Claims (7)
- 1.Co及び/或いはNi基のバインダ相中にWCと、炭化物及び/或いは炭窒 化物の立方晶相を含有し、富バインダ相表面領域を有する超硬質合金炭化物のイ ンサートにおいて、金属元素の総含有量として表現された立方晶炭化物を形成し ている立方晶相の量が6w.t.%と15w.t.%の間にあり、該富バインダ 相領域の下の領域のバインダ相含有量がインサート内部のバインダ相含有量の0 .85−1倍であり、且つ立方晶相の含有量がインサート内部の立方晶相含有量 と本質的に同一であることを特徴とする改良されたタフネスと塑性変形抵抗を発 揮する富バインダ相表面領域を有する超硬質合金炭化物のインサート。
- 2.富バインダ相表面領域における該立方晶相含有量が本質的にゼロである、請 求項1に記載のインサート。
- 3.インサート表面における立方晶相の占める割合が<50%である、請求項1 或いは2に記載のインサート。
- 4.富バインダ相領域のバインダ相含有量が最大値でインサート内部のバインダ 相含有量の1.1倍であり、当該最大値が表面から10−30μmの距離の個所 における値である、請求項1−3のいづれか1項に記載のインサート。
- 5.インサートにCVD法或いはPVD法によって少くとも1つの耐摩耗被覆層 が施こされている、請求項1−4のいづれか1項に記載のインサート。
- 6.好ましくはチタンの炭化物、窒化物或いは炭窒化物が最内位の被覆物として 沈積している、請求項1−5のいづれか1項に記載のインサート。
- 7.富バインダ相の超硬質合金炭化物インサートを窒素含有原料の真空下での公 知の焼結により製造する方法において、この焼結の後に、インサートを5−10 0分間1280−1430℃の温度で、40−400ミリバールの窒素雰囲気で 熱処理することを特徴とする製造方法。
