Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize power generation by means of vibration energy generated at a vehicle body by assembling into a portion to conduct amplitude motion perpendicular to the advance direction of a vehicle body, generators and a spring to accumulate the energy of vibration to be generated by this amplitude motion. CONSTITUTION:A spring 3 to accumulate vehicle body vibration energy as spring vibration energy is interveniently provided between a shock absorber 1 that is furnished to an automobile or the like and is for supporting a vehicle body at a vehicle wheel 8 in shock absorption, and a spring stopper 2 at the upper part. Racks 6 are formed at the shaft portion this shock absorber 1, and are made to mesh with pinions 4 fitted to the rotary shafts of generators 10, and the pinions 4 are rotated by means of the amplitude motion of the shaft portion of the shock absorber 1 to be generated at the time of vehicle travel, and power is generated by driving the generators 10 by this rotation.

Since the external force applied to the vehicle body by the vibration received from the road surface is perpendicular to the traveling direction of the vehicle body, it receives the force perpendicularly to the traveling direction of the vehicle body, but the external force does not exert the force in the traveling direction. Then, the generator generates power by the amplitude motion, and the vehicle body can use it as energy and can damp or remove the vibration, which is effective for energy saving. The effect is remarkable especially when the road surface is severely uneven, for example, when driving on a mountain. This is especially true of rally cars and tanks, and the greater the external force applied to the vehicle body when vibrating, the greater the amount of power generated by the generator. So are trucks, trailers, and buses.
