Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 ［産業上の利用分野］ この発明は、熱可塑性樹脂からなる成形品に一体成形さ
れたボスと被結合体とを締結する熱かしめ装置に関する
ものである。
〔従来の技術１ 従来、パワーモジュールの外装成形品と被結合体である
ヒートシンクを結合する際には、外装成形品に一体成形
されたボスとヒートシンクを嵌合し、半田ごてにより溶
融させ接合していた。これを第４図によりさらに説明す
る。
第４図はパワーモジュールの外装成形品と、被結合体で
あるヒートシンクの結合前の斜視図であり、第５図はか
しめ部の部分拡大断面図を示す。
第４図、第５図において、１はパワーモジュールの外装
形成品、１ａはこの外装成形品１に一体成形されたボス
、１ｄは従来のかしめ後のボス、２は被結合体であるヒ
ートシンク、２ａはこのヒートシンク２に形成されたボ
ス１ａが嵌合する嵌合穴、３は前記ボス１ａを溶融して
かしめるための半田ごて、４ａはこの半田ごて３の先端
に取り付けられたかしめ治具である。
次に、動作について説明する。
外装成形品１と一体成形されたボス１ａにヒトシンク２
の嵌合穴２ａを嵌合させた後、半田ごて３で加熱された
かしめ治具４ａでボス１ａを押えると、ボス１ａが可塑
化して頭部が変形し、成形後のボス１ｂの状態になり、
熱がしめの作業を終了する。
［発明が解決しようとする課題］ 従来の半田ごて３で行う接合方法では、かしめ治具４ａ
の接触による熱伝導で溶融していた。このため、ボス１
ａの溶融に時間を要し溶融状態が不安定で溶融部と非溶
融部の界面にクラックが発生ずるなど、ヒートシンク２
が確実に固定されない問題点があった。また、がしめ後
の表面状態も悪く、かしめ治具４ａに樹脂が付着するた
め、これを除去する清掃を必要とするなどの問題点が・
あった。
この発明は、上記のような問題点を解消するためになさ
れたもので、所要時間の短縮ができ、均一なかしめ品質
を得ることができるとともに、がしめの表面状態も美麗
にできる熱がしめ装置を得ることを目的とする。
（課題を解決するための手段］ この発明に係る熱かしめ装置は、一体成形されたボスを
有する熱可塑性樹脂を用いた成形品と、前記ボスと嵌合
する嵌合穴を有する被結合体とを熱かしめする装置であ
って、被結合体を成形品上にクランプする加圧部と、ボ
スを予熱する予熱部と、この予熱部により加熱されたボ
スを所要形状に成形する１本以上のかしめ治具と、この
がしめ治具をボスに押圧せしめる押圧部と、かしめ治具
に回転力を与える回転部と、かしめ治具によりボスを押
圧成形した後、成形後のボスを冷却する冷却部とを備え
たものである。
［作用］ この発明においては、ボスに熱風を吹付は可塑化させた
ボスを、加熱したかしめ治具で押圧し、回転させ成形を
行い、成形したボスを冷却し硬化させるようにしたこと
から、溶融→成形→硬化の順で熱かしめが迅速に、かつ
高品質に行われ、さらに安定したかしめが行われる。
〔実施例１ 以下、この発明の一実施例を図面について説明する。
第１図はこの発明の一実施例を示す熱かしめ装置の概要
構成を示す図である。第１図において、第４図、第５図
と同一符号は同一構成部分を示し、４Ａは前記ボス１ａ
を成形するかしめ治具で、このかしめ治具４Ａは、上部
に回転機構を有し、上下方向にスライドができるように
支承されている。５は前記かしめ治具４Ａを加熱するヒ
ータ、６は上部の固定板（図示せず）に取り付けられた
かしめ治具４Ａを押圧する押圧部、７は正転、逆転の揺
動運動をし、かしめ治具４Ａの回転機構に回転を伝達し
、かしめ治具４Ａを揺動させる回転部であり、この回転
部７は押圧部６の押圧でかしめ治具４Ａとともに上下に
スライドする。
８はノズルより冷却用空気を吹き出し、樹脂の硬化を促
進させる冷却部、９は外部より供給された空気を加熱し
、熱風を発生する予熱部、１０は上下にスライドし、嵌
合された外装成形品１とヒートシンク２をクランプする
加圧部、１１は前記外装成形品１とヒートシンク２を嵌
合したものを位置決めし、かしめ位置にセットする位置
決め治具、１２は前記位置決め治具１１を取り付けてい
る定盤である。
第２図は、第１図のかしめ部の詳細を示す拡大断面図で
あり、かしめ治具４Ａにより前記ボス１ａを成形し、成
形後のボス１ｂとし、外装成形品１とヒートシンク２を
結合したものである。
第３図はかしめ部の他の例を示す拡大断面図で、かしめ
治具４Ｂによりボス１ａを形成し、成形後のボス１Ｃと
したものである。この場合のかしめ治具４Ｂには円錐状
の突起４ｂを設け、ボス１ａを芯部まで可塑化させて形
成し、成形後のボス１Ｃの形状にする。
次に、動作について説明する。
第１図のように、外装成形品１とヒートシンク２を嵌合
した状態のものを、位置決め治具１１にセットし、ボス
１ａがかしめ位置にくると、加圧部１ｏが下がり外装成
形品１とヒートシンク２をクランプする。その後、予熱
部９で発生した熱風をボス１ａに吹き付け、可塑化を行
う。この可塑化状態のボス１ａにヒータ５で加熱したか
しめ治具４Ａを押圧部６により押圧し、回転部７でかし
め治具４Ａ上部の回転機構に回転を伝達し、かしめ治具
４Ａを回転さぜ押圧中のボス１ａを成形する。
成形後、押圧中のボス１ａの硬化を促進さセるために、
冷却部８のノズルより冷風をかしめ治具４Ａに吹きイ４
け、かしめ治具４Ａの温度を降下させて、ボス１ｂを硬
化さぜる。押圧部６によるかしめ治具４Ａの押圧および
加圧部１０の加圧を解除し作業を終了する。
なお、第３図のようにかしめ治具４Ｂの先端に円錐状の
突起４ｂを設けておけば、ボス１ａの芯部まで可塑化さ
せて成形後のボス１ｃの形状にすることにより、溶融部
のかしめ状態をより強いものにすることができる。
また、第１図に示す実施例はかしめ治具４Ａが２本の場
合であるが、複数本設けておき、複数箇所同時にかしめ
を行うようにすれば、さらに能率よくかしめ作業が行わ
れる。
〔発明の効果］ 以上説明したように、この発明は、一体成形されたボス
を有する熱可塑性樹脂を用いた成形品と、前記ボスと嵌
合する嵌合穴を有する被結合体とを熱かしめする装置で
あって、被結合体を成形品上にクランプする加圧部と、
ボスを予熱する予熱部と、この予熱部により加熱された
ボスを所要形状に成形する１本以上のかしめ治具と、こ
のかしめ治具をボスに押圧せしめる押圧部と、かしめ治
具に回転力を与える回転部と、かしめ治具によりボスを
押圧成形した後、成形後のボスを冷却する冷却部とを備
えたので、接合強度が増し、成形表面が美麗になるとと
もに、高品質のものが得られる。
また、ボス溶融が均一になり、溶融時間の短縮がはから
れ、精度の良い熱かしめが実現できる効果がある。

第１図はこの発明の一実施例による熱かしめ装置の正面
図、第２図、第３図はこの発明のかしめ状態を示す拡大
断面図、第４図は従来のかしめを必要とする外装成形品
とヒートシンクのかしめ前の斜視図、第５図は、第４図
のかしめ部の部分拡大断面図である。 図において、１は外装成形品、１ａはボス、１ｂ、Ｉｃ
は成形後のボス、２はヒートシンク、４Ａ、４Ｂはかし
め治具、６は押圧部、７は回転部、８は冷却部、９は予
熱部、１０は加圧部、１１は位置決め治具である。 なお、各図中の同一符号は同一または相当部分を示す。

Claims (1)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 一体成形されたボスを有する熱可塑性樹脂を用いた成形
    品と、前記ボスと嵌合する嵌合穴を有する被結合体とを
    熱かしめする装置であって、前記被結合体を前記成形品
    上にクランプする加圧部と、前記ボスを予熱する予熱部
    と、この予熱部により加熱されたボスを所要形状に成形
    する１本以上のかしめ治具と、このかしめ治具を前記ボ
    スに押圧せしめる押圧部と、前記かしめ治具に回転力を
    与える回転部と、前記かしめ治具により前記ボスを押圧
    成形した後、成形後のボスを冷却する冷却部とを備えた
    ことを特徴とする熱かしめ装置。
