【産業上の利用分野】この発明はプラスチック・ガス抜
き蓋に関するものである。
【０００２】
【従来の技術】炭酸飲料のような、加圧内容物を容器に
詰めるのに使われるようになっている蓋においては、底
壁、めねじのある周辺スカートを有する蓋を利用するこ
とが共通しており、そこでねじはガス抜き通路を形成す
るために中断されているので、上記蓋が容器からねじ戻
される時には、内容物の圧力は上記ガス抜き通路を経て
消散される。上記蓋がプラスチックで作られる時には、
製造業における公差は、上記容器に対して半径方向に移
動しようとする上記蓋に帰着することもあり、ガス抜き
通路の少なくとも若干のガス抜き通路が妨げられるかも
知れず、これにより上記内容物のガス抜きに不利な影響
を及ぼす。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】本発明の主目的は、蓋
が容器に関して改良された半径方向の位置決めを可能に
し、そのような作用を与える構成が最低の費用で得ら
れ、上記構成が自動機械により、容器に上記蓋を装着す
るのに悪影響を及ぼさず、そして上記蓋がガラスまたは
プラスチック容器と共に使用できる、プラスチック蓋を
提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】本発明によれば、プラス
チック・ガス抜き蓋は、底壁、容器のねじに係合するよ
うにしためねじを有する周辺スカートを含み、そして上
記ねじは上記蓋が容器からねじ戻されるにつれ内容物の
圧力を消散する軸方向ガス抜き通路を形成するため、円
周上で一定間隔離れた複数の点において中断される。上
記ガス抜き通路の少なくとも若干のものは、上記ねじか
らは一定間隔離れて配置され、かつ軸方向に延び出した
一体成形リブをその上に有している。各リブの半径方向
厚さは、ねじの厚さよりも小さく、そして各リブは半径
方向に弓形をなし、また好ましくは軸方向に弓形をな
し、好ましくはその横方向の幅よりも大きな軸方向長さ
を有しているので、同時に、いくつかのねじを補いかつ
係合することもできる。上記蓋は、連続ねじを有するガ
ラス容器、および連続ねじまたは溝ねじを有するプラス
チック容器と共に使用できる。各リブを軸方向に弓形に
することにより、リブの異なる軸方向の点において、複
数のねじと係合することもでき、これにより蓋に関して
容器を中心に置きながら装着および除去のトルクを最小
にする。

【実施例】図１−６について説明すると、本発明を具体
化するプラスチック・ガス抜き蓋２０は、底壁２１、及
び容器Ｃのらせんねじ山２４とかみ合うようになってい
るめねじ２３を有する周辺スカート２２を含む。上記め
ねじ２３は軸方向ガス抜き通路２５を形成するために、
円周上に一定間隔離れて配置した点で中断され、上記蓋
が容器からねじ戻されるにつれ内容物の圧力を消散させ
る。上記通路２５の少なくとも若干のものは上記ねじか
ら一定間隔離れかつ軸方向に延び出す一体成形リブ２６
をその上に有している。各リブ２６の半径方向厚さは、
上記めねじ２３の半径方向厚さよりも小さく、そして各
リブは半径方向に弓形（図５）および軸方向に弓形（図
６）である。複数のリブ２６は好ましくは等間隔に配置
され、そして１個のリブ２６が好ましくは各通路内に設
けられる。各リブ２６の円周上の幅は、本質的に各ガス
抜き通路２５の幅よりも小さい。
【０００６】各リブ２６の横断面は、自動機械による装
着を容易にするため、垂直断面を好ましくは弓形とし、
そして装着期間中らせんねじ山２４とのかみ合いによっ
て生じる力を最小にするために、水平方向または半径方
向断面を弓形としている。通常各リブ２６は横幅よりも
大きい軸方向長さを有しているので、同時に、いくつか
のねじを補いかつ係合することもできる。上記蓋は、連
続ねじを有するガラス容器、および連続ねじまたは溝ね
じを有するプラスチック容器と共に使用できる。各リブ
２６を軸方向に弓形に有することにより、リブの異なる
軸方向の点において、複数のねじと係合することもで
き、これにより蓋に関して容器を中心に置きながら装着
および除去のトルクを最小にする。このようにして１個
のリブ２６により少なくとも２つのねじが係合され、一
方のねじ２４は軸方向に隣接するねじ２４以上にリブ２
６を変形させる。例えば図３に示されるように、容器ね
じ２４ａは、その半径方向に最も厚い点でリブ２６と係
合し、一方ねじ２４ｂは、半径方向に最も薄い点でリブ
２６と係合する。
【０００７】上記プラスチック・ガス抜き蓋２０は、ポ
リプロピレンまたはポリエチレンのような、従来のどん
なプラスチックからでも作ることができる。上記蓋２０
は、参考までに本明細書に添付された、１９８９年７月
２７日出願の米国出願第０７／３８６，３９１号に示さ
れるように、また脆弱線Ｌに沿いスカート２２に連結さ
れた不正開封表示バンドＢを好ましくは含んでいる。図
８−１０に示される形式において、上記蓋２０は、連続
ねじ、または図示のように容器Ｃ′の首に軸方向ガス抜
き通路３０を形成する溝ねじ２４ｃを有する、ＰＥＴ
（ポリエチレンテレフタレート）のような材料で作られ
るプラスチック容器と共に用いられる。この形式におい
て、上記ねじ２４ｃはリブ２６を変形させるだけでな
く、ねじセグメントの縁３１もまた上記リブ２６内に切
り込む傾向がある。
【０００８】上記形式のおのおのにおいて、上記リブは
また、上記蓋の除去中、蓋のスカートが使用者により押
しつぶされるおそれのある範囲を制限する。このように
して上記スカートが十分大きく押しつぶされないように
して、ガス抜き通路を限定している。従って、上記蓋が
容器に関して改良された半径方向の位置決めを可能に
し、そのような作用を与える構成が最低の費用で得ら
れ、上記構成が自動機械により、容器に上記蓋を装着す
るのに悪影響を及ぼさず、そして上記蓋がガラスまたは
プラスチック容器と共に使用できる蓋を提供したことが
理解できる。

Claims (7)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】プラスチック・ガス抜き蓋であって、 底壁（２１）、 容器のねじ（２４）と係合するようになっているめねじ
    （２３）を有する周辺スカート（２２）であって、上記
    ねじ（２３）が円周上一定間隔離れた複数の点で中断さ
    れて、上記蓋が容器からねじ戻されるにつれ内容物の圧
    力を消散させるための軸方向ガス抜き通路（２５）を形
    成する、上記周辺スカートを含み、 上記ガス抜き通路の少なくとも若干のものは、上記ねじ
    （２３）からは一定間隔離れて配置されかつ軸方向に延
    び出した一体成形リブ（２６）をそのガス抜き通路上に
    有しており、 各リブ（２６）の半径方向厚さは、上記ねじ（２３）の
    半径方向厚さよりも小さく、 そして、各リブ（２６）の円周上の幅は、それぞれのガ
    ス抜き通路（２５）の円周上の幅よりも小さく、 上記各リブ（２６）が半径方向断面において弓形をなし
    ていることを特徴とする、上記プラスチック・ガス抜き
    蓋。
  2. 【請求項２】上記各リブ（２６）が、垂直断面において
    弓形をなしている請求項１に記載の蓋。
  3. 【請求項３】上記各リブ（２６）が、２つのねじの少な
    くとも一部分を補うような長さを有する請求項２に記載
    の蓋。
  4. 【請求項４】上記リブ（２６）が、事実上等間隔に配置
    されている請求項１乃至３のいずれか一つに記載の蓋。
  5. 【請求項５】１個のリブ（２６）が、上記各ガス抜き通
    路（２５）内に設けられる請求項１乃至４のいずれか一
    つに記載の蓋。
  6. 【請求項６】ガラス容器と組み合わされる請求項１乃至
    ５のいずれか一つに記載の蓋であって、該容器上にねじ
    があり、該ねじにより上記リブが変形される前記蓋。
  7. 【請求項７】ねじを有する容器と組み合わされる請求項
    １乃至６のいずれか一つに記載の蓋であって、該ねじが
    該容器上の軸方向ガス抜き通路を形成するために中断さ
    れ、この中断されたねじが上記リブを変形させる前記
    蓋。
