Description

【考案の詳細な説明】 (産業上の利用分野) 本考案は、超音波の振動エネルギーを利用して連続的に
袋体端部の封を行う封袋装置に関するものである。
(従来の技術) 一般に、生理用品やポケットテッシュ等の生産ラインに
おいては、折り畳み等の加工を終えベルト上を搬送され
てくる半製品に対し機械による一連の動作で樹脂シート
による包装を行っている。
この樹脂シートによる包装工程においては、連続的に流
れてくる半製品を帯状の樹脂シートで包んだ後、各製品
ごとに樹脂シートの端を溶着し同時に切断して半製品を
個別に包装するようにしている。そして、このような包
装工程においては、従来、第5図および第6図に示すよ
うな封袋装置が用いられている。
この封袋装置は、半製品1を包み込んだ帯状の樹脂シー
ト2の流れの途中に互いに対向した一対のベルト3およ
び4が設けられ、このベルト3および4の間で樹脂シー
ト2の溶着と切断が行われるようになっている。ベルト
3とベルト4には所定ピッチで押し当て部材5が配設し
てあり、ベルト3あるいは4の何れか一方の押し当て部
材5の表面には、第6図に示すようにニクロム線6が埋
設してある。そしてベルト3および4の側方には電極7
が設置され、押し当て部材5が電極7の側方を通過する
際にニクロム線に接続された端子8が電極7と接触して
ニクロム線6が通電するようになっている。これによ
り、上下の押し当て部材5,5に挟まれた樹脂シート2
が電極7の側方を通過したところでニクロム線6の熱に
よる溶着と切断が行われ、半製品1が樹脂シート2によ
って個別包装される。
(考案が解決しようとする課題) しかしながら、このような従来の封袋装置においては、
ニクロム線6によって樹脂シート2の溶着と切断を行う
ようにしているため、ニクロム線6の切れによる装置全
体の頻繁な停止を余儀なくされるという問題があった。
さらにニクロム線6による溶着と切断においては、加熱
と冷却のための時間を要するため、樹脂シート2を挟み
込むべくベルト3および4の長さを十分に確保しなけれ
ばならず、必然的に装置が大型化するという問題もあっ
た。
本考案の目的は、樹脂シートから成る袋体に対してニク
ロム線を使用することなく連続的に溶着と切断が行える
ようにして、稼動効率の向上とコンパクト化が可能な封
袋装置を提供することである。
(課題を解決するための手段) 本考案は、上述した課題を解決するための手段として、
切断刃の両側に接着刃を有する接着切断刃を回転軸に設
ける一方、該回転軸の軸方向に沿って超音波発信装置に
連係された超音波付与部材を設け、前記接着切断刃の先
端部の回転軌道に前記超音波付与部材の頂部を臨ませる
ようにしたものである。
(作用) このような構成としたことにより、次のようにして樹脂
シートの溶着と切断が行われるようになる。
半製品を包み込んだ樹脂シートが連続的に送られてくる
と、まず、回転軸を中心に回転する接着切断刃の先端部
が超音波付与部材の頂部に接近し、樹脂シートが接着切
断刃と超音波付与部材で挟まれるようになる。この瞬間
に超音波付与部材に伝達される超音波の振動エネルギー
により、接着切断刃の一対の接着刃で樹脂シートの溶着
が行われ、その接着部間が切断刃で切断される。そし
て、回転軸の回転により接着切断刃が再び超音波付与部
材に接近したところで樹脂シートの次の溶着と切断が行
われる。
(実施例) 以下、本考案の一実施例を第1図ないし第4図に基づい
て詳細に説明する。
符号9は、図示しない駆動装置に連係された回転軸であ
り、この回転軸9の外周部には軸方向に添わせて接着切
断刃10が突設されている。接着切断刃10は、第3図に示
すように切断刃11の両側に接着刃12,12が配置された構
成となっている。この実施例の場合、具体的には接着切
断刃10の基材13の先端に切込みが入れられ、この切込み
によって二又に別れた基材13の両端部が接着刃12とさ
れ、両接着刃12,12の間に別部材の切断刃11が挟み込ま
れている。そして、接着刃12の端面は長手方向(回転軸
9の軸方向)に亙って凹凸状に形成され、切断刃11の端
面は平に形成されている。
また、回転軸9の上方には周知の超音波発信装置14が設
置されている。超音波発信装置14はブラケット15に支持
され、ブラケット15は超音波発信装置14の高さを微調整
するための昇降装置16に支持されている。超音波発信装
置14には超音波付与部材17が連結され、この超音波付与
部材17の頂部は前記接着切断刃10の先端の回転軌道qに
臨まされている。超音波付与部材17は接着切断刃10と同
様に回転軸9の軸方向に沿って長く形成され、その頂部
は断面が円弧状に形成されている。そして、この超音波
付与部材17の頂部は、回転を続ける接着切断刃10の先端
が臨まされたところでその間に樹脂シート2を挟み、そ
こで樹脂シート2の所定位置の切断とその前後部分の溶
着を行うようになっている。切断刃11の端面部分は平に
形成され、接着刃12,12の端面部分は凹凸状に形成され
ているため、超音波付与部材17に接着切断刃10の先端が
最も接近したところで、樹脂シート2の所定位置は切断
刃11によって切断され、その両側部分は接着刃12,12に
よってミシン目状に溶着される。
また、回転軸9の前後には、第1図に示すように、各々
上下一対の搬入用ベルト18a,18bと搬出用のベルト19a,1
9aが設置されており、この搬入用のベルト18a,18bと搬
出用のベルト19a,19bの間には、三角ベルト20が設置さ
れている。この三角ベルト20はローラ21,22および23に
よって三点支持され、その適宜位置には接着切断刃10よ
りも一回り大きい開口部24が形成されている。開口部24
の移動と接着切断刃10の回転は、回転軸9の回転によっ
て接着切断刃10が上方に変位した際に、接着切断刃10の
先端部が開口部24から三角ベルト20の上方に突出するタ
イミングとなっている。なお、搬入用のベルト18aおよ
び18bからは、従来の場合と同様に、等ピッチpをおい
て帯状の樹脂シート2に包み込まれた半製品1が連続的
に搬送されてくるものとする。
以上の構成において、各装置が作動を開始すると、次の
ようにして半製品1が個別包装されていく。
樹脂シート2と半製品1が搬入用のベルト18a,18bから
三角ベルト20に受け渡され、樹脂シート2の端部が超音
波付与部材17の下方まで搬送されてくると、そこで端部
の溶着と切断が行なわれる。この際、接着切断刃10は、
第2図に示すように三角ベルト20の開口部24から上方に
突出し、先端部が超音波付与部材17の頂部に突き合わさ
れたところで、第4図(イ)に示すようにその間に樹脂シ
ート2を挟み込む。そしてこの瞬間、樹脂シート2に対
し超音波の振動エネルギーが付与され、樹脂シート2は
接着切断刃10の切断刃1部分で切断され、その両側の接
着刃12,12部分で瞬時のうちに溶着される。その後、樹
脂シート2と半製品1は三角ベルト20の移動に伴って前
進し、接着切断刃10は回転軸9の回転によって三角ベル
ト20の開口部24から抜け出し、第4図(ロ),(ハ),(ニ)に順
次示すように、その先端が軌道qを描いて移動してい
く。このあいだ半製品1は三角ベルト20と超音波付与部
材17の間にできた隙間を潜り抜けていく。このようにし
て三角ベルト20の移動と回転軸9の回転が進むと、第2
図に示すように接着切断刃10の先端部が再び開口部24か
ら上方に突出するようになる。そして接着切断刃10は、
第4図(ホ)に示すように樹脂シート2を漸次超音波付与
部材17との間に挟み込むようになる。接着切断刃10と超
音波付与部材17が樹脂シート2の所定位置を挟み込む
と、先と同様な動作によって瞬時に樹脂シート2の溶着
と切断を行う。樹脂シート2は先の動作によって先端側
を溶着されているため、先端側の半製品1は、この後の
溶着と切断の動作によって個別包装され、三角ベルト20
から搬出用ベルト19a,19bに受け渡される。以下、同様
にして半製品1の個別包装を連続的に行っていく。
尚、ここで説明した封袋装置は超音波付与部材17と接着
切断刃10によって樹脂シート2の溶着と切断を瞬時に行
えるため、処理速度を高めようとする場合には、回転軸
9の回転と各ベルトの速度を速くするだけで対処でき
る。また、他のサイズの半製品の包装を行う場合には、
開口部24の配設ピッチの異なる三角ベルトに取換え、回
転軸9の回転と各ベルトの速度を変えることによって対
処出来る。
(考案の効果) 以上で説明したように、本考案によれば、超音波付与部
材と接着切断刃の働きによって連続的に樹脂シートの溶
着と切断が行え、しかも、各溶着と切断は瞬時に行うこ
とが出来るようになるので従来のニクロム線を用いたも
のに比較して大幅に稼動効率が向上する。さらに、ニク
ロム線を用いたもののように加熱や冷却のための時間や
スペースを必要としないため、装置全体もコンパクト化
されるようになる。

    を回転軸に設ける一方、該回転軸の軸方向に沿って超音
