手側で
包材Sが撓む結果、横シールジョー1がシール領域Rs
の終端部に達した時点では、包材Sが一杯まで拡がっ
て、かさ密度の小さな被包装物を効率良く充填し得る状
態になる。
【0010】他方、図2(b)に示したように、包材S
の搬送速度Vf に対して横シ−ルジョ−1の移動速度V
s が大きい場合、つまり、 VS =Vf +Δv (Δv>0) である場合には、横シ−ル領域Rs を移動してゆく間、
横シ−ルジョー1が包材S面をしごくことになるため、
被包装物の充填容積が小さくなる反面、横シ−ル部位に
流入した粉を除去することになって、シ−ルを確実にす
る利点を有することになる。
【0011】このような横シ−ルジョ−1の速度の増減
変更は、製袋包装機の他の系、例えば包材Sの搬送系や
被包装物の秤量系に影響を与えることなく、横シ−ルジ
ョ−1の同一回転周期内で行うことが必要で、シ−ル領
域Rs の全長さLにわたって横シ−ルジョ−1が移動す
るのに要する時間、つまりシ−ル時間をts、横シール
ジョー1がその他の部分を移動するのに要する時間、つ
まりある横シ−ル処理の終了からつぎの横シ−ル処理を
開始するまでの、非シール領域Rr を移動するのに要す
る時間をtr とすると、 ts +tr =一定 になるように、非シール領域Rr での時間tr を決める
必要がある。また、単位時間当りの製袋数、つまり単位
時間当りの横シ−ルジョ−の回転数をnとすると、 ts =L/vs =L/(vf +Δv) ts +tr =1/n であるから、上記式より tr =1/n−L/vs =1/n−L/(vf +Δv) となるようにts 、tr を設定すればよいことになる。
【0012】再び図1に戻って、図中符号11は、外部
設定手段14からの単位時間当りの製袋数nと、包材S
の搬送速度vf 等に関するデ−タを基に、横シ−ルジョ
−1のシ−ル領域Rs での移動速度vs =vf +Δvを
演算すると同時に、非シ−ル領域Rr での移動速度vr
を式から演算する演算手段であり、また、12は、駆
動モ−タ6として交流誘導モ−タを使用するか、あるい
はステップモ−タを使用するかによって、演算手段11
からのデ−タをもとに各領域Rs 、領域Rr での周波数
あるいはパルス巾を変え、これをもとに、モ−タ駆動手
段13を介して駆動モ−タ6を作動させる変速手段を示
している。
【0013】このように構成された実施例において、い
ま、ポテトチップスのようなかさ密度の小さな被包装物
を包装するような場合には、予めキ−ボ−ド等の外部設
定手段14により、包装する袋の長さと、単位時間当り
の製袋数nに関するデ−タのほかに撓ませモ−ドを選択
して、これを制御手段10に入力する。
【0014】これにより、演算手段11は、横シ−ルジ
ョ−1のシ−ル領域Rs での移動速度vs をノ−マルモ
−ドよりΔvだけ遅くする一方、非シ−ル領域Rr での
移動速度Vr を式から演算してその演算結果を変速手
段12に出力し、横シ−ルジョ−1の回転周期を変える
ことなく、シ−ル領域Rs での移動速度vs を包材Sの
搬送速度vf よりΔvだけ落して横シ−ル処理を行わせ
る。
【0015】これにより、横シ−ルジョ−1の移動方向
上手側では、図2に2点鎖線で示したように、シ−ル領
域Rs の終端で包材Sに大きな撓みを生じさせ、その部
分へのポテトチップス等の充填を円滑に行わせて、包装
作業にゆとりを持たせると同時に、装置のより高速化を
図ることが可能になる。
【0016】また一方、外部設定手段14により領域R
s での横シ−ルジョ−1の移動速度vs を包材Sの搬送
速度vf よりΔvだけ高めるようにしごきモ−ドに設定
した場合には、包材Sをしごくようにして横シ−ル処理
を行うことができるため、横シ−ルジョ−1の移動方向
上手側にしごき板等を併設すれば、横シ−ル部位から粉
状物を除去することができて、より確実な横シ−ルを施
すことができる。
【0017】ところで、上述した実施例は、シ−ル領域
Rs での横シ−ルジョ−1の移動速度をノ−マルモ−ド
から一定の速度Δvだけ増減させるようにしたものでる
が、被包装物の種類や包材Sの材質等に応じて、増減量
を任意に設定するように構成することもできる。

【発明の効果】以上述べたように本発明によれば、横シ
−ル部材のシ−ル領域での移動時間と非シ−ル領域での
移動時間が一定となるような条件のもとで、シ−ル領域
での移動速度を遅くしたり速くしたりすることができる
ようにしたので、包材の搬送系や被包装物の秤量系に影
響を与えることなく、被包装物の種類に応じて円滑な充
填を可能にしたり、あるいは、シ−ル部分の包材をしご
くことによりこの部分の粉状物を除去して、良好な横シ
−ル処理を可能にすることができる。

Claims (3)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項1】 被包装物の充填操作と併行して、帯状包
    材の搬送方向に移動する横シ−ル部材により上記包材に
    横向きの封止を連続して行う形式の製袋包装機におい
    て、上記横シ−ル部材の、シ−ル領域での移動時間と、
    非シ−ル領域での移動時間の和が一定で、かつ該シ−ル
    領域での上記横シ−ル部材の移動速度を上記包材の搬送
    速度に対して異ならしめるように制御する制御手段を設
    けて、上記横シ−ル部材の移動速度を制御可能にしたこ
    とを特徴とする製袋包装機の横シ−ル機構。
  2. 【請求項2】 上記横シ−ル部材を、シ−ル領域で上記
    包材の搬送方向と同方向に移動させるよう略D字状に旋
    回動させる駆動手段を設けたことを特徴とする請求項1
    記載の製袋包装機の横シ−ル機構。
  3. 【請求項3】 上記制御手段として、上記包材の搬送速
    度を基に該速度に一定の速度を加えあるいは減らすこと
    によって、上記横シ−ル部材のシ−ル領域での移動速度
    を設定するようにすることを特徴とする請求項1記載の
    製袋包装機の横シ−ル機構。
