Description
本発明はセージの抽出物及び/又はローズマリ
ーの抽出物とl−メントール及び/又はカルボン
とを併用することにより、口臭を効果的に除去し
た口臭除去用組成物に関する。
歯磨やマウスウオツシユ等の口腔用組成物は、
口腔内を清掃、洗浄し、口腔内を衛生的に保つた
めに使用するものであるが、この場合口腔用組成
物は人に不快な感じを与える口臭を除去する機能
を有するものであることが望まれる。
本発明者らは、優れた口臭除去効果を有する口
臭除去用組成物につき鋭意研究を行なつた結果、
セージの抽出物及び/又はローズマリーの抽出物
とlーメントール及び/又はカルボンとを併用す
ることにより、口臭を確実に除去し得ることを知
見し、本発明をなすに至つたものである。
以下、本発明につき詳しく説明する。
本発明は練歯磨、潤製歯磨、粉歯磨等の歯磨
類、洗口剤、口腔用パスタ、トローチ、チユーイ
ンガム、うがい用錠剤等の口臭除去用組成物中に
セージの抽出物及び/又はローズマリーの抽出物
とl−メントール及び/又はカルボンとを配合し
たものである。
この場合、セージ、ローズマリーの抽出物を得
るために用いられる原料としては、セージ、ロー
ズマリーの粉末;これらを水蒸気蒸留処理により
採油したものの残渣その他の精油採取残渣;或い
はセージ、ローズマリーをエチルエーテル、エチ
レンクロライド、ジオキサン、アセトン、エタノ
ールやメタノール等の低級アルコール、酢酸エチ
ル、プロピレングリコール、グリセリン、水等の
極性溶媒で抽出することにより得られたオレオレ
ジン及びその抽出残渣;セージ、ローズマリーを
n−ヘキサン、石油エーテル、リグロイン、シク
ロヘキサン、四塩化炭素、クロロホルム、ジクロ
ルメタン、1,2−ジクロルエタン、トルエン、
ベンゼン等の非極性溶媒で抽出することによつて
得られたオレオレジン及びその抽出残渣から選ば
れるものが使用される。これらの原料からセー
ジ、ローズマリーの抽出物を得る場合は、これら
の原料の1種又は2種以上を極性溶媒及び/又は
非極性溶媒(なお、これらの溶媒としては上で例
示したものが使用し得る)で抽出処理し、その抽
出物(抽出液又はこれから溶媒を留去したもの)
を採取する。本発明においては、この抽出物をそ
のまま使用することもできるが、この抽出物を水
蒸気蒸留処理することによつて得られる水蒸気蒸
留残渣、この抽出物もしくは前記水蒸気蒸留残渣
を活性炭、珪藻土、酸性白土等の吸着剤で処理し
たもの、更に前記抽出物を吸着剤で処理した後、
水蒸気蒸留処理して得られる残渣などもセージ、
ローズマリーの抽出物として好適に使用すること
ができる。なお、抽出方法としては公知の方法が
採用でき、例えば溶媒中にセージやローズマリー
の乾燥粉末を温浸する等の方法が採用し得る。こ
の場合、溶媒としては有機溶媒が好ましく、セー
ジやローズマリーを有機溶媒で抽出することによ
つて得られる有機溶媒抽出物は効果がより高いも
のである。
なお、本発明においてはセージ、ローズマリー
の抽出物として、上述した方法で得られる1種を
使用しても、2種以上を併用するようにしてもよ
い。

%、以下同じ)〜5%、特に0.05%〜2%とする
ことが好ましい。
本発明は上述したセージの抽出物及び/又はロ
ーズマリーの抽出物にl−メントール及び/又は
カルボンを併用するもので、これによりこれらが
相乗的に作用し、口臭の最大原因であるCH3SH
の悪臭を確実になくし、口臭の発生を良好に抑制
することができる。これに対し、セージの抽出
物、ローズマリーの抽出物を単独で使用しても
CH3SHの悪臭を完全に除去することができず、
またセージ抽出物、ローズマリー抽出物を他の精
油、香料成分、例えばバニラ油、アントラニル酸
メチル等と併用しても十分な口臭除去効果が得ら
れず、本発明の目的を達成し得ない。
本発明に使用されるl−メントール、カルボン
は精油から単離したものでも合成したものでもよ
く、またl−メントールやカルボンを含む精油、
例えばミント油をそのまま用いても差支えない。
ミント油としては、和種はつか油(Japanese
Mint Oil)、ペパーミント油(Peppermint Oil)、
ミツチヤムはつか油(Mitcham Peppermint
Oil,English Black Mint Oil及びEnglish
White Mint Oil)、スペアミント油(Spearmint
Oil,ネイテイブ種及びスコツチ種)等が挙げら
れる。特に、これらのうちではM.piperita L.種
から採油されたものが好ましい。なお、上記ミン
ト油はその1種を単独で使用しても2種以上を併
用するようにしてもよく、単離又は合成l−メン
トール、カルボンと組合せて用いてもよい。ま
た、l−メントール、カルボンの配合量はいずれ
も組成物全体の0.01〜2%、特に0.05〜1%とす
ることが好ましい。
なお、本発明においては、l−メントール、カ
ルボンに加えて他の精油、香料素材を配合して差
支えない。
本発明の他の成分としては、口臭除去用組成物
の種類に応じた適宜な成分が用いられる。例えば
練歯磨の場合であれば、第2リン酸カルシウム・
2水和物及び無水物、炭酸カルシウム、ピロリン
酸カルシウム、硫酸カルシウム、不溶性メタリン
酸ナトリウム、非晶質シリカ、結晶質シリカ、ア
ルミノシリケート、水酸化アルミニウム、酸化ア
ルミニウム、レジン等の研磨剤(配合量通常20〜
60%)、カルボキシメチルセルロース、ヒドロキ
シエチルセルロース、アルギン酸塩、カラゲナ
ン、アラビアガム、ポリビニルアルコール等の粘
結剤(0.3〜5%)、ポリエチレングリコール、ソ
ルビトール、グリセリン、プロピレングリコール
等の粘稠剤(10〜70%)、ソジウムラウリルサル
フエート、ドデシルベンゼンスルホン酸ナトリウ
ム、水素添加ココナツツ脂肪酸モノグリセリドモ
ノ硫酸ナトリウム、ラウリルスルホ酢酸ナトリウ
ム、N−ラウロイルザルコシン酸ナトリウム、N
−アシルグルタミン酸塩、ラウリルジエタノール
アマイド、シヨ糖脂肪酸エステル等の発泡剤(0

オサイド、ネオヘスペリジルジヒドロカルコン、
グリチルリチン、ペリラルチン、p−メトキシシ
ンナミツクアルデヒド、ソーマチンなどの甘味
剤、防腐剤などの成分を水と混和し、常法に従つ
て製造する。また、マウスウオツシユ等の口腔洗
浄剤その他においても、製品の性状に応じた成分
が適宜配合される。
また、本発明の口臭除去用組成物には塩化リゾ
チーム、デキストラナーゼ、溶菌酵素、ムタナー
ゼ、クロルヘキシジン又はその塩、ソルビン酸、
アレキシジン、ヒノキチオール、セチルピリジニ
ウム、クロライド、アルキルグリシン、アルキル
ジアミノエチルグリシン塩、アラントイン、ε−
アミノカプロン酸、トラネキサム酸、アズレン、
ビタミンE、モノフルオロリン酸ナトリウム、フ
ツ化ナトリウム、フツ化第1錫、水溶性第1もし
くは第2リン酸塩、第四級アンモニウム化合物、
塩化ナトリウムなどの有効成分を配合することも
できる。
而して、本発明に係る口臭除去用組成物は、セ
ージの抽出物及び/又はローズマリーの抽出物と
l−メントール及び/又はカルボンとを併用した
ことにより、これらが相乗的に作用し合つて
CH3SHの悪臭等に起因する口臭を効果的に抑制
するものである。
次に実験例を示し、本発明の効果を具体的に説
明する。
〔実験例〕
セージの乾燥粉末100.0gにメタノール300mlを
加え、70〜80℃の水浴上で冷却管を付けて1時間
還流した。次いでメタノール画分を別し、残渣
に新しいメタノールを加え、同様の還流を2回繰
り返し、計3回の抽出操作を行なつた。メタノー
ル抽出液はまとめて減圧濃縮し、濃縁色のペース
ト27.4gを得た。
また、ローズマリーの乾繰粉末30gにメタノー
ル150mlを加え、70〜80℃の水浴上で冷却管を付
けて1時間還流した。以下、セージの場合と同様
に操作し、濃緑褐色の固体7.3gを得た。
他の溶媒についても上記と同様に操作し、セー
ジ、ローズマリーの種々の抽出物を得た。
