Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は少なくとも１種の塩化ジメチルジアリルアンモ
ニウム（DMDAAC）／アクリル酸型重合体を含有する毛髪
用化粧料の改良に関する。これらの重合体は低濃度で特
に優れたコンディショニング効果を生じアニオン系と適
合する。
アニオンおよび／またはカチオン重合体、活性剤、界面
活性剤、皮膚軟化剤および工業で一般に使用される他の
添加剤および防腐剤を含有するシャンプー、発汗防止処
方、ふけ抑制リンスコンディショナーなどの化粧料およ
び保護化粧料組成物は多くの引例に開示されている。DM
DAAC/アクリル酸重合体に関するあるいはアニオンおよ
びカチオン重合体を含む化粧料および保護化粧料処方物
を開示している引例としては次の特許がある。
1.米国特許第3,761,417号は粒子沈着増強剤を含有する
洗浄剤組成物に関する。さらに詳細には、この特許は、
殺菌剤、有機界面活性剤およびカチオン重合体のような
水不溶性粒子を含む洗浄剤および棒状化粧用洗浄剤を開
示している。界面活性剤がこれらの組成物の必須成分で
ありDMDAACは可能なカチオン重合体として言及されてい
る。
2.米国特許第3,769,398号はベタイン、スルホベタン、
アミンオキシド若しくはその混合物のような活性の材
料、ポリエチレンイミン−エチレンオキシド若しくはプ
ロピレンオキシド重合体のような水溶性重合体、または
プロポキシル化ポリエチレンを含む非イオン毛髪用シャ
ンプー処方を開示している。
3.米国特許第4,329,335号は活性剤（１−イミダザリル
−１）クロロフェノキシ−3,3−ジメチルブタン−２−
オン）および両性界面活性剤を含む両性、非イオンふけ
抑制シャンプーを記載している。DMDAACはこの特許では
好適な第四級化アンモニウム化合物として開示されてい
る。
4.公開欧州特許出願第74,819号はジンクピリチオン、グ
ルカンまたはグアールゴム、ヒドロキシエチルセルロー
スおよびDMDAACのホモポリマーまたはDMDAACとアクリル
アミドとの共重合体を含むふけ抑制クリームリンスコン
ディショナーを開示している。
5.米国特許第3,996,146号はジメチルジアリルアンモニ
ウム塩から誘導された第四級重合体を含むカチオン樹脂
約0.05〜約2.5重量％を包含しているシャンプー処方を
開示している。
6.米国特許第4,040,984号は第四級ジアリルジアルキル
アンモニウム単量体とアクリル酸を包含している電気伝
導紙の製造に有用な重合体を開示している。
7.米国特許第3,912,808号は、還元剤および水溶性第二
級若しくは第三級アミン重合体またはジアリルアミンの
重合体またはジアリルジアルキルアンモニウム塩の第四
級重合体の水溶液を使用して毛髪をウェーブしたりある
いは直毛にする組成物および方法を開示している。また
この特許はアクリルアミドまたはジアセトンアクリルア
ミドを含むジアルキルアンモニウム重合体の使用を開示
している。塩化ジメチルジアリルアンモニウム／アクリ
ル酸重合体の使用は開示されておらず示唆もない。
8.米国特許第4,027,008号は水溶性第二級若しくは第三
級アミン重合体またはジアリルアミンの重合体またはジ
アリルジアルキルアンモニウム塩の第四級重合体を含む
毛髪処理組成物を開示している。この特許はDMDAAC/ア
クリル酸重合体の使用を開示または示唆しておらず、毛
髪を処理するために広範囲に使用される多くの製品は不
活性カチオン添加剤であることができるアニオン界面活
性剤を含むと述べている。
9.米国特許第3,986,825号は化粧料にジアルキルジアリ
ルアンモニウム単量体とアクリルアミドまたはジアセト
ンアクリルアミドとの共重合体を包含するジアルキルジ
アリルアンモニウム重合体の使用を開示している。しか
しながらこれらのカチオン部分とアクリル酸を含む重合
体は開示しておらず示唆もない。
要するにジアルキルジアリルアンモニウム重合体は広く
化粧料に応用されているがジアリルジアルキルアンモニ
ウム単量体とアクリル酸を含む重合体の使用は当技術分
野で公知ではなく示唆もない。これらの重合体はアニオ
ン系においてカチオン活性のレベルを予期されない適合
性をもって増大する。
本発明は、 ａ）アルキル基が１〜18個の炭素原子を有するアルキル
基、好ましくはC1〜C4アルキルから独立に選択され、第
四級ジアリルジアルキルアンモニウム単量体の対イオン
がイオン化定数10-13以上を有する酸の共役塩基からな
る群から選択され、さらに好適には、フッ化物、塩化
物、臭化物、水酸化物、硝酸塩、酢酸塩、硫酸水素塩お
よび第一リン酸塩からなる群から選択される第四級ジア
リルジアルキルアンモニウム単量体を全重合体重量の約
60〜約99％および ｂ）アクリル酸およびメタクリル酸からなる群から選択
されるアニオン単量体を全重合体重量の約１〜約40％を
包含し、重合体の重量平均分子量がゲル浸透クロマトグ
ラフィで定量して約50,000〜約10,000,000の範囲である 重合体の有効量を毛髪用化粧料にに添加することを特徴
とする毛髪用化粧料のコンディショニング特性を改良す
る方法に関する。
また本発明は、上述した重合体を含有する改良毛髪用化
粧料に関する。
本明細書中で使用される“毛髪用化粧料”なる言葉はコ
ンディショナー、リンス、セットローション、シャンプ
ー、ブリーチ、ダイおよびヘアスプレーを包含するがこ
れらに限定されるものではない。本重合体はすべりを良
くし、なめらかさを与え、泡立ちの良さを生じ、一方シ
ャンプー処方ではぬれた紙にくしが通り易くなることが
改良される。また本重合体は処理した紙にやわらかいす
べすべした感触を与え、一方帯電防止特性を生じドライ
ヘアの光沢を増す。また繰り返して使用しても毛髪に蓄
積は生じない。
毛髪用化粧料は一般に活性剤、安定剤、コンディショナ
ー、界面活性剤、皮膚軟化剤および毛髪工業で一般に使
用される他の添加剤および防腐剤を包含している。例え
ば活性剤はダイ、過酸化水素のようなブリーチ剤、毛髪
ウェーブおよびストレート剤、中和剤およびセッケンお
よび洗浄剤を含む界面活性剤を包含することができる。
典型的な活性剤は米国特許第3,986,825号に十分に記載
されており、この特許を本明細書中に引用する。
本発明の重合体はコンディショニング効果のほかに分散
を高め毛髪用化粧料の作用成分の効能を改良することが
できる。
本発明で使用される“有効量”なる言葉は処理される毛
髪用化粧料コンディショニング特性を改良するために必
要とされる重合体の量を意味する。一般に本発明の重合
体は、重合体を添加する毛髪用化粧料の全重量に対して
活性重合体固形分約0.1〜約５％の範囲の用量で添加す
る。好適には処理される毛髪用組成物の全重量に対して
約0.2〜約３％、最適には約0.5〜約2.5％の用量範囲で
ある。
第四級ジアリルジアルキルアンモニウム単量体は全重合
体重量に対して約60〜約99％を包含し、一方アニオン単
量体は全重合体重量に対して約１〜約40％を包含する。
第四級：アニオン重量比は重合体の全重量に対して約9
5:5〜約75:25であることが好ましい。従って本発明の重
合体では、重合体のカチオン部分の方が多く、アニオン
部分の方が少ない。さらに本発明の重合体に他の部分を
存在させてもよい。
特に適当な重合体はカチオン部分が塩化ジメチルジアリ
ルアンモニウム（DMDAAC）または塩化ジエチルジアリル
アンモニウム（DEDAAC）でありアニオン部分はアクリル
酸である。DMDAAC/DEDAAC:アクリル酸重量比は全重合体
重量に対して約99:1〜約60:40の範囲が好ましく、約95:
5〜75:25が最適である。
本発明の重合体は、ゲル浸透クロマトグラフィで定量し
て約50,000〜約10,000,000の範囲のいかなる重量平均分
子量を有してもよく、好適な分子料は約200,000〜約5,0
00,000の範囲である。本発明の重合体として最も好まし
い粘度はブルックフィールドLVFNo.4スピンドルを60rpm
で使用して定量した約4,000〜約10,000cpsの範囲であ
る。これらの重合体は、ButlerおよびAngelo“ジャーナ
ルオブアメリカンケミカルソサイエティ（Journal of A
merican Chemical Society）”第79巻、3128頁（1957
年）によって開示された技術または米国再登録特許第2
8,543号で示唆されている技術のような通常のいかなる
フリーラジカル重合技術を使用しても調整することがで
きる。これらの引例を本明細書中に引用する。
実施例 次の実施例は本発明の範囲を限定するためのものではな
い。
種々の水溶性重合体を毛髪保護化粧料の効果および有用
性を評価するために試験した。比較のため塩化ジメチル
ジアリルアンモニウム（DMDAAC）のホモポリマーをそし
てDMDAACとアクリル酸との共重合体（DMDAAC/AA）を含
む二つの主要グループの重合体を評価した。
重合体は、脱イオン水の溶液および両性界面活性剤を含
む水溶液で試験した。次に溶液を毛髪に適用し、すべり
の良さ、くし通りの良さ、ゆるやかさ、セット（スオー
ドテスト、sword test）カールのもち、および実在性を
主観的に評価した。
これらのスクリーニングパラメーターを以下に記載す
る。
スクリーニングパラメーター 次のパラメーターを使用して全重合体を主観的に評価し
た。
すべりの良さ すべりの良さは重合体溶液で処理した毛
髪見本を指が感じる主観的な感触である。
評価 １（極めてよくすべる）〜６（脱イオン水での感
触） くし通りの良さ くし通りの良さは毛髪の処理見本のも
つれをとる主観的な容易さである。
評価 １（容易）〜６（困難） ゆるやかさ ゆるやかさはくしを入れた後、静電荷の発
生によってかたむいた見本の最も外側の毛髪によって形
作られる角度である。
評価 １（22.5゜）〜８（180゜） スオードテスト スオードテストはヘアセットを測定す
る。水平面の一端で保持した時に乾燥した毛髪の束によ
って形作られる水平面からの角度を定量する。
評価 １（90゜）〜８（11.5゜） カールのもち カールのもちはローラーで乾燥した毛髪
をほどいた後、時間中に保持されるカールの量である。
式中 Ｌ＝完全に伸ばした毛髪の長さLo＝影響を受ける
前の毛髪の長さ（開始値） Lt＝影響を受けた時間（ｔ）後の毛髪の長さ 実在性 実在性は重合体が毛髪に保持される量である。
処理した白色のナチュラルヘアをマクロポリアニオン赤
色染料（Rubine）で染色した。毛髪の赤色の強さを毛髪
のカチオン重合体の実在性の作用とした。
評価 １（暗赤色）〜10（脱イオン水対照） 全重合体を１％W/W活性重合体濃度で試験した。重合体
溶液1gを手で白色の新しいナチュラルヘアに加え、すす
いだ。
使用した両性界面活性剤溶液は６％W/W活性コカミドプ
ロピルベタインとした。
次のポリDMDAAC試料に分けた。
次のDMDAAC/AA重合体に分けた。
実施例１〜10 脱イオン水および両性系の各々に対してこれらの試料の
スクリーニングテストの結果を表Ｉおよび表IIに示す。
実施例11〜20（DMDAAC/AA） これらの試料についてスクリーニングテストの結果を表
III（両性界面活性剤）および表IV（両性界面活性剤お
よび脱イオン系）に示す。
ゲル浸透クロマトグラフィで定量して重量平均分子量約
1,300,000を有する80/20DMDAAC/AA重合体（Merquat 28
0）およびさらに比率を変えた５試料を評価のために調
製した。
試料Ｅ、Ｆ、Ｇ、ＨおよびＩについては、分子量の増加
につれてすべりの良さおよびくし通りの良さがわずかに
改良した。
カール保持％は分子量の増加につれて劇的に改良した。
ゆるやかさは70/30および60/40試料で改良した。Rubine
実在性はAA％の増加につれて低下した。これらの結果は
DMDAAC/AA重合体の選択が高分子量および低AA％である
べきだということを示している。
実施例21および22 これらの試料は毛髪用化粧料処方における本発明の重合
体の使用を示すものである。
実施例21 コンディショニングシャンプー 次の成分を使用し、次の方法に従って澄明な粘性シャン
プー処方物を調製して本発明の重合体とアニオン界面活
性剤が優れた適合性を示した。正味のカチオン電化密度
を有するMerquat 280のアニオン系との適合性は驚くほ
どであり予期されるものではない。 成分 ％ W/W Ａ−脱イオン水 59.40 ラウリル硫酸ナトリウム 30.00 PEG150ジステアリン酸塩 0.40 ラウラミドDEA1 2.00 コカミドMEA2 2.00 Ｂ−ラウリルサルコシン酸ナトリウム 4.00 MERQUAT 2803 2.00 Ｃ−テトラナトリウムEDTA4 0.20 クエン酸 所望される通り pH6.5に 調製方法 水を75℃に加熱する。Ａで列挙した成分をその順序で加
える。各々の添加物が透明になり均質になった後に進行
させる。70〜75℃に維持する。ラウリルサルコシン酸ナ
トリウムMERQUAT280を予め混合し、50℃でＢとして添加
する。
クエン酸でpH6.5に調製する。任意に芳香剤、防腐剤お
よび染料を添加してもよい。粘度:2000cps 1.ラウラミドDEAはラウリルジエタノールアミンであ
る。
2.コカミドMEAはココモノエタノールアミドである。
3.MERQUAT280はCalgon社で市販されている粘度（ブルッ
クフィールドLVF、＃４スピンドル＠30rpm）4,000〜10,
000cpsおよびMW約1,300,000を有するDMDAACとアクリル
酸の80/20W/W重合体である。
4.テトラナトリウムEDTAは、エチレンジアミン四酢酸の
ナトリウム塩である。
実施例22 カチオンケアリンス 次の成分を使用し、次の方法に従ってクリームリンス処
方物を調製した。
MERQUAT280を含有するこのクリームリンスは毛髪のやわ
らかさや光沢を残し、油分がないままであった。 成 分 ％ w/w Ａ−脱イオン水 95.25 ナトロゾル250HR1 0.75 Ｂ−ポラワックス 2.00 セテアリールアルコール３ 2.00 ラウレス234 1.00 Ｃ−MERQUAT2805 2.00 Ｄ−乳 酸 pH4.0に 調製方法 高速撹拌を使用してナトラゾル250HRを水に徐々にそそ
ぐ。完全に水和されるまで混合を続ける。混合を続け、
Ａを75℃に加熱する。別の容器にＢの成分を75℃に加熱
する。ＢをＡに徐々に添加する。混合を続け、均質にな
った時冷却を始める。混合、冷却を続け35℃でMERQUAT2
80を添加する。乳酸でpH4.0に調節する。任意に芳香
剤、防腐剤および染料を使用してもよい。
1.ナトロゾル250HRはヘラクレスから市販されているヒ
ドロキシエチルセルロースである。
2.ポラワックスは市販されている乳化ワックスである。
3.セテアリールアルコールはヘンケルから入手し得る50
/50ミンターセチルアルコールおよびステアリルアルコ
ールである。
4.ラウレス23はマリノールケミカルから入手し得るポリ
エチレングリコールドデシルエーテルである。
5.MERQUAT280はDMDAACとアクリル酸の80/20W/W共重合体
である（実施例21の注解参照）。

Claims (8)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】ａ）アルキル基が１〜18個の炭素原子を有
    するアルキル基から独立して選択され、第四級ジアリル
    ジアルキルアンモニウム単量体の対イオンが、イオン化
    定数10-13以上を有する酸の塩基からなる群から選択さ
    れる第四級ジアリルジアルキルアンモニウム単量体を重
    合体の約60〜約99重量％、および ｂ）アクリル酸およびメタクリル酸からなる群から選択
    されるアニオン単量体を重合体の約１〜約40重量％包含
    し、かつ ゲル浸透クロマトグラフィで定量した重量平均分子量が
    約50,000〜約10,000,000の範囲である。 重合体の有効量を毛髪用化粧料に添加することを特徴と
    する、毛髪用化粧料のコンディショニング特性を改良す
    る方法。
  2. 【請求項２】ａ）アルキル基が、C1〜C4である特許請求
    の範囲第１項記載の方法。
  3. 【請求項３】ａ）が塩化ジメチルジアリルアンモニウム
    と塩化ジエチルジアリルアンモニウムとからなる群から
    選択され、ｂ）がアクリル酸である特許請求の範囲第１
    項記載の方法。
  4. 【請求項４】有効量が、毛髪用化粧料の約0.1〜約５重
    量％の範囲である特許請求の範囲第１項記載の方法。
  5. 【請求項５】毛髪用化粧料が、活性剤および界面活性剤
    を包含する特許請求の範囲第１項記載の方法。
  6. 【請求項６】界面活性剤が、アニオン界面活性剤である
    特許請求の範囲第５項記載の方法。
  7. 【請求項７】対イオンが、フッ化物、塩化物、臭化物、
    水酸化物、硝酸塩、酢酸塩、硫酸水素塩および第一リン
    酸塩からなる群から選択される特許請求の範囲第１項記
    載の方法。
  8. 【請求項８】ａ）塩化ジメチルジアリルアンモニウムお
    よび塩化ジエチルジアリルアンモニウムからなる群から
    選択される単量体を重合体の約60〜約99重量％、および ｂ）アクリル酸およびメタクリル酸からなる群から選択
    される単量体を重合体の約１〜約40重量％包含し、重合
    体がゲル浸透クロマトグラフィで定量して約50,000〜約
