【発明の詳細な説明】
[産業上の利用分野]
この発明は、熱可塑性樹脂からなる成形品に一体成形さ
れたボスと被結合体とを締結する熱かしめ装置に関する
ものである。

〔従来の技術1
従来、パワーモジュールの外装成形品と被結合体である
ヒートシンクを結合する際には、外装成形品に一体成形
されたボスとヒートシンクを嵌合し、半田ごてにより溶
融させ接合していた。これを第4図によりさらに説明す
る。

次に、動作について説明する。
外装成形品1と一体成形されたボス1aにヒトシンク2
の嵌合穴2aを嵌合させた後、半田ごて3で加熱された
かしめ治具4aでボス1aを押えると、ボス1aが可塑
化して頭部が変形し、成形後のボス1bの状態になり、
熱がしめの作業を終了する。

[発明が解決しようとする課題]
従来の半田ごて3で行う接合方法では、かしめ治具4a
の接触による熱伝導で溶融していた。このため、ボス1
aの溶融に時間を要し溶融状態が不安定で溶融部と非溶
融部の界面にクラックが発生ずるなど、ヒートシンク2
が確実に固定されない問題点があった。また、がしめ後
の表面状態も悪く、かしめ治具4aに樹脂が付着するた
め、これを除去する清掃を必要とするなどの問題点が・
あった。

(課題を解決するための手段]
この発明に係る熱かしめ装置は、一体成形されたボスを
有する熱可塑性樹脂を用いた成形品と、前記ボスと嵌合
する嵌合穴を有する被結合体とを熱かしめする装置であ
って、被結合体を成形品上にクランプする加圧部と、ボ
スを予熱する予熱部と、この予熱部により加熱されたボ
スを所要形状に成形する1本以上のかしめ治具と、この
がしめ治具をボスに押圧せしめる押圧部と、かしめ治具
に回転力を与える回転部と、かしめ治具によりボスを押
圧成形した後、成形後のボスを冷却する冷却部とを備え
たものである。

[作用]
この発明においては、ボスに熱風を吹付は可塑化させた
ボスを、加熱したかしめ治具で押圧し、回転させ成形を
行い、成形したボスを冷却し硬化させるようにしたこと
から、溶融→成形→硬化の順で熱かしめが迅速に、かつ
高品質に行われ、さらに安定したかしめが行われる。

〔実施例1
以下、この発明の一実施例を図面について説明する。
第1図はこの発明の一実施例を示す熱かしめ装置の概要
構成を示す図である。第1図において、第4図、第5図
と同一符号は同一構成部分を示し、4Aは前記ボス1a
を成形するかしめ治具で、このかしめ治具4Aは、上部
に回転機構を有し、上下方向にスライドができるように
支承されている。5は前記かしめ治具4Aを加熱するヒ
ータ、6は上部の固定板(図示せず)に取り付けられた
かしめ治具4Aを押圧する押圧部、7は正転、逆転の揺
動運動をし、かしめ治具4Aの回転機構に回転を伝達し
、かしめ治具4Aを揺動させる回転部であり、この回転
部7は押圧部6の押圧でかしめ治具4Aとともに上下に
スライドする。

合された外装成形品1とヒートシンク2をクランプする
加圧部、11は前記外装成形品1とヒートシンク2を嵌
合したものを位置決めし、かしめ位置にセットする位置
決め治具、12は前記位置決め治具11を取り付けてい
る定盤である。

結合したものである。

第3図はかしめ部の他の例を示す拡大断面図で、かしめ
治具4Bによりボス1aを形成し、成形後のボス1Cと

の突起4bを設け、ボス1aを芯部まで可塑化させて形
成し、成形後のボス1Cの形状にする。

次に、動作について説明する。
第1図のように、外装成形品1とヒートシンク2を嵌合
した状態のものを、位置決め治具11にセットし、ボス
1aがかしめ位置にくると、加圧部1oが下がり外装成
形品1とヒートシンク2をクランプする。その後、予熱
部9で発生した熱風をボス1aに吹き付け、可塑化を行
う。この可塑化状態のボス1aにヒータ5で加熱したか
しめ治具4Aを押圧部6により押圧し、回転部7でかし
め治具4A上部の回転機構に回転を伝達し、かしめ治具
4Aを回転さぜ押圧中のボス1aを成形する。

成形後、押圧中のボス1aの硬化を促進さセるために、
冷却部8のノズルより冷風をかしめ治具4Aに吹きイ4
け、かしめ治具4Aの温度を降下させて、ボス1bを硬
化さぜる。押圧部6によるかしめ治具4Aの押圧および
加圧部10の加圧を解除し作業を終了する。

なお、第3図のようにかしめ治具4Bの先端に円錐状の
突起4bを設けておけば、ボス1aの芯部まで可塑化さ
せて成形後のボス1cの形状にすることにより、溶融部
のかしめ状態をより強いものにすることができる。

また、第1図に示す実施例はかしめ治具4Aが2本の場
合であるが、複数本設けておき、複数箇所同時にかしめ
を行うようにすれば、さらに能率よくかしめ作業が行わ

以上説明したように、この発明は、一体成形されたボス
を有する熱可塑性樹脂を用いた成形品と、前記ボスと嵌
合する嵌合穴を有する被結合体とを熱かしめする装置で
あって、被結合体を成形品上にクランプする加圧部と、
ボスを予熱する予熱部と、この予熱部により加熱された
ボスを所要形状に成形する1本以上のかしめ治具と、こ
のかしめ治具をボスに押圧せしめる押圧部と、かしめ治
具に回転力を与える回転部と、かしめ治具によりボスを
押圧成形した後、成形後のボスを冷却する冷却部とを備
えたので、接合強度が増し、成形表面が美麗になるとと
もに、高品質のものが得られる。

Claims (1)
- 一体成形されたボスを有する熱可塑性樹脂を用いた成形
品と、前記ボスと嵌合する嵌合穴を有する被結合体とを
熱かしめする装置であって、前記被結合体を前記成形品
上にクランプする加圧部と、前記ボスを予熱する予熱部
と、この予熱部により加熱されたボスを所要形状に成形
する1本以上のかしめ治具と、このかしめ治具を前記ボ
スに押圧せしめる押圧部と、前記かしめ治具に回転力を
与える回転部と、前記かしめ治具により前記ボスを押圧
成形した後、成形後のボスを冷却する冷却部とを備えた
ことを特徴とする熱かしめ装置。
