【発明の詳細な説明】
【0001】
【産業上の利用分野】本発明は、容器特に食品用容器の
製造方法に係わる。
【0002】本発明はより特定的には、食品を包装する
ための容器であって包装の密封が容器の製造時に形成さ
れる手段を介して行われる容器の製造に係わる。本発明
で製造するのは主に手で開けることができる容器である
ため、剥離式閉鎖部材(fermeture  pel
able)を備えるのが好ましい。
【0003】
【従来の技術】このような容器では閉鎖機能が下記の要
件を満たさなければならない。
【0004】1)密封処理後の移送(包装ライン、送出
ライン等)、通常121°Cで1時間行われるオートク
レーブ内での滅菌(耐熱性、密着強度等が問題になる)
、熱帯条件で1時間に及び得る貯蔵(40°C/90%
相対湿度)並びに熱衝撃による急激な温度変化(冷凍器
内の−18°Cから+40°Cへの変化)といった種々
の作用の影響下で食品の賞味期間にわたって密封状態を
維持する。
【0005】2)使用時に一定の力で簡単に開けること
ができる。

く)を得るために、欧州特許出願EP−A−0  26
2  652号(IDEMITSU)では、1)蓋及び
容器の接触し合う面を全体的に熱溶接することにより密
封状態を得、2)補助層と蓋もしくは容器のベースとを
引き剥がすために補助層に切込みを入れて一定の開放力
で剥離できるようにするという条件を満たすべく、蓋又
は閉鎖用部材の部分に同時押出によって補助層を形成し
、これに特定の形状の切口を予め設けることが提案され
ている。
【0008】しかしながら、この方法はコストが比較的
高く、シート製造時に補助層を該シート全体にわたって
付加しなければならない。
【0009】本発明者は、容器を閉鎖するための材料を
容器本体の製造時又は容器の密封時に閉鎖部分だけに付
加しながら容器を製造する方法を発見した。

【課題を解決するための手段】そこで本発明では、単層
もしくは多層シートの成形によって形成され、剥離式密
封部材を備えた容器の製造方法であって、容器の密封を
熱溶着性(thermosoudable)材料を用い
て実施し、この熱溶着性材料を容器の熱成形時又は密封
時に容器上に射出することを特徴とする方法を提供する
【0011】本発明は特に、プラスチック材料容器の本
体の製造で使用される熱成形技術及び密封技術をプラス
チック材料の射出技術と組合わせるという、これまで考
えられなかった手法を提案する。
【0012】このような方法では、舟形容器、ポット等
の容器の製造に使用する単層もしくは多層シートを、食
品工業又は製薬工業で一般的に使用されている熱成形可
能なプラスチック材料、特にポリオレフィン(例えばポ
リプロピレン即ちpp)、ポリスチレンもしくはポリエ
ステルをベースとする単層シート、又はこれらの単層に
酸素遮蔽層(例えばビニルアルコールとエチレンとのコ
ポリマー即ちEVOH)を付加した多層シートの中から
選択し得る。前記多層シートは通常サンドイッチ構造を
有する(例えばpp/接着剤/EVOH/接着剤/pp
)。これらのシートの厚みは通常0.3〜3mmである
【0013】剥離式閉鎖部材(又は蓋)は、食品工業又
は製薬工業で一般的に使用されている単層又は多層シー
ト、例えばアルミニウム、アルミニウム/ポリオレフィ
ン、PET/アルミニウム/ラッカー、プラスチック加
工した紙、又は容器材料として上述したような単層もし
くは多層プラスチック材料で形成し得る。
【0014】本発明では、容器を密封するための熱溶着
性材料を容器上、特に容器の縁部に射出する。この操作
は、容器の周縁に沿って1つ又は複数の連続閉鎖線が形
成されるように行う。本明細書ではこの線を以後ビード
(jonc又はcordon)と称する。
【0015】ビードの材料は、剥離可能な部分を容器と
ビードとの間に得るか、ビード材料中に得る(凝集破壊
(rupture  cohesive)か、又はビー
ドと蓋との間に得るかに応じて選択する。
【0016】この剥離部分は、ビード材料の選択、並び
にビードとビードを支持する容器もしくは蓋との組合わ
せの選択に応じて決まる。例えば、一般的な例として容
器の表面がポリオレフィンの場合には、熱溶着性材料を
主にポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン又はこれらの材料と
酢酸ビニル等とのコポリマーから選択し得る。但し、前
記コポリマーは、カルボン酸もしくはそのエステル、例
えばアクリル酸エステルもしくはメタクリル酸エステル
、又はイソプレンゴム、スチレンブタジエン等で改質し
たものである。これらのポリマーは製造業者によって通
常接着剤と呼ばれ、例えばExxon社のEscorR
、Dupont  deNemours社のBynel
R、Ato社のOrevacR、MitsuiのAdm
erR、MitsubishiのModicR等がある
【0017】前記熱溶着性材料は、熱成形機の種類に応
じて可動点又は固定点に従い射出し得る。
【0018】射出操作は、ビードの形状(断面、体積)
、ビードの受容形態及び容器上のビード位置にも依存す
る。本発明のように射出操作を熱成形と組合わせると、
1つ又は複数の機能を果たすのに必要な条件を最もバラ
ンス良く満たすことができる。
【0019】ビードの形状は密封が確実に行われるよう
に、即ち材料の量が十分であり且つハサミの作用(ef
fet  de  ciseaux)でファイバが切断
(coupage)されるように選択する。ビードの断
面はほぼ矩形、三角形又は円形にし得る。
【0020】ビードの受容形態は、密封時にビードがキ
ャビティで成形され且つ密封ゾーンが規定されるように
選択する。
【0021】ビードの位置としては、最も汚れにくい部
分、ビードが内圧に耐えられるような部分、容器の縁、
特に容器の縁部の上表面又は下表面での閉鎖を可能にす
る部分を選択する。
【0022】本発明の方法を使用すると、熱溶着性材料
をより広い範囲で選択することができ(この材料は同時
押出し基準に従う必要がない)、ビード位置の選択範囲
が広がり、ビード形状の選択範囲も広がり、ビード材料
の量の選択範囲も広がり(この量はいずれにしろ前出の
EP−A−0  262  652号に記載の層の量よ
り少ない)、且つ複数の部屋又は小区画を有する容器を

【実施例】以下、添付図面に基づき、本発明をより詳細
に説明する。
【0024】図1では、滅菌処理できる食品を詰めるた
めの舟形容器1が、多層シート(PP/接着剤/EVO
H/接着剤/PP、厚み1.2mm)を用いて、繰返し
使用できる熱成形型により熱成形されている。前記熱成
形型は主に、雌型2と、雄型プラグ3と、しわ押さえ部
材(Serre−flancs)4とを含む。しわ押さ
え部材4は、熱成形した容器1の縁部7にビードの形態
で射出される熱溶着性材料(Dupont  de  
Nemours社のBynelR)を送給するための通
路5を有する。このビード6はほぼ円形の断面を有し、
食品又は薬品を詰め且つ高温加圧下で蓋として機能する
PET/アルミニウム/ラッカーのシートにより被覆し
た容器1を密封する役割を果たす。この容器は、例えば
121°Cで1時間の滅菌処理にかけ且つ−20°C及
び+40°Cの熱衝撃を受けた後でも、蓋を剥ぎ取るこ
とによって簡単に開放できる。
【0025】図2〜図4は、容器1の縁部7におけるビ
ード6の配置(図2のA〜図4のA)、その後の密封(
図2のB〜図4のB)及び開放(図2のC〜図4のC)
に関する3つの実施例を示している。
【0026】熱溶着性材料からなるビード6の断面は、
図2のAのようなほぼ円形、図3のA及び図4のAのよ
うな三角形、又は図3のAの側端デポジットのようなほ
ぼ矩形にし得る。本発明では、容器の縁部の任意の場所
に熱溶着性材料を該材料の線が1つ(図2)、2つ(図
3)又はそれ以上、例えば4つ(図4)形成されるよう
にデポジットし得る。図2のB、図3のB及び図4のB
はデポジットした前記材料を介して行われる密封の状態
を示している。いずれの場合も、蓋の縁部は前記材料を
介して容器の縁部に付着している。図2のC、図3のC
及び図4のCは蓋を剥がすことによって簡単に実施でき
る容器の開放を示している。ビードの材料は、該材料が
容器上に残る(図2のC)か又は蓋上に残る(図3のC
及び図4のC)ように選択し得る。
【0027】当業者であれば容易に理解できるように、
本発明の方法は、容器本体をプラスチック材料シートで
はなく多層フィルムで形成する場合にも適用できる。こ
の多層フィルムは、容器本体の成形時にビードを同時射
出する面を構成する外側プラスチック材料層を含む。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項1】開口を有する本体と、開口の近傍に配置さ
    れた熱溶着性材料のビードと、ビード上に接着した蓋と
    を含む容器の製造方法であって、熱溶着性ビードを容器
    本体の製造時又は蓋の接着操作時に開口の近傍に射出す
    ることを特徴とする方法。
  2. 【請求項2】熱溶着性材料を、容器の周縁に沿って延び
    る1つ又は複数の連続閉鎖線に従って射出することを特
    徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
  3. 【請求項3】熱溶着性材料を容器の縁部に射出すること
    を特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
  4. 【請求項4】請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の方
    法で製造した、蓋の剥離によって開放できる容器。
