Abstract
簡単にかつ確実に接合する方法を提供する。 【構成】 被接合体との接合面4,5を備える軟質のゴ
ムまたは合成樹脂からなるバインダー1の各接合面4,
5に複数の突条6が形成されている。突条6が水平にな
るようにバインダー1を位置させた状態で各接合面4,
5、に瞬間接着剤を塗布し、両被接合体の接合端面をバ
インダー1の接合面4,5に圧着する。
Description
品その他の弾性体等からなる被接合体をゴムまたは合成
樹脂からなる中間バインダーと瞬間接着剤を用いて短時
間に接着する弾性体等の簡易接合方法およびこの方法に
使用するバインダーに関する。
かじめ埋入設置して水の侵入を防止する加硫ゴム製止水
板は一般に長尺であるため、複数の止水板を接合して1
枚の止水板としている。
ー金型を使用する焼付接合法が広く用いられている。こ
の方法においては、まず止水板の接合端部を厚み方向に
おいて斜めに切断し、各接合端面にバフ掛けまたはグラ
インダ掛等の表面処理を施した後、接合端面にゴム糊を
塗布し5〜10分間乾燥させる。次いで未加硫ゴムから
なるシートを各接合端面を覆うようにしてそれぞれ貼付
けた後図5に示すようなヒーター金型aを使用して2枚
の止水板を焼付接合する。すなわち、このヒーター金型
aは上下の金型b、cの上下にヒーターd、eを重ね合
せた構造のもので、接合すべき止水板f、gの接合端面
を覆う未加硫ゴムシートどうしが相接するようにして止
水板f、gを上下の金型b、c間にはさみ、プレスhを
下動して止水板f、gを加圧しながら140℃で15〜
25分間加熱することにより各未加硫ゴムシートを加硫
し、相互に焼付接合するものである。
使用する焼付接合法は、上述のとおり、バフ掛け等の表
面処理工程、接合端面へのゴム糊塗布工程、未加硫ゴム
シート貼付工程、ヒーター金型によるプレス加硫工程等
多工程にわたり操作が繁雑なために接合作業に熟練を要
し、また接合完成までに時間がかかる。特に工事現場で
止水板の接合を行う場合は工事現場専用のヒーター金型
を使用する必要があるが、この金型は重く運搬が大変で
あり、またその操作は特に複雑で熟練を要するため専門
の技術者でなければ接合作業を行うことができない、と
いう問題点があった。
も考えられるが、止水板のように長尺で大型の加硫ゴム
製品は、接合面が比較的に大きく、均一な切断面を得る
ことができない上に、接合面に塗布した瞬間接着剤は急
速に下方に流動してしまうので、止水板を実際に接合し
ようとする時点で接合面全面にわたって充分な量の瞬間
接着剤が塗布されておらず、接合面の上部は乾いてしま
っていて、このため完全な接着が行われない。したがっ
て瞬間接着剤によるこの種加硫ゴム製品の接合は行われ
ていないのが現状である。
解するためになされたものであって、従来のように重く
操作が複雑なヒーター金型を使わず、瞬間接着剤を使用
する方法であって完全な接着が可能な止水板等加硫ゴム
製品その他の弾性体等からなる被接合体の簡易接合方法
およびその方法に使用するバインダーを提供しようとす
るものである。
明の弾性体等の接合方法は、接合すべき一方の被接合体
との接合面および接合すべき他方の被接合体との接合面
とを備え、各接合面にはその一側から他側に向けて延長
する突条が形成された軟質のゴムまたは合成樹脂からな
るバインダーを用意し、該突条が水平になるように該バ
インダーを位置させた状態で各接合面にそれぞれ瞬間接
着剤を塗布した後接合すべき両被接合体の各接合端面を
該バインダーの各接合面に圧着することを特徴とする。

方向に形成された他の突条を備えている。

ので、この突条が水平になるようにバインダーを位置さ
せた状態で各接合面に瞬間接着剤を塗布すると、瞬間接
着剤は突条によって下方に流動することが阻止され、突
条の上側のバインダー接合面に貯留されるので、止水板
等の被接合体を接合させる時点でバインダーの各接合面
ほぼ全面にわたって充分な量の瞬間接着剤が塗布されて
おり、完全な接着が達成される。またバインダーは軟質
のゴムまたは合成樹脂からなるものであるので、接合す
べき両被接合体の各接合端面をバインダーの各接合面に
圧着することによりバインダーの突条は簡単につぶれバ
インダーの接合面は平坦となり、被接合体の接合端面と
バインダーの接合面とが密着して強固に接合される。

に適用した実施例を示すもので、図1(a)はバインダ
ーの1例を示す正面図、図1(b)はその側面図、図2
はバインダーを用いて2つの止水材を接合する方法を示
す斜視図、図3は突条の断面形状の各例を示す図であ
る。
するために使用するバインダー1は、図1に示すよう
に、図2に示す止水材2、3の断面形状と合致する断面
形状を有し、止水板の接合端面に圧着されたとき該接合
端面になじみ易くかつ後述の突条が容易につぶれるよう
に、適度の弾性と柔軟性を有し比較的強度がありかつ止
水性を有する軟質ゴムまたは軟質合成樹脂から作る。こ
のような材料としては、JIS硬さ30〜65Hsのも
のが好適であり、たとえばNR系軟質ゴムで硬さ35〜
40Hs、引張り強さ180kg/cm2 〜270kg
/cm2 、伸び640%〜750%程度のもの、または
CR系の自然加硫ゴムで硬さ30〜35Hs(加硫後約
60Hs)、引張り強さ(加硫後)100kg/c
m2 、伸び600%(加硫後約350%)程度のものな
どが好適である。またバインダー1は厚さdが3〜20
mmのものが好適である。

て延長する複数本の突条6が形成されている。突条6の
断面形状は半円形、4角形等任意の形状を選択できる
が、図1(b)および図3(a)に示すようにおおむね
V形の断面形状または図3(b)に示すように一方側が
接合面に対し垂直で他方側の接合面に対し傾斜した3角
形の断面形状が、瞬間接着剤の下方への流動を有効に防
止するとともに突条の体積を最小限として止水板の接合
端面に圧着されたときに突条をもっともつぶれ易くする
ので特に好ましい。
場合にその接合端面をサンドペーパー、バフ等で荒らす
ことがしばしば行われているが、実験の結果、上記実施
のバインダー1に突条を設けるかわりにサンドペーパ
ー、バフ等で荒らしても、瞬間接着剤の乾く速度は表面
平滑な場合と変りなく、またバインダー1に突条のかわ
りに多数の点状の突起物を形成すると、瞬間接着剤は表
面平滑の場合よりも早く反応してしまい乾きが早くなっ
て、いずれも本発明の目的を達成することができないこ
とが判明した。
1〜0.5mm、各突条間のピッチは0.5〜2.0m
mの範囲である場合に充分満足しうる接着効果が得られ
ることが判明した。
一方向に延長して形成されているが、これに加えて、突
条6と交差する方向(直交する場合と斜交する場合双方
を含む)に他の突条(図示せず)を形成することによ
り、バインダー1の各接合面4、5に格子模様を形成す
るようにすれば瞬間接着剤の流動防止効果を一層高める
ことができる。
2、3を相互に接合する方法について説明する。
し、またバインダー1の突条6が水平になるようにバイ
ンダー1を位置させた状態で瞬間接着剤をバインダー1
の各接合面4、5に塗布する。瞬間接着剤としては東亜
合成化学株式会社製「アロン−α」(商標)、住友化学
株式会社製「シアノボンド」(商標)等市販の瞬間接着
剤を使用することができる。バインダー1の接合面4、
5に塗布された瞬間接着剤は、水平方向に配置された各
突条6がセキとして瞬間接着剤の流下を防止するので、
各突条6の上方の接合面4、5上に留まり直ちに乾くこ
とが防止される。次に接合すべき止水板2、3の各接合
端面2a、3aを止水板2、3間に配置されたバインダ
ー1の対向する接合面4、5に圧着すると、各突条6は
押しつぶされて接合面4、5は平坦となり、止水板2の
接合端面2aとバインダー1の接合面4、止水板3の接
合端面3aとバインダー1の接合面5とが、それぞれ相
互に密着し、強固な接着状態が得られる。
設けることにより接着力の向上効果を測定するために、
図4に示すように、縦50mm、横50mm、厚さ10
mmの1組の加硫ゴム板7、8を瞬間接着剤を各接合面
に塗布したバインダー9を介して接合した。バインダー
9としては各接合面に高さ0.3mm、ピッチ1.0m
mの水平方向の突条10本を形成した厚さ9mmのNR
系軟質ゴム製で硬さ38Hs、引張り強さ260kg/
cm2 、伸び720%のもの、および比較のために上記
突条が形成されていないほかは上記バインダーとまった
く同一のバインダーの2種類のバインダーを使用して実
験を行った。
ゴム板7、8をバインダー9の各接合面に接着した。瞬
間接着剤の固化後、接合した加硫ゴム板7、8の上部1
0および下部11からそれぞれテストピース12を切出
し、引張りテストにより接着強度を測定した。その結果
は次表のとおりである。
るものは接合面全体にわたって瞬間接着剤が均一に塗布
されているが、バインダーに突条がないものは瞬間接着
剤が下部に流れてしまい上部にほとんど残っていないた
めに上部の接着が極めて悪いことが判る。
適用されて好適であるが、これに限らず各種の弾性体ど
うしの接合および一方がゴム等の弾性体で他方が合成樹
脂等の非弾性体の場合の両者の接合にも適用することが
可能である。ただし非弾性体が鋼の場合は瞬間接着剤の
耐久性がなくなるので不適当である。
インダーの各接合面に突条が設けられているので、この
突条が水平になるようにバインダーを位置させた状態で
各接合面に瞬間接着剤を塗布すると、瞬間接着剤は突条
によって下方に流動することが阻止され、突条の上側の
バインダーの接合面に貯留されるので、止水板等の被接
合体を接合させる時点でバインダーの各接合面のほぼ全
面にわたって充分な量の瞬間接着剤が塗布されており、
完全な接着が達成される。またバインダーは軟質のゴム
または合成樹脂からなるものであるので、接合すべき両
被接合体の各接合端面をバインダーの各接合面に圧着す
ることによりバインダーの突条は簡単につぶれバインダ
ーの接合面は平坦となり、被接合体の接合端面とバイン
ダーの接合面とが密着して強固に接合される。したがっ
て、従来のように重く操作が複雑なヒーター金型を使わ
ず、瞬間接着剤を使用することにより極めて簡単にかつ
確実に止水板等の被接合体を接合することができる。

Claims (4)
- 【請求項1】 接合すべき一方の被接合体との接合面お
よび接合すべき他方の被接合体との接合面とを備え、各
接合面にはその一側から他側に向けて延長する突条が形
成された軟質のゴムまたは合成樹脂からなるバインダー
を用意し、該突条が水平になるように該バインダーを位
置させた状態で各接合面にそれぞれ瞬間接着剤を塗布し
た後接合すべき両被接合体の各接合端面を該バインダー
の各接合面に圧着することを特徴とする弾性体等の接合
方法。 - 【請求項2】 接合すべき一方の被接合体との接合面お
よび接合すべき他方の被接合体との接合面とを備え、各
接合面にはその一側から他側に向けて延長する突条が形
成された軟質のゴムまたは合成樹脂からなるバインダ
ー。 - 【請求項3】 該突条と交差する方向に形成された他の
突条を備えることを特徴とする請求項2記載のバインダ
ー。 - 【請求項4】 該突条は高さ0.1〜0.5mm、垂直
方向ピッチ0.5〜2.0mmで形成されていることを
特徴とする請求項2または3記載のバインダー。
