Abstract

(57)【要約】 【目的】バーコード付クーポン券の真贋を判別できる紙
幣鑑別装置を提供する。 【構成】この発明によるバーコードセンサ付紙幣鑑別装
置の判別搬送制御回路４０は、磁気センサ２０の出力を
受信して紙幣の磁気成分を検出する磁気検出回路と、光
学センサ２１〜２６の出力を受信して紙葉上のバーコー
ドを検出する光学検出回路と、所定のバーコードパター
ンを記憶したバーコード記憶回路とを備えている。光学
検出回路は、光学センサ２１〜２６により読み出した紙
葉のバーコードをバーコード記憶回路に記憶されたバー
コードパターンと比較してこれらが一致したときに搬送
装置１６に駆動信号を付与して紙葉を排出口１４に移動
し、紙幣及びバーコード付紙葉のいずれでも鑑別するこ
とが可能となる。

Description

【発明の詳細な説明】
【０００１】
【産業上の利用分野】この発明は紙幣鑑別、特に紙幣の
鑑別に加えてバーコードが付されたクーポン券も鑑別で
きるバーコードセンサ付紙幣鑑別装置に関連する。
【０００２】
【従来の技術】クーポン券等の証券を光学的手段により
検出することは例えば特開昭５３−３３５３２号公報に
示されるように公知である。この公報では、「サンプル
クーポン」に対応する「サンプルワード」を集合し蓄積
する記憶装置と、「サンプルワード」を比較記憶装置へ
導入する装置へ導入する装置と、クーポンの表面に作ら
れたゾーン又は区域を順次或いは枠ごとに光学的に走査
し読取る装置と、これによって得られた読取信号を数値
データに変換するための変換装置と、数値データを変換
し一個の「ワード」にまとめこれらを比較記憶装置へ送
るマイクロ処理装置と、同一又は受理クーポンと不一致
又は拒否クーポンとを区別するための装置とからなるク
ーポン類の識別装置が開示されている。
【０００３】また、特開昭６０−２２０７９７号公報に
は、紙版に所要の文字及びデザインを施して成りかつ情
報単位の配列によって金額の重み、交換商品名などの必
要な情報を磁気インクで記録した情報列をギフト券に設
け、選別装置に備えた磁気検知ヘッドによりギフト券の
情報列を検出する技術が開示されている。
【０００４】特開昭５９−８３２９２号公報には、ギフ
ト券投入口と、ギフト券に記憶されたデータを読み取る
ための処理部と、この処理部によって読み取られたデー
タにより販売許可信号を送出する制御部とを備えた自動
販売機が開示されている。
【０００５】また、特開昭６０−１９６３９８号には紙
幣選別装置により選別できるギフト券が開示されてい
る。このギフト券は紙幣選別装置における移送路に挿入
し得る横幅をもつ長方形の紙版に、所要の文字及び所要
のデザインが施されたものである。移送路を移送する際
に紙幣選別装置に備えた紙幣選別用の２個の磁気検知ヘ
ッドにより各々検出される各位置に、磁気インクから成
る情報単位を一定の間隔をもって一列に配設された第１
情報列と、第１情報列の各情報単位に各々対応する磁気
インクから成る情報単位を一列に配設すると共に、所要
位置の情報単位を切除して空白単位を設け、この空白単
位の配置によて金額の重み、交換商品名などギフト券と
して必要とする情報を記録した第２情報列とがギフト券
に設けられる。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】近時のギフト券にはバ
ーコードが付されているので、バーコード付ギフト券を
識別する必要があるが、紙幣とバーコード付ギフト券と
のいずれも識別できる装置が必要である。しかし、現在
このような装置は提案されていない。
【０００７】この発明は紙幣及びバーコード付ギフト券
のいずれでも識別できるバーコードセンサ付紙幣鑑別装
置を提供することを目的とする。
【０００８】
【課題を達成するための手段】この発明によるバーコー
ドセンサ付紙幣鑑別装置は、挿入口から投入される紙幣
を搬送通路に沿って挿入口から排出口に移動する搬送装
置と、搬送通路に隣接して配置された磁気センサ及び光
学センサと、磁気センサ及び光学センサに接続されかつ
搬送装置へ駆動出力を送出する判別搬送制御回路とを備
えている。判別搬送制御回路は、磁気センサの出力を受
信して紙幣の磁気成分を検出する磁気検出回路と、光学
センサの出力を受信して紙葉上のバーコードを検出する
光学検出回路と、所定のバーコードパターンを記憶した
バーコード記憶回路とを備え、光学検出回路は、光学セ
ンサにより読み出した紙葉のバーコードをバーコード記
憶回路に記憶されたバーコードパターンと比較してこれ
らが一致したときに搬送装置に駆動信号を付与して紙幣
を排出口に移動する。このバーコードセンサ付紙幣鑑別
装置では判別搬送制御回路は磁気センサにより検出した
磁気信号により紙幣が所定の紙幣であるか否かを検出し
た後、バーコードの有無を検出する。

【作用】紙幣及びバーコード付紙葉のいずれでも鑑別す
ることが可能となる。

【実施例】以下、この発明によるバーコード付紙幣鑑別
装置の実施例を図１〜図４について説明する。
【００１１】図１に示すように、この発明によるバーコ
ードセンサ付紙幣鑑別装置は、紙幣鑑別装置１０と、紙
幣鑑別装置１０の上部に固定されたスタッカ１１とを備
え、紙幣鑑別装置１０とスタッカ１１は挿入口１２から
投入される紙幣を紙幣鑑別装置１０の排出口１４まで移
動する搬送通路１３により連絡される。搬送通路１３は
図２に示すように駆動プーリ１７に捲回された搬送ベル
ト１５を備えた搬送装置１６によって構成される。紙幣
鑑別装置１０は搬送通路１３に隣接して配置された磁気
ヘッド又はホール素子からなる磁気センサ２０と、発光
ダイオードと受光トランジスタのホトカップリングによ
り構成される光学センサ２１〜２６とを備えている。磁
気センサ２０は紙幣の所定の位置に印刷された磁性イン
キを検出する。光学センサ２１〜２３は挿入口１２に隣
接して配置され、赤外線による紙幣の光学的透過パター
ンを検出する。例えば、光学センサ２２は紙幣鑑別装置
１０の下部フレーム３０に固定された発光ダイオード２
２aと、上部フレーム３１に固定された受光トランジス
タ２２bとを備えている。図示しないが、上部フレーム
３１は下部フレーム３０に軸着され、下部フレーム３０
に対して上部フレーム３１を開放することにより、搬送
通路１３内でジャミングした紙幣を容易に除去すること
ができる。光学センサ２４及び２５は発光ダイオードと
受光トランジスタがケース内で並行に配置された構造を
有し、それぞれ紙幣の裏面及び表面で反射した光を受光
するバーコードセンサである。光学センサ２６は赤外線
の透過パターンにより紙幣の位置及び通過を検出するセ
ンサであり、下部フレーム３０に固定された発光ダイオ
ード２６aと、上部フレーム３１に固定された受光トラ
ンジスタ２６bとを備えている。押圧ローラ２７は紙幣
又はクーポン券を磁気センサ２０に対して押圧する。搬
送ベルト１５が捲回された駆動プーリ１７は下部フレー
ム３０に取り付けられ、駆動プーリ１７に対向して上部
フレーム３１に紙幣又はクーポン券を駆動ベルト１５に
対して押圧するローラ３２、３３が回転可能に取り付け
られる。光学センサ２５の後部には紙幣又はクーポン券
の通過を検出するレバー３４が軸３５に回転可能に取り
付けられる。レバー３４の一端はばね３６により付勢さ
れ、レバー３４の他端は搬送通路１３内に突出する。紙
幣又はクーポン券が搬送通路１３を通過すると、レバー
３４がばね３６の弾力に抗して時計方向に回転され、紙
幣等の通過を許容する。このとき、レバー３４の回転は
ホトカップラを有するレバーセンサ３７により検出され
る。
【００１２】図３に示すように、磁気センサ２０、光学
センサ２１〜２６及びレバーセンサ３７は増幅回路３９
を介して判別搬送制御回路４０の対応する入力端子に接
続され、判別搬送制御回路４０の対応する出力端子には
搬送装置１６のモータ制御回路４１及び金種信号／バー
コード信号出力回路４３に接続される。モータ制御回路
４１は搬送モータ４２を駆動制御する出力を発生する。
【００１３】詳細には図示しないが、ワンチップマイク
ロコンピュータ又はディスクイリート回路により構成さ
れた判別搬送制御回路４０は、磁気センサ２０の出力を
受信して紙幣の所定の位置に印刷されたインキの磁気成
分を検出する磁気検出回路と、所定の磁気パターンを記
憶した磁気パターン記憶回路と、光学センサ２４、２５
の出力を受信して紙葉に付されたバーコードを検出する
光学検出回路と、所定のバーコードパターンを記憶した
バーコード記憶回路とを備えている。光学検出回路は、
光学センサ２４、２５により読み出した紙葉のバーコー
ドをバーコード記憶回路に記憶されたバーコードパター
ンと比較してこれらが一致したときに搬送装置１６のモ
ータ制御回路４１に出力を送出し、モータ制御回路４１
は搬送モータ４２に駆動信号を付与して紙幣を排出口１
４に移動する。
【００１４】前記の構成において、判別搬送制御回路４
０は図４のフローチャートに示す動作シーケンスに従っ
て作動される。
【００１５】ステップ５０のスタートからステップ５１
に進み、判別搬送制御回路４０は、光学センサ２１〜２
３のいずれかがオンしたか否か判断する。いずれもオフ
状態の場合は、ステップ５１に保留される。紙幣又はク
ーポン券等の紙葉が挿入口１２に投入されたとき、光学
センサ２１〜２３のいずれかがこの挿入を検出して、オ
ンしたときにステップ５２において判別搬送制御回路４
０はモータ制御回路４１に出力を送出して搬送モータ４
２を正転する。これにより、搬送装置１６の駆動プーリ
１７が図１において時計方向に回転して、搬送ベルト１
５が駆動され、紙葉が磁気センサ２０に向かって移動さ
れる。次に、ステップ５３において、磁気センサ２０は
紙葉に磁気成分が存在するか否か判断する。紙葉に磁気
成分が存在すると、紙幣が挿入口に投入されたと判断し
てステップ５４において判別搬送制御回路４０は磁気セ
ンサ２０の信号を受信する。紙幣から得られる磁性体の
信号は複数の信号として判別搬送制御回路４０内に設け
られたエンコーダ内に記録される。ステップ５５では判
別搬送制御回路４０が磁性体信号に起因するエンコーダ
パルスを受信したか否か判断し、１個のエンコーダパル
スを検出する毎に、パルスカウントに１を加算する（ス
テップ５６）。ステップ５７において所定数の磁気信号
パルスを計数することによりパルスカウントを完了した
か否か判断する。所定数の計数値に満たないときはステ
ップ５４に戻り、所定数の計数値を計数したときはステ
ップ５８において搬送モータ４２の作動を停止する。続
いて、判別搬送制御回路４０は受信した磁気検出信号が
磁気パターン記憶回路内に記憶された所定の磁気パター
ンと一致するか否か判断することにより、投入された紙
幣が真正か否か判断（ステップ５９）し、真正な紙幣の
場合は磁気検出信号からいくらの金額の紙幣であるかを
判定し、その結果金種信号を表示部４３に表示する。ス
テップ５９において磁気検出信号に基づいて紙幣の真贋
を判定する場合に、光学センサ２１〜２３から得られる
紙幣の光学的透過パターンにより真贋を判定する手段を
追加してもよい。
【００１６】その後、ステップ６１において判別搬送制
御回路４０は紙幣が所定の金種であるか否かを判断し、
所定の金種であるときはステップ６２において搬送モー
タ４２を更に正転する。紙幣がレバー３４を通過する
と、レバーセンサ３７がレバー３４の回転を検出し、ス
テップ６３においてレバーセンサ３７がオフとなる。紙
幣がレバー３４を完全に通過した後、判別搬送制御回路
４０は搬送モータ３２の作動を停止してステップ６４か
ら７５に進む。
【００１７】ステップ５９において投入された紙幣が真
正な紙幣でないとき又はステップ６１において紙幣が所
定の金種でないとき、ステップ７３に進み判別搬送制御
回路４０は搬送モータ４２を逆転して紙幣を挿入口１２
に戻し、ステップ７４において光学センサ２１〜２３が
オフに切り換えられたときにステップ６４において搬送
モータ４２の作動を停止した後、ステップ７５に進む。
【００１８】ステップ５３において、投入された紙葉か
ら磁性成分が検出されないとき、判別搬送制御回路４０
は紙葉をクーポン券と判断してステップ６５において光
学センサ２４又は２５からバーコードデータを受信す
る。ステップ６６では判別搬送制御回路４０がバーコー
ドに起因するエンコーダパルスを受信したか否か判断
し、１個のエンコーダパルスを検出する毎に、パルスカ
ウントに１を加算する（ステップ６７）。ステップ６８
において所定数のバーコードパルスを計数することによ
りパルスカウントを完了したか否か判断する。所定数の
計数値に満たないときはステップ６５に戻り、所定数の
計数値を計数したときはステップ６９において搬送モー
タ４２の作動を停止する。続いて、判別搬送制御回路４
０は受信したバーコードパルスから投入された紙葉が真
正か否か判断（ステップ７０）し、真正なクーポン券の
場合はバーコードデータを表示部４３に表示する（ステ
ップ７１）。次に、判別搬送制御回路４０は光学センサ
２１〜２３から紙葉の透過パターンを検出して、ステッ
プ７２において所定のクーポン券か否か判断し、所定の
クーポン券と判断したときはステップ６２に進む。ステ
ップ７０においてバーコードが真正でないとき又はステ
ップ７２において所定のクーポン券でないと判断したと
きはステップ７３に進む。
【００１９】上記のように、この発明では紙幣及びバー
コード付紙葉のいずれでも鑑別することが可能となる。
【００２０】この発明の実施態様は前記の実施例に限定
されず、更に変更が可能である。例えば、本実施例では
磁気センサ２０により検出した磁気信号により所定の紙
幣であるか否かを検出した後、バーコードの有無を検出
する例を示したが、逆にバーコードの有無を最初に検出
した後、磁気センサ２０により検出した磁気信号により
紙幣を鑑別してもよい。
【００２１】前記の実施例では紙幣及びクーポン券のい
ずれも同一のスタッカ１１内に収容する構成を示すが、
排出口１４において分配装置により異なる搬送通路に紙
幣とクーポン券とを振り分けて、紙幣とクーポン券とを
異なるスタッカに収容するように構成してもよい。

【発明の効果】前記のように、この発明では紙幣及びバ
ーコードを付した紙葉のいずれでも真贋を判定すること
が可能となる。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】挿入口から投入される紙幣を搬送通路に沿
    って挿入口から排出口に移動する搬送装置と、搬送通路
    に隣接して配置された磁気センサ及び光学センサと、磁
    気センサ及び光学センサに接続されかつ搬送装置へ駆動
    出力を送出する判別搬送制御回路とを備えた紙幣鑑別装
    置において、 判別搬送制御回路は、磁気センサの出力を受信して紙幣
    の磁気成分を検出する磁気検出回路と、光学センサの出
    力を受信して紙葉上のバーコードを検出する光学検出回
    路と、所定のバーコードパターンを記憶したバーコード
    記憶回路とを備え、光学検出回路は、光学センサにより
    読み出した紙葉のバーコードをバーコード記憶回路に記
    憶されたバーコードパターンと比較してこれらが一致し
    たときに搬送装置に駆動信号を付与して紙幣を排出口に
    移動することを特徴とするバーコードセンサ付紙幣鑑別
    装置。
  2. 【請求項２】判別搬送制御回路は磁気センサにより検出
    した磁気信号により紙幣が所定の紙幣であるか否かを検
    出した後、バーコードの有無を検出する「請求項１」に
    記載のバーコードセンサ付紙幣鑑別装置。
