Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a head position control device whose loop gain is high, by constituting it so that a track shift exceeding the perturbation width is detected by an envelope of a reproducing RF signal. CONSTITUTION:Error voltage obtained from an adding circuit 24 is added with not only error voltage obtained from synchronizing detection but also a perturbation signal by an adding circuit 13, is amplified by a bimorph driving circuit 14, and drives bimorphs 4a, 4b. As a result, even if a track shift exceeds the perturbation width, tracking error voltage being proportional to the extent of shift is obtained. Also, the loop gain can be varied depending on whether the track shift has exceeded the perturbation width or not, therefore, for instance, in case when the track shift is large, it is also possible to corrent the track shift swiftly.
