Claims (13)
- 1.Bacillus thuringiensis株全般から、B.thur ingien−sisのδ内毒素タンパク質をコードする遺伝子の選択されたサ ブセットの存在に関する予備スクリーニングを含む手段によって選別されるBa cillus thuringiensisの細菌単離物。
- 2.SPodoptera frugiperda、S.exigus、Plu tellaxylostella及びTrichoplusia niの中から 選択された有害昆虫に対して有効であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の単離 物。
- 3.亜種B.thuringiensis aizawaiに属することを特徴 とする請求項1に記載の単離物。
- 4.B.thuringiensis ABTS 1857の同定特性を有する ことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の単離物。
- 5.第1図に示したのと実質的に同じプラスミドプロフィールを有することを特 徴とする請求項1に記載の単離物。
- 6.遺伝子のサブセットがcryIA(a)、cryIA(b)、cryIC及 びcryIDを含み、cryIA(c)は含まないことを特徴とする請求項1に 記載の単離物。
- 7.請求項1に記載の単離物の生物学的に純粋な培養物。
- 8.単離物がB.thuringiensis ABTS 1857の同定特性 を有することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の培養物。
- 9.B.thruingiensis ABTS 1857またはその突然変異 体、和み換え体もしくは遺伝子操作された誘導体の生物学的に純粋な培養物。
- 10.標的害虫種に対して有効であるB.thuringiensisの変異体 を単離する方法であって、 (a)その存在または不在が標的害虫に対する毒性の決定要因である内毒素タン パク質をコードする遺伝子の組み合わせを同定し、 (b)B.thuringiensis株の中から前記遺伝子の組み合わせを有 する一連の変異体を単離し、かつ (c)前記一連の変異体をスクリーニングして好ましい単離物を得る ことを含む方法。
- 11.請求項1に記載の細菌単離物または該単離物から得られる内毒素を殺虫有 効量で、許容可能なキャリヤと共に含有する組成物。
- 12.被害区域に請求項1に記載の細菌単離物または該単離物から得られる内毒 素を殺虫有効量で適用することを含む有害昆虫防除方法。
- 13.ヌクレオチド配列 【配列があります】(配列各号:1) 及び該配列の、少なくとも1個の対応するB.thuringien−sis遺 伝子配列との特異的ハイブリダイゼーションに十分な長さを有する断片の中から 選択されたヌクレオチド配列。
