Claims (6)
- 1.ディジタルイメージシーケンスをエンコードする方法において、 その各フレームがピクセルの多数のブロックを有するような型式のディジタルビ デオ信号のフレームを擬似ランダムスキャンニングしてピクセルのそれらのブロ ックを得る段階、と ピクセルのブロックを係数のブロックに変換する段階、と 係数のブロックを可変語長でコーディングして、それによりコード化された係数 のグループを備える段階と、 量子化レベルを使用することによって、コード化された係数の各グループを個々 に量子化し、そして量子化マトリックスを使用することによって、各グループの 各コード化された係数を個々に量子化することをバッファの充満度によって制御 する段階、とを含むことを特徴とするエンコード方法。
- 2.請求の範囲第1項の規定のようにエンコードされたディジタルイメージシー ケンスをデコードする方法において、 エンコーディング量子化レベルを用いることによりコード化された係数の各グル ープを個々だ逆量子化し、そしてエンコーディング量子化マトリックスを逆に用 いることにより各グループの各コード化された係数を個々に逆量子化することを バッファの充満度によって制御する段階、と 可変語長をもってコード化された係数のグループをデコードし、それによってデ コードされた係数のブロックを備える段階、と デコードされた係数のブロックをピクセルのブロックに逆変換する段階、と エンコードされた時に用いられたのと同じ擬似ランダム順序でディジタルビデオ 信号のフレームにピクセルのブロックを挿入する段階、とを含むことを特徴とす る、デコード方法。
- 3.バッファの充満度の関数として、コード化された係数の各グループ個々に、 量子化レベルおよび逆量子化レベルをそれぞれ計算する段階を、さらに含むよう な、請求の範囲第1項または第2項記載の方法。
- 4.ピクセル値のブロックとピクセル差異値のブロックとをそれぞれ設け、それ によってピクセルのブロックに関するモーションベクトル計算/評価とモーショ ン補償とを用いる段階、と ピクセルの各ブロックに関して、どの種類のコーディング/デコーディング(イ ントラフレーム、モーション補償されたインターフレーム)が実行されるべきか を決めるためにブロックエラー(2次エラーおよび/または平均絶対エラー)を 計算する段階、とをさらに含むような、請求の範囲第1項、第2項または第3項 記載の方法。
- 5.ディジタルイメージシーケンスをエンコードするための装置において、 その各フレームがピクセルの多数のブロックを有するような型の圧縮されたディ ジタルビデオ信号を備えるための装置、と ピクセルのブロックを得るために擬似ランダム順序でフレームを走査するための 装置、と モーションベクトルを評価するための装置およびブロックエラーを計算するため の装置、とブロックエラー計算の結果に従ってピクセル値のイントラフレームブ ロックを、またはピクセル差異値のモーション補償されたインターフレームブロ ックを、備えるための装置およびイントラ/インター判定信号を備えるための装 置、と DCTによって、ピクセル値およびピクセル差異値それぞれのブロックを係数の ブロックに変換するための装置、と 可変語長をもってハフマンコーダー内において係数およびモーションベクトルの ブロックをコーディングし、それによってコード化された係数のグループを備え るための装置、と 量子化レベルを用いることにより、コード化された係数の各グループ個々に量子 化するための装置および量子化マトリックスを用いることにより、グループの各 コード化された係数を個々に量子化するための装置、それら装置はバッファの充 満度によって制御される、とを有することを特徴とするエンコード用装置。
- 6.ディジタルイメージシーケンスをデコードするための装置において、 エンコード量子化レベルを用いることにより、ピクセルのブロックに属するコー ド化された係数のグループを個々に逆量子化するための装置およびエンコード量 子化マトリックスを逆使用することにより、各グループの各コード化された係数 を逆量子化するための装置、それら装置はバッファの充満度によって制御される 、と 可変語長をもってハフマツデコーダー内において、コード化された係数とモーシ ョンベクトルのグループをデコードし、それによりデコードされた係数のブロッ クを備えるための装置、と 逆DCTによって、デコードされた係数のブロックを、ピクセル値およびピクセ ル差異値それぞれに変換するための装置、と イントラ/インター判定信号に従って、ピクセル値のイントラフレームブロック およびピクセル差異値のモーション補償されたインターフレームブロックそれぞ れからピクセルのブロックを発生させ、それによりモーションベクトルを評価す るための装置、と 擬似ランダム順序で、ディジタルビデオ信号のフレーム内にピクセルのブロック を挿入するための装置、とを有することを特徴とするデコード装置。
