Abstract
Description
Claims (23)
- 1.荷電粒子を媒体を通して移動させる装置であって:ポリマー物質により形成 される、限定された境界を有する移動領域; 該移動領域に保持される媒体であって、移動する該荷電粒子とは異なる物質を含 み、移動する該荷電分子に対する摩擦抵抗を提供し得る、媒体;および 複数の2つより多い電界を該移動領域に提供する手段であって、該電界は該荷電 分子を該媒体を通して、および制御により該移動領域に沿って1つの電界から別 の電界へ移動させるのに十分な強度を有する手段、を備えた装置。
- 2.前記複数の電界を提供する手段が、前記媒体に対して前記移動領域上の多数 の部位に形成される電極であり、そして1ミクロンと10センチメートルの間の 距離だけ離れている、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 3.前記複数の電界を提供する手段が、前記媒体に対して静止し、そして前記移 動領域の外部にあり、かつ、該移動領域が該複数の電界を提供する手段に対して 移動され得る、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 4.前記移動領域が、実質的に表面電荷を有しない硬質、非孔性、および非導電 性ポリマーにより形成される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 5.前記移動領域が、ポリメチルメタクリレート、ポリカーボネート、ポリエチ レンテレフタレート、ポリスチレン、およびスチレンコポリマーよりなる群から 選択されるポリマーにより形成される、請求項4に記載の装置。
- 6.前記移動領域が、間に開口部を有する2つの対向するポリマーシートにより 形成され、該開口部が前記媒体、および該開口部の長さに沿って2つより多い電 界を提供する手段を含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 7.前記複数の電界を提供する手段が、時間および位置により変動され得、これ により該複数の電界内の前記媒体の領域に複数の異なる電圧が印加される、請求 項1に記載の装置。
- 8.前記媒体が、前記移動領域の分岐したトレンチに含有される、請求項1に記 載の装置。
- 9.前記媒体がゲルの形状である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 10.前記ゲルが架橋性ポリアクリルアミドゲルである、請求項9に記載の装置 。
- 11.前記媒体が液体の形状である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 12.前記液体が、ポリマー溶液、界面活性ミセル溶液、および多孔性または固 形の形状を有する充填粒子を含有する懸濁液からなる群から選択される液体であ る、請求項11に記載の装置。
- 13.荷電粒子を媒体を通して移動させる方法であって、限定された境界を有し 、そして実質的に表面電荷を有しない硬質、非孔性、および非導電性ポリマー、 およびその内部の媒体により形成される移動領域に該荷電粒子を配置する工程で あって、該媒体は該荷電粒子とは異なる粒子により形成され、そして該媒体は該 媒体を通って移動する該荷電粒子に対する摩擦抵抗を提供する、工程; 電圧プロフィールを提供するために、様々な電圧を有する前記移動領域に沿って 配置される電極を同時に活性化することにより、該媒体の特定の方向に沿って電 圧プロフィールを生成する工程;および 該荷電粒子が、該電圧プロフィールにより生成される力に反応して該媒体を通っ て移動するように、連続して電圧プロフィールを生成する工程、を包含する方法 。
- 14.請求項13に記載の、荷電粒子を媒体を通して移動させる方法であって、 時間により制御される方法で前記移動領域に沿って配置される電極を順次活性化 することにより、該媒体の特定の方向に沿って移動電界を生成する工程;および 該荷電粒子を、該媒体を通る波に反応して移動させるために連続して該波を生成 する工程、を包含する方法。
- 15.電界が前記媒体の異なる領域に同時に印加される、請求項13に記載の方 法。
- 16.前記媒体内で移動するとき互いに反応する粒子を提供する工程をさらに包 含する、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 17.前記粒子が互いに反応してポリマーを合成する、請求項16に記載の方法 。
- 18.前記粒子が、ヌクレオチドおよびアミノ酸よりなる群から選択される、請 求項17に記載の方法。
- 19.前記粒子が互いに反応して標識粒子を生成する、請求項16に記載の方法 。
- 20.前記標識粒子が、抗体、染料、蛍光標識、放射線標識、および酵素よりな る群から選択される標識により標識される、請求項19に記載の方法。
- 21.前記媒体が前記移動領域のトレンチ内に位置する、請求項13に記載の方 法。
- 22.前記トレンチが分岐され、そして前記粒子のいくつかを該トレンチのブラ ンチに移動させるために、前記電界が変動する、請求項21に記載の方法。
- 23.前記媒体が互いに接続した多数のトレンチに位置し、そして粒子が他のト レンチの粒子と反応するように粒子を1つのトレンチから他のトレンチヘ移動さ せるために、前記電界が変動する、請求項21に記載の方法。
