Description

【考案の詳細な説明】 【産業上の利用分野】
本考案は例えば宣伝・広告用として屋外で用い
られる大型の表示器に関するものであり、詳細に
は文字単位でユニツト構造とされ使用時には所定
数を縦横列に接続する構成としたものに係る。
【従来の技術】
従来のこの種の表示器ユニツト２０は第４図に
示すようなものであり、表示面２１は硬質の金属
或いは樹脂部材に例えば24×24のマトリツクス状
に表示窓２１ａを設け、該表示面２１の背面側に
配設されプリント回路基板などにより形成される
発光体ホルダ板２２に取付けられたLEDなどの
発光体（図示せず）が前記表示窓２１ａに望むよ
うに表示ドツトとするもので、更に背面にはこの
表示器ユニツト２０に文字コードとして送られて
くる信号を対応する字形に変換する駆動回路板２
３が設けられている。また、この表示器ユニツト
２０は屋外で使用される場合が多いので防水コネ
クタ２４ａが取付けられた防水ケース２４に収納
され、前記表示窓２１ａも例えば窓ガラスを取付
けるなどして密閉され、全体が完全な防水構造と
されるものである。
【考案が解決しようとする問題点】
しかしながら、前記した従来の構造の表示ユニ
ツト２０は全体が剛構造とされたために、 重量と容積が大きく輸送、保管に難を生ずる
と云う問題点。 設置が前記した重量などの為に取付枠など必
要とする大掛りなものとなり恒設的となり、例
えば催事に応じて設営するなどの機動性に劣る
ものとなる問題点。 前記恒設的と成ることは、例えば風害などに
対処が要求されるものとなり、前記取付枠など
が極めて高価なものとなると云う問題点。 前記した重量が過大となる点、及び強靱な取
付枠などを要する点は表示ユニツトの形状を大
形化するほどに顕著なものとなり、大形化が不
可能で最大限90×90cmが限界であり、この理由
により屋外に設けたときに文字が読み難く訴求
力に欠けると云う問題点。 など数々の問題点を生ずるものであつた。
【問題点を解決するための手段】
本考案は前記した従来の問題点を解決するため
の具体的手段として、一面の表示面に発光体によ
る所定の数の表示ドツトがマトリツクス状に配設
されて成る大型表示器ユニツトにおいて、前記表
示ドツトはプリント回路基板に取付けられた一個
以上のLEDとされ、前記表示ドツトは樹脂製の
可撓性シート状部材からなる表示面に前記プリン
ト回路基板よりもも小さい寸法として設けられた
開口部を背面から閉塞し、前記表示面と樹脂製の
可撓性部材からなる背面シートとを接着すること
で挟着されていることを特徴とするシート状とし
た大型表示器ユニツトを提供することで、柔構造
とし且つ軽量化することで前記従来の問題点を全
て解決するものである。
【実施例】
つぎに、本考案を図に示す一実施例に基づいて
詳細に説明する。 第１図に符号１で示すものは本考案のシート状
とした大型表示器ユニツト（以下に表示器ユニツ
トと略す）であり、この表示器ユニツト１の表示
面２には従来例のものと同様に表示ドツト３がマ
トリツクス状に配設されているもので、例えば要
求される表示の内容により18×18ドツト、或いは
24×24ドツトなどの組合せが適宜に選択されるも
のであり、表示を行うときには前記表示ドツト３
の適宜の位置のものを選択して点灯させ、例えば
第２図に漢字“珈”の例で示すように文字形など
を表示するもので通常には表示器ユニツト１の一
面で一文字を表示するようにされる。 この表示ユニツト１を更に詳細に示すものが第
３図であり、表示面２は例えばシート状の可撓性
に富む樹脂部材で略正方形に形成され、前記表示
ドツト３の位置には開口部２ａが設けられると共
に背面側には接着剤が塗布されている。 前記表示ドツト３はプリント回路基板などによ
る基板３ａが前記表示面２の開口部２ａよりも大
きい寸法で設けられ、該基板３ａに任意の数の
LEDなどの発光体３ｂが取付けられることで形
成されるもので、例えば24×24ドツトの表示ユニ
ツト１であれば、576個の表示ドツト３が用意さ
れ、夫々の表示ドツト３は表示ユニツト１のダイ
ナミツク、スタチツクなど駆動方法に応じた配線
方法でリード線４で接続されるものとなる。 以上に説明した表示面２と表示ドツト３とは前
記開口部２ａ背面側から閉塞するように接着さ
れ、更に背面から表示面２と同じ部材で略同寸法
に形成された背面シート５が前記表示ドツト３お
よびリード線４を挟むように接着されて、本考案
の表示器ユニツト１は完成される。 以上の実施に当つては種々の変更が可能であ
り、例えば前記表示ドツト３の基板３ａは硬質、
軟質いずれのプリント回路基板を使用することも
可能であり、また前記表示面２、表示ドツト３、
背面シート５の夫々の接着は前記したように接着
剤により行つても良く或いは高周波溶着などの手
段によつても良いものである。更に云えば前記表
示ドツト３に配設される発光体３ｂに例えば赤色
と緑色のものを切替可能となるように配線し配設
しておくことで赤、黄、緑の三色が表示可能な表
示器ユニツト１とすることも可能である。 この様に形成された表示器ユニツト１は前記表
示面２と背面シート５とが共に可撓性の部材で形
成されていることで全体が可撓性であり、且つ前
記表示面２と背面シート５夫々がシート状とされ
ていることで薄形軽量である。また前記表示ドツ
ト３は前記表示面２と背面シート５とに挟持接着
されることで防水性も十分なものとなる。これら
の条件に照し合わせて考案者が行つた試作の結果
では従来例のものの二倍以上のの表示面積を持つ
150×150cmのものを形成することも極めて容易で
あつた。 尚、前記表示器ユニツト１には従来例で説明し
たのと同様に防水コネクタ或いは駆動回路などを
取付けることは自由である。
【考案の効果】
以上に説明したように、本考案により表示面を
シート状としたことで、 重量が軽量化され、且つ折畳み或いはロール
状に巻取が可能となり輸送、保管が極めて容易
となり、 上記軽量化されたことにより、設置が例えば
垂れ幕と同程度の簡易な支持方法で十分なもの
となり催事などに応じた臨時的な設置、或いは
台風など非常時の速やかな撤収が容易な安価で
機動性に富むものとし、 遠方からの読取りも可能とする大型化も容易
として訴求力を向上させ、 以て、この種の表示器ユニツトの用途を広くし
て実用性を向上させるという優れた効果を奏する
ものである。
【図面の簡単な説明】
第１図は本考案に係るシート状とした大型表示
器ユニツトの一実施例を示す正面図、第２図は本
考案の表示器ユニツトで文字表示を行つたときの
説明図、第３図は同じ実施例の要部を分解して示
す斜視図、第４図は従来例を分解して示す斜視図
である。 １……表示器ユニツト、２……表示面、３……
表示ドツト、３ａ……基板、３ｂ……発光体、４
……リード線、５……背面シート。

Claims (1)

  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 (1) 一面の表示面に発光体による所定の数の表示
    ドツトがマトリツクス状に配置されて成る大型
    表示器ユニツトにおいて、前記表示ドツトはプ
    リント回路基板に取付けられた一個以上の
    LEDとされ、前記表示ドツトは樹脂製の可撓
    性シート状部材からなる表示面に前記プリント
    回路基板よりもも小さい寸法として設けられた
    開口部を背面から閉塞し、前記表示面と樹脂製
    の可撓性部材からなる背面シートとを接着する
    ことで挟着されていることを特徴とするシート
    状とした大型表示器ユニツト。 (2) 前記発光体の発光色は二色以上のものが選択
    自在とするように前記表示ドツトに取付けられ
    ていることを特徴とする実用新案登録請求の範
    囲第(1)項記載のシート状とした大型表示器ユニ
    ツト。
