Description
産業上の利用分野
本発明は、記録再生装置、例えばVTR、ビデ
オデイスク等の映像信号や情報信号を記録再生す
る装置に適用できるもので、記録している情報を
再生する時のトラツキング性能を向上させる方式
を与えるものである。 従来例の構成とその問題点 近年、VTRに代表される磁気記録再生装置は
著しい進歩をとげ、記録密度の向上、狭トラツク
化が進んできている。特に狭トラツク化が進むと
次のような問題がある。すなわち、回転ヘツドを
用いて、磁気テープ上に記録するトラツク軌跡
が、完全な直線にならず、曲がつてしまうという
問題が発生する。これは、機械的誤差及び外乱に
よるものであり、特に、記録した装置と再生する
装置が異なる場合、発生するトラツク曲りが異な
るため、同じテープフオーマツトであつても互換
性が難かしくなる。 このため、近年提案されているフオーマツト
は、記録すべき映像信号と重畳して、トラツキン
グ制御用のパイロツト信号を同一の磁気ヘツドで
テープ上に記録し、再生時にも、そのパイロツト
信号を用いて、トラツキング制御を行なうもので
ある。パイロツト信号を用いることにより、
VHS方式等で用いられている従来のコントロー
ル信号に比べて、より高度のトラツキング、すな
わち、トラツク曲りに追従することが可能であ
る。 まず、パイロツト信号を用いたトラツキングエ
ラー信号の作成方法について説明する。パイロツ
ト信号を用いたトラツキングエラー信号の作成方
法は、使用するパイロツト信号が１種類のものか
ら４種類のものまで種々の方式が提案されている
が、いずれの方式においても得られるトラツキン
グエラー信号は同じ形態になるので、本発明は
種々のトラツキングエラー信号を作成方法に適用
できる。ここでは４種類のパイロツト信号を用い
た４周波パイロツト信号法を例にとり説明する。 第１図において、A1，B1，A2，B2，……はＡ
ヘツド及びＢヘツドで磁気テープ上に記録された
各記録トラツクである。矢印ａは回転ヘツドの走
査方向を示している。各記録トラツクには、映像
信号と共に1〜4で示す各パイロツト信号が１フ
イールド毎に順次記録されている。パイロツト信
号の記録順序は1，2，3，4の順で循環し、4
の次は1が記録される。また各１フイールド期間
内ではパイロツト信号は種類を固定されて記録さ
れる。パイロツト信号の周波数は、例えば表１に
示す値に設定される。なお、表１においてはHは
映像信号における水平同期信号の周波数を示し、
オデイスク等の映像信号や情報信号を記録再生す
る装置に適用できるもので、記録している情報を
再生する時のトラツキング性能を向上させる方式
を与えるものである。 従来例の構成とその問題点 近年、VTRに代表される磁気記録再生装置は
著しい進歩をとげ、記録密度の向上、狭トラツク
化が進んできている。特に狭トラツク化が進むと
次のような問題がある。すなわち、回転ヘツドを
用いて、磁気テープ上に記録するトラツク軌跡
が、完全な直線にならず、曲がつてしまうという
問題が発生する。これは、機械的誤差及び外乱に
よるものであり、特に、記録した装置と再生する
装置が異なる場合、発生するトラツク曲りが異な
るため、同じテープフオーマツトであつても互換
性が難かしくなる。 このため、近年提案されているフオーマツト
は、記録すべき映像信号と重畳して、トラツキン
グ制御用のパイロツト信号を同一の磁気ヘツドで
テープ上に記録し、再生時にも、そのパイロツト
信号を用いて、トラツキング制御を行なうもので
ある。パイロツト信号を用いることにより、
VHS方式等で用いられている従来のコントロー
ル信号に比べて、より高度のトラツキング、すな
わち、トラツク曲りに追従することが可能であ
る。 まず、パイロツト信号を用いたトラツキングエ
ラー信号の作成方法について説明する。パイロツ
ト信号を用いたトラツキングエラー信号の作成方
法は、使用するパイロツト信号が１種類のものか
ら４種類のものまで種々の方式が提案されている
が、いずれの方式においても得られるトラツキン
グエラー信号は同じ形態になるので、本発明は
種々のトラツキングエラー信号を作成方法に適用

Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 １ 記録媒体上に情報信号と共に記録されている
トラツキング制御用のパイロツト信号を、再生ヘ
ツドにより再生してトラツキング誤差信号を得
て、前記トラツキング誤差信号と一定期間前のト
ラツキング誤差信号記憶値に基づく信号とを比較
する比較手段と、 前記比較手段の出力から前記一定期間前のトラ
ツキング誤差信号記憶値に基づく信号を微小修正
する修正手段と、 前記修正手段により微小修正した値を前記一定
期間遅延する遅延手段と、 前記遅延手段内における信号の振幅を検出する
振幅検出手段と、 前記遅延手段の出力をDA変換する手段と、 前記DA変換手段の後段に配され、前記振幅検
出手段の出力に応じてその減衰量を変化させら
れ、前記比較手段へ印加される前記一定期間前の
トラツキング誤差信号記憶値に基づく信号を出力
する減衰手段と、 前記再生ヘツドを搭載し、前記減衰手段の出力
で駆動される電気−機械変換素子 を具備することを特徴とするトラツキング制御方
式。 ２ 任意の再生速度において、記録軌跡に概略沿
つて再生ヘツドを操作できるように電気−機械変
換素子を駆動するためのプリセツト信号を発生す
るプリセツト信号発生手段と、前記プリセツト信
号発生手段の出力と減衰手段の出力を加算する加
算手段を有し、前記加算手段の出力により前記電
気−機械変換素子を駆動する特許請求の範囲第１
項記載のトラツキング制御方式。
