Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 （産業上の利用分野） 本発明は、身体の分泌物の捕集を支援するために装着す
る使捨て吸収物に係り、特に月経時の分添物を捕集する
ための衛生ナプキンを意図し、さらに特に、横方向に伸
長し得るバックシート、又は、横方向に伸長し得る翼形
部分を有し、その１つ以上が着用者の下着に固定される
衛生ナプキンに関する。
（従来技術） 衛生ナプキン、及び、これに関連する吸収物は、月経時
の身体の分泌物を捕集し、着用者の下着の汚損を防止し
、身体の分泌物を埋め込むように保持するものであり、
このような衛生ナプキン等は、従来から公知にされてい
る。これらの吸収物は、代表的な場合には、青用者の身
体に対して所要の位置に位置決めされるトップシートと
、身体の分泌物が衛生ナプキンから漏れ出すのを防止す
るバックシートと、身体の分泌物を吸収する吸収コアと
を６する。
衛生ナプキンは、代表的な場合には、この衛生ナプキン
を着用者の下着に取り付けるための装置を有する。例え
ば、バックシートの外面の感圧接着剤は、この目的に、
長いこと使用されて来た。
このバックシートの外面の感圧接着剤は、代表的な場合
には、長方形のバッチ、又は、長手方向に平行な紐状部
材に配置されている。このような感圧接着剤は１９７２
年６月２７日にロエダに対して付与された米国特許第３
，６７２，３７１号に図示されている。この米国特許第
３，６７２，３７１号に図示されているように、平行な
紐状部材は連続的な形、又は、間欠的な形である。
このような留め具の改良も従来から行われてきた。例え
ば、１９８４年３月１日に付与された米国特許第４，４
４５，９００号は、２つの紐状部材を衛生ナプキンの中
央部にＸ形に交差させた接着パターンを有する衛生ナプ
キンを開示している。
青用者の下着への接着を向上するための、さらに他の試
みは１９８２年６月８日に付与された米国特許第４．３
３３．４６６号に図示されている。
この米国特許第４．３３３，４６６号は、衛生ナプキン
の縁の輪郭を外側に凹んだ形の凹部の形にする接着を開
示した。
従来のバックシート取付は装置は、着用者の下着の動き
に対する余裕度がなく、特に、着用者の下着の横方向の
の動きに対する余裕度がないという欠点に悩まされてき
た。着用者の下着が着用者の代表的な動きに良く適合し
ていない場合には、バックシートの取付は装置は、この
ような動きによる応力及び変形を吸収することができな
い。そのために、衛生ナプキンを着用者の下着に取り付
けるための装置は、応力が加えられて、衛生ナプキンを
意図した位置から偏位させるという結果になり、又は、
加えられる外力が非常に大きい場合には、衛生ナプキン
が着用者の下着から外れるという結果を招くことさえあ
る。
さらに、他の開発が、身体の分泌物による汚損を防止し
、衛生ナプキンの位置決め及び着用者の下着への衛生ナ
プキンの取付けを行うための装置を提供するために行わ
れ、この開発によって、衛生ナプキンの長手方向の各縁
から外側に伸長するフラップが提供された。衛生ナプキ
ンと共に便利に使用出来るフラップは、１９８６年３月
２０日に付与された米国特許第４，５８９，８７６号と
、１９８７年８月１８日に付与された米国特許第４゜５
８９．８７６号とに示されており、この２つの米国特許
は、衛生ナプキンと共に使用するフラップの好ましい実
施を示す目的で参照して、本発明を部分的に構成する。
これらのフラップは、代表的な場合には、接着剤を有し
、この接着剤はフラップの外側を向いている面に使用さ
れる。この接着剤の具体的な形状は殆ど変化しないが、
代表的な実施は、１９８７年１０月２０日に付与された
米国特許第４，７０１．１７８号とに示されている。
この衛生ナプキンの長手方向の縁から外側に伸長し得る
フラップも、このフラップを正確かつ適当に位置決めし
ない限り、着用者の下着と共に移動せず、着用者の下着
の移動によって加えられる力が、フラップを着用者の下
着に固定している接着剤の強度を越えた場合には、剥が
れ、衛生ナプキンを青用している間、この衛生ナプキン
の偏位を充分に吸収することができないという欠点に悩
まされている。
（発明が解決しようとする課題） 本発明の１的は、衛生ナプキンを着用者の下着に取り付
けるための改良された装置を提供することにある。本発
明の他の目的は、着用者の下着に対する衛生ナプキンの
移動及び位置決めミスを許容し、衛生ナプキンを従来よ
りも快適に着用出来るようにするためのバックシートと
フラップを提供することにある。
（課題を解決するための手段） 本発明は衛生ナプキンを備え、この衛生ナプキンは長手
方向の軸線と、離間した長手方向の縁とを有する。この
衛生ナプキンは、透液性トップシートと、非透液性バッ
クシートと、前記トップシートとバックシートとの間に
介在する吸収コアと、この衛生ナプキンの長手方向の縁
から外側に延びている１枚以上のフラップとを有する。
このバックシートとフラップは、少なくとも、その１つ
が、横方向の軸線に平行に弾力的に伸長し得るものであ
る。この衛生ナプキンは、好ましくは、さらに、衛生ナ
プキンを着用者の下着に取り付けるための装置を備え、
この衛生ナプキンを着用者の下着に取り付けるための装
置が、代表的な場合には、バックシート、又は、フラッ
プの外側を向いている面に配置される。
第一形態においては、実施の一例として、フラップが、
トップシート、バックシート、又は、この両者と一体に
なり、このフラップが少なくとも部分的に横方向に弾力
的に伸長することができる。
また、実施の第二の例として、フラップは、長手方向の
ひだに沿って衛生ナプキンの長手方向の縁ど一体になり
、かつ、長手方向に延びているスプリングと一体になり
、このスプリングがひだを拡げてフラップを横方向に弾
力的に伸長させる。
本発明は、第二形態においては、衛生ナプキンを備え、
この衛生ナプキンは横方向に弾力的に伸長し得るバック
シートを有する。この第二形態においては、代表的な場
合には、取付は装置を有し、二の取付は装置は、平行な
、対称形に対向し、又は、外側に凹んだ形の接着剤であ
り、接着剤の一つが長手方向の中心線の両側に配置され
る。この形態は、接着剤の紐状部材を長手方向の中心線
の両側に配置して、この接着剤の紐状部材を、他の接着
剤の紐状部材とは独立に移動させることができる。
〔実施例〕
以下、本発明の実施例を図面につき説明する。
この説明においては、同じような部分に対して同じ符号
を与え、類似している部分に対しては符号を添字を付し
た符号を使用する。
第１図に示すように、本発明は使捨て形の吸収物を備え
、特に衛生ナプキン２０を備えている。
この衛生ナプキン２０は膣からの分泌物、例えば、月経
時の分泌物を捕集して、衛生ナプキン着用者の下着がこ
れらの分泌物によって汚されるのを防止するために使用
される。この衛生ナプキン２０は、透液性トップシート
２２と、非透液性バックシート２４と、吸収コア２６と
、１枚以上のフラップ２８とを備えており、このフラッ
プ２８は衛生ナプキン２０の長手方向の縁３０から延び
ており、さらに、好ましくは、この衛生ナプキン２０は
、２枚の対称形に対向するフラップ２８を備えており、
この対称形に対向するフラップ２８のうちの一方のフラ
ップは衛生ナプキン２０の長手方向の縁３０から延びて
いる。この衛生ナプキン２０の周囲の縁は、長手方向の
縁３０と２つの横の縁３２とによって形成さている。
各フラップ２８には、衛生ナプキン２ｏを着用者の下着
に取り付けるための装置４０が取り付けられている。こ
の衛生ナプキン２０を着用者の下着に取り付けるための
装置４０は弾力的に横に延びる面に結合される。この弾
力的に横に延びる面は、第１図、及び、第２図に示すよ
うに、衛生ナプキン２０を構成する部分であり、この衛
生ナプキン２０の構成部分は、何れの部分も弾力的に横
に伸長する性質を有し、若しくは、第３図ないし第５図
に示すように、明瞭な形状を有する構成部材によって弾
力的に伸長される性質を有し、この明瞭な形状を有する
構成部材は、このような目的のために特に加えられるも
のである。好ましくは、この横に延びる性質は直接的な
並進によって具現され、従って、全ての横に伸長する性
質は、長手方向に対してほぼ共面線に、又は、はぼ平行
に維持される。
衛生ナプキン２０は、そのほぼ中央に、長軸線３４を有
する。ここに使用する「長手方向」という用語は、衛生
ナプキン２０の仮想線、軸線、又は方向を意味しており
、この仮想線、軸線、又は方向は、代表的な場合には、
衛生ナプキンの縁の間に中央にあり、かつ、垂直面と概
ね並び、この垂直面は直立した姿勢の着用者を右半身と
左半身に二等分する面である。また、この「横方向」と
いう用語は、横方向にほぼ直交する仮想線、軸線、又は
方向を意味しており、この仮想線、軸線、又は方向は、
着用者に対して、はぼ横並びになる。
この構成部を、第３図を参照して、より細部に亘って検
討すれば、トップシート２２は衣類の構成部材であり、
このトップシート２２は、着用者の身体に寄り添い、こ
の着用者の身体に接触して、この着用者の身体の分泌物
を受は入れるものである。このトップシート２２は、透
液性と可撓性を有し、かつ、皮膚に刺激を与えないもの
である。
ここに使用する「可撓性を有するＪという用語は、着用
者の体形に馴染み、着用者の体形に容易に−致し、又は
、外力を受けた時に、この外力に応答して容易に変形す
ることを意味している。好ましくは、トップシート２２
は、騒音を発生せず、着用者が自由裁量によって使用す
るものである。このトップシート２２は、外観が清潔で
あって、かつ、成る程度不透明にすべきであり、この不
透明度は、吸収コア２６に吸収された分泌物を隠蔽し得
る程度の不透明度である。
トップシート２２は、さらに、滲み通しが良く、再度濡
れても差し支えない性質を有するものにすべきであり、
これらの性質は、着用者の身体の分泌物を、トップシー
ト２２を通して、吸収コア２６に迅速に移動させるが、
トップシート２２から着用者の皮膚には漏れ出さないよ
うにすることができる。適当なトップシートは不織材料
と、孔をあけであるポリオレフィンのフィルムとを用い
て作られている。このトップシート２２は弾力的に横に
延びるものにすることができるが、この性質は必要不可
欠なものではない。
トップシート２２は多数の孔を有し、この多数の孔は、
トップシート２２に付着した液体を、この孔を通して、
吸収コア２６まで通過させることができる。このような
孔は、フラップ２８に設けられるが、このようにするこ
とは必要不可欠なものではない。トップシート２２は、
必要に応じて、弾力的に横に延びるようにしても良く、
或いは、弾力的に伸長しないようにすることもできる。
弾力的に延びるトップシート２２、或いは、弾力的に伸
長しないトップシート２２を選択する場合には、有孔ポ
リオレフィンフィルムを用いて作ったトップシート２２
は、あけである孔の面積が約５ないし約６０パーセント
、代表的な場合には約２５パーセントであり、孔があけ
られる前の厚さが約０．０１ないし約０１０５ミリメー
トルであり、適当に孔があけられた後の厚さが約０，４
６ないし約０．５１ミリメートルである。
必要に応じて、トップシート２２に表面活性剤を噴霧し
て、吸収コア２６の液体浸透力を強化することができる
。この表面活性剤は、代表的な場合には非イオン性であ
り、皮膚に刺激を与えないものにすべきである。表面活
性剤の密度は、トップシート２２の面積１平方センチメ
ートル当り約０．０１ミリグラムにするのが適当である
。適当な表面活性剤は、グリコ・ケミカル社（米国コネ
チカット州グリーンウィッチ）がペゴスバース２０ＯＮ
＋、の商品名で市販している。
特に適当なトップシート２２は、１９８２年８月３［１
にリーデル他に対して付与された米国特許節４，３４２
，３１４号、及び、１９８４年７月３１日にアー他に対
して付与された米国特許節４゜４６３．０４５号に基づ
いて作られたものであり、これらの米国特許は、特に好
ましい透液性トップシート２２を開示する目的の下に参
照する範囲内で、本発明を部分的に構成する。弾力的に
横に延びないトップシート２２は、エチル・コーポレー
ション社ビスクーン・デビジョン（米国インヂアナ州テ
レハウト）が、モデルＸ３２６５、又は、モデルＰ１５
５２の商品名で市販している有孔フィルムを使用すれば
、加工性が良い。弾力的に延びるフィルムで作られたト
ップシート２２は、１９８４年１０月９日にウヌクに対
して付与された米国特許第４，４７６．１８０号に記載
されている有孔フィルムで作ることができ、この米国特
許第４，４７６．１８０号は、特に好ましい有孔フィル
ムを示す目的の下に参照する範囲内で、本発明を部分的
に構成する。このタイプの適当なフィルムは、エクソン
・コーポレーション社（米国テキサス州ヒユーストン）
がＥＸＸ７の商品名で市販している。
バックシート２４は、可撓性を有する任意の非透液性材
料、又は、可撓性を有する任意の難透液性材料、例えば
ポリオレフィンフィルム等を用いて作ることができ、衛
生ナプキン２０に捕集されて含まれている身体分泌物、
特に吸収コア２６によって吸収された身体分泌物が、衛
生ナプキン２０から漏洩して、着用者の衣服を汚し、又
はむ用者の衣服に取れないように滲み込むことを防止す
る。好ましくは、バックシート２４は、騒音を発生せず
、着用者が自由裁量によって使用するものである。
このバックシート２４は、さらに、吸収された身体の分
泌物から発生する悪臭のガスを透化させない。この非透
化は、悪臭を漏洩させず、着用者に気付かれないように
するために行う。非透液性バックシート２４を選択する
場合には、厚さが約０．０１ないし約０．０５、好まし
くは、厚さが約０．０２ミリメートルの低密度ポリエチ
レン製バックシート２４を使用すれば、加工性を良くで
きることが判った。このようなポリエチレンフィルムと
しては、エチル・コーポレーション社ビスクーン・デビ
ジョンが、モデルＸＰ３９３８５の商品名で市販してい
る有孔フィルムが、本発明に特に適当であることが判っ
た。
特に好ましい形態においては、バックシート２４は、ト
ップシート２２と、介在する吸収コア２６よりも若干大
きくする。この介在する吸収コア２６はトップシート２
２とバックシート２４との間に介在する吸収コアである
。このような形態においては、トップシート２２、及び
、介在する吸収コア２６の周囲をバックシート２４で取
り囲み、トップシート２２の縁から放射状に約０．５な
いし１．５センチメートル、好ましくは約１．０センチ
メートルの余裕部を設ける。この形状によって、身体の
分泌物の漏洩を防止するための余裕部を形成することが
でき、この余裕部の形成は、吸収コア２６に過大な負担
が掛かるのを防止し、又は、衛生ナプキン２０が漏洩し
ないように行うべきである。このような形態においては
、バックシート２４とフラップ２８は、一体に、かつ、
共伸長するようにするのが好ましい。
さらに、バックシート２４は、柔軟な布状材料を用いて
作ることができ、トップシート２２に対して疎水性を有
する材料、例えば、ポリエステル又はポリオレフィンの
繊維を用いて作られるバックシート２４にすれば、加工
性を良くすることができる。特に好ましい柔軟な布状材
料を用いて作るバックシート２４の材料は積層されて一
方向に弾力的に伸長する弾性フィルムであり、このよう
なフィルムは、既に引用した、ウヌクに対して付与され
た米国特許第４，４７６．１８０号に記載されている。
好ましくは、不織積層材料は、水分で絡み合う繊維を用
いて、フラップ２８が横方向に弾力的に伸ばされた時に
、この不織積層材料が、引き裂き又はカーリング等の過
度の変形を発生すること無く、伸長するように作られる
。不織材料であって水分で絡み合う繊維を用いられた布
は、そのバイアス重量を、１平方メートル当り約３７グ
ラムにするのが適当である。適当な不織布はインターナ
ショナル・ペーパーΦカンパニー社のベラティック・ノ
ンウオーブン・グループ（米国マサチューセッツ州つオ
ルボール）が、歪みのない市として市販している。
弾力的に伸びるフィルムの積層材は、エチレンビニール
アセテート、ゴム、ポリブチル・ヂエン、又は、シェル
・コーポレーシオン社（米国テキサス州ヒユーストン）
が市販しているクラトン系樹脂を用いて作ることができ
る。好ましくは、このフィルムは、鋳造成型が容易で、
加熱成型可能であり、記憶性が良く、このフィルムに加
えられた張力が除去された時に、元の状態に復帰する性
質を有するものにすべきである。特に充分に適当なフィ
ルムは、既に引用したウヌクに対して付与された米国特
許節４，４７６．１８０号に記載されている。
この積層材は２枚の積層材を結合して形成することがで
きる。このような構造にする代りに、３枚の積層材を結
合することにより形成し、その中央の積層材としてフィ
ルムを使用し、外側の２枚の積層材として、それぞれ、
不織布を使用することができる。この積層材は、幅が約
０．８ミリメートルのビードを長手方向の姿勢にし、約
６ミリメードルのピッチで接着結合することができる。
適当な接着剤は、フィンプリーやアドヘッシブ・カンパ
ニーン１（米国ウィスコンシン州つオーワトサ）が製造
し、Ｈ２Ｏ３１の商品名で市販している。
吸収コア２６は、身体の分泌物、特に月経時の分泌物を
捕集し、この捕集した身体の分泌物を、この吸収コアに
含ませた状態で保持し、又は、透液性トップシート２２
を横切る方向に移動しないように保持するための装置で
ある。この吸収コア２６は衛生ナプキン２０の構成部材
であり、身体の分泌物を受は入れて保持するものである
。この吸収コア２６は、好ましくは、２枚の対向する而
を有し、その一方の面はバックシート２４の方を向き、
他の一方の面はトップシート２２の方を向いている。
適当な吸収コア２６の材料は、アエフエルト例えばセル
ローズの詰め物や繊維状のバルブの集合物や層状のティ
ッシュペーパ等と、ゲル化する吸収材とを、組合せて含
んでいるものである。ティッシュペーパの吸収コア２６
を選択する場合には、そのティッシュペーパを、１９８
０年３月４日にトロカーンに対して付与された米国特許
節４，１９１．６０９号に基づいて作り、この米国特許
節４．１９１，６０９号は、この米国特許節４，１９１
．６０９号に記載されている、衛生ナプキン２０のため
に適当な、特に好ましいティッシュペーパを示すために
、本明細書に引用して、本発明を部分的に構成する。ゲ
ル化する吸収材を、衛生ナプキン２０の吸収コア２６の
中に組み込む必要がある場合には、このゲル化する吸収
材を、１９８７年３月３１日にプラント他に対して付与
された米国特許節４．６５４，０３９号に基づいて作り
、この米国特許ＴＳ４，６５４，０３９号を、特に好ま
しいゲル化する吸収材が適当であることを示すために引
用して、本発明を部分的に構成する。ゲル化する吸収材
とティッシュペーパとの適当な積層材は、ブレーン・プ
ロッセシングφコーポレーション社（米国アイオワ州マ
スカタイン）が、モデル番号し５３５の商品名で市販し
ている。
吸収コア２６の吸収能力を、吸収すべき身体の分泌物の
全量よりも多くする必要はない。この吸収コア２６は、
好ましくは、性用者にとって快適であるように、狭く、
かつ、薄いものである。ここに記載する形態の場合、吸
収コア２６の吸収能力は、０．９パーセントの食塩水を
約２グラム以上吸収出来るようにすべきである。適当な
食塩水は、トラベノール・ラボラトリ−（米国イリノイ
州デアフィールド）か市販している。
この吸収コア２６は、トップシート２２及びバックシー
ト２４の決められた位置に取り付けることかできる寸法
にすべきである。この吸収コア２６は、好ましくは、ト
ップシート２２とバックシート２４との間にあって、衛
生ナプキン２０が着用されて身体の分泌物を適当に含ん
だ時に、吸収コア２６の吸収材が切断され、又は剥がれ
るのを防止する。この構造も、一体の組立体にすること
ができる。
さらに、衛生ナプキン２０は、好ましくは、厚さが約４
ミリメートル未満、より好ましくは約４ミリメートル未
満であり、この厚さはコンパレータゲージを用いて測定
した値であり、このコンパレータゲージは、テスト重量
が約８０．０グラム、及び、約１０．０グラムであり、
コンパレータフットの直径が約２．５４センチメー　ト
ルであり、接触面積が約５．１平方センチメートルであ
る。
また、本発明の衛生ナプキン２０は、トップシート２２
の表面積を約１００平方センチメートルにして、身体の
流状の分泌物が排出される面積の範囲から漏洩するのを
防止し得るようにすべきである。
吸収コア２６は、好ましくは、トップシート２２に結合
され、バックシート２４に結合することもできる。ここ
に使用する「結合」という用語は、第一部材又は第一構
成部材が第二部材又は第二構成部材に直接的に結合又は
接続される状態、又は、間接的に、第一部材又は第一構
成部材が、中間に介在する部材又は構成部材に結合又は
接続され、逆に、第二部材又は第二構成部材に結合又は
接続される状態を意味している。この第一部材又は第一
構成部材と、第二部材又は第二構成部材との結合又は接
続の関係は、衛生ナプキン２０の寿命の維持を意図した
ものである。
結合は、好ましくは、吸収コア２６をトップシート２２
又はバックシート２４に接着結合させるように行う。こ
の接着剤は、任意の適当な噴霧パターン、例えば螺旋形
、又は長手方向の姿勢のビードに塗布することができる
。この接着剤は、表面活性剤に対する耐性が大きく、感
圧性が小さいものにすべきである。これは、着用者の皮
膚に固着させないためである。
また、衛生ナプキン２０はフラップ２８を備えており、
このフラップ２８は衛生ナプキン２０の長手方向の縁３
０から延びており、好ましくは、１枚のフラップ２８が
衛生ナプキン２０の長手方向の縁３０から延びている。
このフラップ２８は、衛生ナプキン２０の長手方向の軸
線３４、及び、中央部から延びている。ここに使用する
「中央部」という用語は、衛生ナプキン２０の中央部、
特に長手。方向の中央部を意味しており、この中央部は
このフラップ２８の近いほうの縁によって形成される部
分である。
フラップ２８は、トップシート２２、バックシート２４
、又は、これらのシートを共に積層した材料と、一体構
造又は連続した形の延長部を備えている。このような構
造にする代りに、フラップ２８を、衛生ナプキン２０の
長手方向の縁３０に結合される分離又は独立した材料を
用いて作ることもできる。
フラップ２８は近いほうの端部３６を有し、この近いほ
うの端部３６は、代表的な場合には、衛生ナプキン２０
の長手方向の縁３０に対するアタッチメントの結合部と
一致し、又は、その近いほうの端部が衛生ナプキン２０
の長手方向の縁３０に並列になっている他の部分に結合
される。このフラップ２８は衛生ナプキン２０から長手
方向、及び外側方向に弾力的に延び、このフラップ２８
の端部は衛生ナプキン２０の遠方側端部にある。
この遠方側端部は衛生ナプキン２０の長手方向の縁３０
から最も遠い位置を表わす。このフラップ２８は、必要
に応じて任意の形状にすることが可能であり、特に好ま
しい形状は第１図に示す形状である。
このフラップ２８は、さらに、このフラップ２８の１つ
の面を着用者の下着、又は他のフラップ２８に取り付け
るためのアタッチメントを有する。このアタッチメント
は機械的なファスナ、又は、好ましくは感圧接着剤４０
にすることができる。この感圧接着剤４０を選択する場
合には、この感圧接着剤４０をフラップ２８の面に配置
すべきであり、この感圧接着剤は、フラップ２８が第１
図、及び第２図に示すように平らに延ばされ、後退した
位置にある時に、トップシート２２及び吸収コア２６か
ら離れる方向の姿勢であり、従って、フラップ２８が着
用者の下着の股部の周囲に重ねられた時には、感圧接着
剤４０は着用者の下着の外面に対面する。適当な感圧接
着剤４０は、アンカーコンチネンタル社のシグマψデイ
ビジョン（米国オハイオ州コビングトン）がセンチユリ
−・アドヘッシブＡ３０５−４に通す０．０２ミリメー
トルとして市販している。好ましくは、感圧接着剤４０
は剥離紙（図示せず）で被覆される。
これは、この感圧接着剤４０の使用前の汚損、又は、好
ましくない付着を防止するためである。
１枚以上のフラップ２８は横方向に弾力的に伸びること
ができる。ここに使用する「横方向に弾内的に伸びるこ
とができる」という用語は次のように定義される。衛生
ナプキン２０、又は、衛生ナプキン２０の構成部材の試
験を行い、次の基準に合致した場合に、弾力的に伸びる
ことができるとされる。この第一の基準は、構成部材を
、衛生ナプキン２０のバランスとは独立にテストするこ
とを意図し、第二の基準は、衛生ナプキン２０を、一体
構造の１つの組立体としてテストすることを意図してい
るものものである。
この第一のテストを行うためには、衛生ナプキン２０か
ら全ての剥離紙が除去される。何れの感圧接着剤４０も
、適当なマスキング材、例えばコーンスターチ等でブロ
ックされる。フラップ２８、バックシート２４、又は、
その他のテストされる衛生ナプキン２０の他の構成部材
は、衛生ナプキン２０の残余の部分から、例えばフラッ
プ２８の近いほうの端部に沿って、鋏を用いて切り取ら
れる。テストされる衛生ナプキン２０の特に必要な構成
部材は、この構成部材の表面に、衛生ナプキン２０を着
用者の下着に取り付けるための装置４０が結合される。
このテストされる構成部材の部分は、スプリング４４が
衛生ナプキン２０の構成部材の弾力的に伸長しない部分
から突き出している場合には、公知のスプリング４４、
又は疑わしいスプリング４４を、明瞭に含むように選択
される。
テストされる構成部材に複数の積層材が使用されている
場合には、この各積層材は、他の積層材から分離されて
テストされる。しかしながら、テストされる構成部材に
結合されている積層材、又は他の異物は、このような積
層材又は他の異物がテストされる構成部材の試験片の殆
ど全ての部分に結合している場合には、除去される。そ
の後に、テストされる構成部材は好ましい試験片の寸法
に切断される。この好ましい試験片の寸法は、約６．４
センチメートル（ゲージ長さ）Ｘ約２．５４センチメー
トル（幅）である。テストされる試験片が余りに小さく
て、この好ましい寸法の試験片を切り出すことができな
い場合には、より小さい試験片をテストすることができ
る。
弾力的な伸長は、引張り試験機を用いて測定される。こ
のテストに使用する引張り試験機はインストロン・エン
ジニアリング・コーポレーション社（米国マサチューセ
ッツ州カントン）製のモデル１１２２である。この引張
り試験機のための′好ましいジョーは、空気作動方式で
、コーティングされており、軽荷重で、平らな面を有す
るジョーであり、インストロン・モデル番号が３Ｂであ
る。
テストされる試験片は、この引張り試験機に取り付けら
れる。取付けは、テストされる試験片を、この引張り試
験機の伸長方向の長平方向の主軸線に合わせるように行
う。テストされる衛生ナプキン２０の構成部材は、好ま
しくは、この引張り試験機の各ジョーに、この引張り試
験機の使用によるジョーの引裂きを充分に防止し得る距
離だけ挿入される。
このジョーは、試験片に荷重を与えることなく、この試
験片が緊張するまで引き離される。全ての皺は、設計さ
れたひだ４２、折曲げ部４２等を除いて、除去される。
これによって、試験片に対するジョーの最初の位置が決
められる。
ジョーは、毎分約１００センチメートルの一定の速度で
、約２５パーセント（最初のゲージ長さの１．２５倍）
に達するまで引かれる。この操作によって、最初のゲー
ジ長さとジョーの位置から伸長した位置までの伸長の応
力対歪みのグラフを作ることができ、このグラフから、
垂直軸線に沿った応力のベクトルと、水平軸線に沿った
歪みのベクトルとを得ることができる。このグラフによ
って面積が計算され、この面積を後にＡｔとして参照す
る。このグラフによる面積を計算するための適当な方法
にはコンピュータのプログラムを使用し、このプログラ
ムは、ラボラトリ−・マイクロシステムズ社（米国ニュ
ーヨーク州トロイ）によって、メカニカル壷テスト・パ
ッケージの商品名で市販されている。
その後に、ジョーを、毎分約１００センチメートルの一
定の速度で、最初の位置に戻す。これによって、弛緩し
た応力対歪みのグラフを作ることができ、このグラフは
伸長した位置から、最初のゲージ長さまでの範囲である
。このグラフから面積が計算され、この面積を後にＡ２
として参照する。
その後に、弛緩した応力対歪みのグラフによる面積の、
伸長した位置までの伸長の応力対歪みのグラフによる面
積に対する比率、Ａ２　／ＡＩを求め、この比率Ａ２　
／ＡＩを、以下、弛緩対伸長の面積比として参照する。
第一基準によって、衛生ナプキン２０のテストされた構
成部材は、この弛緩対伸長の面積比の値が約０．　６に
等しいか、又は、この値より大きい場合には、弾力的に
伸びるものとされる。より好ましいのは、このテストさ
れた構成部材の弛緩対伸長の面積比の値が約０゜７５に
等しいか、又は、この値より大きい値を示すことである
。テストされた構成部材は、このような構成部材が衛生
ナプキン２０に、弾力的な伸びの軸線が長手方向に少な
くとも１０度のベクトルの構成部材を有するように取り
付けられた場合に、弾力的に横方向に伸びるものであり
、本発明の特許請求の意図及び範囲の内にあるものとさ
れる。
この弛緩対伸長の面積比の値が約０．６より小さくなる
のは、恐らく、そして代表的な場合には、テスト時に、
衛生ナプキン２０の構成部材に、引裂き、切断、又は意
図しない経験、過大な永久変形、若しくは、塑性変形が
発生した場合であり、このような衛生ナプキン２０の構
成部材は、本発明の特許請求の意図及び範囲には入らな
いものである。
第二の基準は、弾力的な伸びを求めるために、剥離紙を
除去し、既に説明したように一体な形として完全な衛生
ナプキン２０を使用する。必要に応じて、露出された感
圧接着剤４０は、既に説明したようにブロックすること
ができる。
その後に、テストされる衛生ナプキン２０を引張り試験
機のジョーに、既に説明したように取り付けられる。衛
生ナプキン２０のフラップのうちの１枚のフラップ２８
が、この衛生ナプキン２０の長手方向の縁３０から延び
ている場合には、各フラップ２８が引張り試験機のジョ
ーに取り付けられ、このフラップ２８の取付けは、テス
トを実施する時に、ジョーがフラップ２８を引く動作を
妨げないために必要なほぼ最少の距離を保持するように
行われる。衛生ナプキン２０のフラップ２８のうちに、
衛生ナプキンの長手方向の縁３０から延びるフラップ２
８がない場合には、各フラップ２８が引張り試験機のジ
ョーに挿入される。
衛生ナプキン２０のフラップのうち、衛生ナプキンの長
手方向の縁３０から延びるフラップ２８が１枚である場
合には、このフラップ２８と、これに対向する長手方向
の縁３０とが、引張り試験機のジョーの中に挿入される
。ゲージ長さは、上述の全ての組合せに対して、通常の
場合、約１２．７センチメードルにするのが好ましいが
、この長さは必要不可欠なものではない。
衛生ナプキン２０は、引張り試験機の引張りの方向に対
して平行な姿勢になるように取り付けるすべきである。
ジョーの最初の位置は既に説明したように求められる。
代替的なテストは、引張り試験機の引張りの方向に平行
な衛生ナプキン２０の横方向のベクトルの分力を約１０
度以上にして行うことができる。
その後に、衛生ナプキン２０のテストが行われるが、こ
の時のジう−の引張り速度が毎分約１００センチメート
ルの一定の速度であり、このジョーの引張りが約１５パ
ーセント（試験片の最初の長さの１．１５倍）に達する
まで行われ、この時の引張り荷重が記録され、ジョーが
このジョーの最初に位置に戻される。この手順は、衛生
ナプキン２０が２巡するように反復される。
第二の基準によって、テストされた衛生ナプキン２０は
、何れかのテストサイクルの、約１５パーセントの引張
りで得られた引張り荷重が約９００グラム、又は、それ
未満であり、テストされた衛生ナプキン２０が最初の長
さの約５パーセント以内に戻った場合、すなわち、衣服
が約５パーセントを越えて伸長する場合には、弾力的に
伸びるものであり、本発明の特許請求を行う意図に添い
、特許請求の範囲に入るものであるとされる。より好ま
しいのは、衛生ナプキン２０が、１５パーセントの引張
りによって得られた引張り荷重として約７５０グラム未
満の値を示すであり、最も好ましいのは、衛生ナプキン
２０が、上述の引張り荷重として約７５０グラム未満の
値を示すことである。しかしながら、衛生ナプキン２０
の横方向の安定性を与えるためには、上述の引張り荷重
として得られた値が約２５グラム未満であることが要求
される。
材料が弾力的に伸びるものである場合には、この材料は
弾性材料であり、ニット、又は織布の形にすることによ
って弾力性を与えることができる。
このフラップ２８の全体を弾力的に横に伸びるものにす
ることができ、又は、このようにする代りに、このフラ
ップ２８だけを弾力的に横に伸びるようにすることもで
きる。フラップ２８の遠方側端部３８が、無６１重で、
約０．５センチメートル以上後退した位置から、弾力的
に横に伸びることができる形状ならば、この形状は適当
なものであり、本発明の特許請求を行う意図に添い、特
許請求の範囲に入るものである。
第２図に戻って説明すれば、フラップ２８は、好ましく
は、無荷重で、約０，５センチメートルないし約５．０
センチメートルの範囲内で後退した位置から、弾力的に
横に伸びることができるものである。このフラップ２８
は、約９００グラム未満の引張り力を受けた時、好まし
くは約７５０グラム未満の引張り力を受けた時、最も好
ましくは約５００グラム未満の引張り力を受けた時に、
に約２５パーセント伸長するようにすべきである。
しかしながら、２５グラム以上の引張り力を得ることは
要求される。この衣類は、横方向の安定性の程度が良く
、衛生ナプキン２０の構成部材の偶発的な横ずれを防止
することができる。
必要に応じて、バックシート２４又はフラップ２８のう
ち、その何れか一方を柔軟な布状材料で作り、その他方
のバックシート２４又はフラップ２８を異なる材料で作
ることができ、この材料をフラップ２８の近いほうの縁
に沿って結合させる。
好ましくは、製造を容易にするために、バックシート２
４とフラップ２８とを、弾力的に横に伸びる材料で作る
ことができる。しかしながら、フラップ２８を弾力的に
横に伸びるようにするか、又は、バックシート２４を弾
力的に横に伸びるようにすることができるが、フラップ
２８を比較的短くし、又は全体として横方向に伸びない
ものにすれば、バックシート２４の横方向の伸びが、バ
ックシート２４又はフラップ２８を、吸収コア２６又は
トップシート２２に結合することによって拘束されない
ようにしなければならない。
従来から公知のように、第２図に示した形態に非常に類
似した形態は、一体構造であって共伸長を行うフラップ
２８及びトップシート２２を有する。このトップシート
２２は弾力的に伸びることができる任意の材料、例えば
、弾力的に伸びるように形成されたフィルム、又は不織
布で作られている。
このような構造にする代りに、他の実施形態（図示せず
）において、トップシート２２とバックシート２４とを
、概ね共伸長性を有し、弾力的に横に伸びることができ
るものとし、これらを結合させることによって、２層積
層材を有する積層フラップ２８を提供することができる
。第１図、及び、第２図に示した実施形態を選択する場
合には、トップシート２２とバックシート２４とをほぼ
同じ弾力性を有するものにすべきであり、このようにし
ない場合には、積層材のばね定数を大きくし、全体とし
ての伸長性を小さくして、積層フラップ２８を制御する
。
第３図に戻って説明すれば、第二の形態では、フラップ
２８は、このフラップ２８に平行に走る長手方向のひだ
４２を設け、好ましくは、フラップ２８の近いほうの縁
と衛生ナプキン２０の中央部との結合部に、このフラッ
プ２８の近いほうの端部に平行に走る長手方向のひだ４
２を設けることによって、弾力的に横に伸びるように作
られる。
この長手方向に走るひだ４２は、フラップ２８を、後退
した位置から、充分に伸長する位置まで、長手方向に伸
長させることができる。
長手方向に走る戻り用のスプリング４４が設けられてお
り、このスプリング４４は、長手方向に走るひだ４２に
、フラップ２８を弾力的に横に伸長させる作用をさせる
。このスプリング４４は、長手方向に対して対角線的に
作動するが、スプリング４４の主な方向を、長手方向と
並ぶ姿勢にするのが好ましい。直線的な形の弾力的に伸
びる紐状部材をスプリング４４のために選択する場合に
は、この紐状部材をバックシート２４の外側を向いてい
る而の各端部に接谷結合し、この紐状部材の一方の端部
を衛生ナプキン２０の中央部に結合し、この紐状部材の
他方の端部をフラップ２８に結合することができる。こ
の状態を第４図に示す。
また、さらに、この図に示すように、弾力的に横方向に
伸びるフラップ２８をトップシート２２を用いて作るす
ることもできる。スプリング４４の接管結合は、好まし
くは、モデル番号Ｈ２Ｏ３１の接着剤を用いて実施する
ことができる。この接着剤は、フィントレー・ドヘッシ
プ・カンパニ（米国ライスコンシン州オオーワトーサ）
が製造している。
第５図を参照して説明すれば、ひだ４２′は１つ以上の
アコーデオン形の折り口部４２′を備え、このアコーデ
オン形の折り口部４２′は、バックシート２４の中央部
を外側方向に伸長するフラップ２８に結合する。このア
コーデオン形の折り口部４２′はフラップ２８の長手方
向の伸長を増大させるための装置を形成する。また、ス
プリング４４′は、１つ以上の折り口部の中に挿入され
、かつ、この折り口部に結合され、バックシート２４の
外側を向いている面には結合されない構造によって、ア
コーデオン形の折り口部４２′を拡げる作用を行い、こ
の構造によって、スプリング４４′は、フラップ２８を
偏位させて、無荷重の、後退した位置に戻す作用をする
。
このような構造にする代りに、直線的な弾力的に伸びる
紐状部材を、スプリング４４のほぼ全長に亘って、バッ
クシート２４の外側を向いている面に結合する前に、こ
の紐状部材に予め張力を加えることができる。このよう
な形状によって、弾力を有する紐状部材を、ｉの後退し
た位置に接触させて、バックシート２４に皺を発生させ
ることができる。また、必要に応じて、このような形態
の場合に、予め張力が加えられた弾力を有するスプリン
グ４４を、バックシート２４の内側を向いている面、又
は、トップシート２２の内側を向いている面に使用する
ことができる。このスプリング４４の使用は、このスプ
リング４４が、衛生ナプキン２０の中央部からフラップ
２８の中に伸長している時である。スプリング４４をト
ップシート２２の外側を向いている面に配置せず、バッ
クシート２４が着用者の皮膚に接触しないようにするこ
とは好ましいことである。
さらに、他の形態においては、スプリング４４はひだ４
２を拡げることができる。このひだ４２は、その端部が
各ひだ４２に結合されており、バックシート２４には結
合されていない。この衣類の場合には、各スプリング４
４の偏位力は、対向するスプリング４４に直接作用して
、両フラップ２８を後退した位置に戻す作用を行う。
第６図を参照して説明すれば、この図に示す衛生ナプキ
ン２０は本発明に基づくものであり、既に説明したこと
の他に、この衛生ナプキン２０には、この衛生ナプキン
２０の長手方向の縁３ｏに結合されて長手方向に伸長す
るフラップ２８がない。このような形態は、衛生ナプキ
ン２０を着用者の下着の長手方向の中実軸線の両側に取
り付けるための、１つ以上の装置、好ましくは、感圧接
着剤４０′を有する。第７図に示すように、このような
衛生ナプキン２０は、さらに、衛生ナプキン２０を着用
者の下着に結合させるための、感圧接着剤４０′又は他
の装置を、長手方向に弾力的に伸長させるための装置を
有する。特に、このような形態は、ウヌクに対して付与
された米国特許第４，４７６．１８０号に記載されてい
る、既に参照したフィルム状の材料を用いて作った弾力
的に横に伸びるバックシート２４を有する。
このような衛生ナプキン２０を着用者の下着に取り付け
るための好ましい装置は、感圧接着剤４０′を塗布した
２つの紐状部を備え、この各組状部は長手方向の中実軸
線を有し、この各組状部の長手方向の中実軸線は、衛生
ナプキン２０の長手方向の軸線３４から約１ないし２セ
ンチメートル長手方向に偏位している。ここに使用する
「接着剤の長手方向の中実軸線」という用語は、感圧接
着剤４０′の紐状部の中のほぼ中央にあり、かつ、この
感圧接む剤の長手方向の６縁３０から等距＃１ＩＩＩＩ
Ｉれている線を意味している。この感圧接着剤の２つの
紐状部の長手方向の幅は約１０ないし１５センチメート
ルにするのが好ましい。既に注意を喚起しであるように
、感圧接着剤４０′は、連続的な形、間欠的な形、又は
、既に公知の好ましいと思われる任意の形状を用いて使
用することができる。
衛生ナプキン２０を着用者の下着に結合させるための、
感圧接着剤４０′又は他の装置を、長手方向に弾力的に
伸長させるための特に好ましい装置は、バックシート２
４を提供し、このバックシート２４は長手方向に弾力的
に伸長するものである。既に注意を喚起したように、特
に好ましい衛生ナプキン２０、及び、特にバックシート
２４は、１５パーセントの引張りによって約９００グラ
ム未満の引張り荷重を得るものであり、より好ましくは
約７５０グラム未満の引張り荷重を得るものであり、最
も好ましくは約５００グラム未満の引張り荷重を得るも
のである。しかしながら、既に注意を喚起したように、
得られる引張り荷重が約２５グラム以上ならば、好まし
いものであり、感圧接着剤４０′の中心線を、既に説明
したパラメータに基づいて、約０．５センチメートル以
上、長手方向に弾力的に伸長させることができる。
バックシート２４は弾力的に長手方向に伸長させること
ができるものである。このようにバックシート２４を弾
力的に長手方向に伸長させることは、バックシート２４
それ自体を、弾力性のあるものにするという方法と、弾
力性のある材料で作り、又は、ニット、又は織布で作る
形状にして、弾性反発力を得ると共に回復させるという
方法とによって可能である。代替的に、バックシート２
４を弾力の比較的小さい材料で作るが、既に説明したよ
うに弾力を有するスプリング４４を用いて弾力性を与え
ることもできる。
以上説明した形態は、改めて説明するまでもなく、幾種
類かの変更を加えることが可能である。
例えば、バックシート２４、又はフラップ２８を、２軸
線方向の弾力を有する材料で作って、長手方向と横方向
に伸長させることは具現可能である。
また、長手方向と横方向に伸長させることができる対角
線状の構成部材を有するバックシート２４、又はフラッ
プ２８も具現可能である。弾力的に伸長可能の方向性を
有する構成部材を横方向にする任意の姿勢は適当であり
、しかしながら、既に注意を喚起したように、横方向に
ほぼ一致する姿勢は一般的に好ましいものである。
以上説明した形態は、組み合せて、長手方向に走るひだ
４２１、Ｚ形に折り曲げられ、もしくはアコーデオンに
折り曲げられたひだ４２、及び、このようなひだ４２、
又は折曲げ部を有するバックシート２４を作ることがで
きる。これらの変更は、全て、本発明の概念と特許請求
の範囲に含まれるものである。
【図面の簡単な説明】
第１図は後退した位置に２枚のフラップを有する、本発
明に基づく衛生ナプキンの上面図、第２図はフラップが
横に拡がった位置にある状態にある、第１図の衛生ナプ
キンの上面図、第３図はフラップの近いほうの端部を有
し、このフラップの近いほうの端部が、Ｚ形に折り曲げ
られた部分と、このＺ形に折り曲げられた部分を拡げる
直線的な弾力を有するスプリングとによって衛生ナプキ
ンに取り付けられる、本発明に基づく衛生ナプキンの第
二の形態の、部分的に破断した状態で示す底面図、第４
図は第３図の衛生ナプキンの線４−４に沿った垂直断面
図、第５図はフラップの近いほうの端部を有し、このフ
ラップの近いほうの端部が、アコーデオンの形に折り曲
げられた部分と、このアコーデオンの形に折り曲げられ
た部分に挿入されたスプリングとによって、衛生ナプキ
ンに取り付けられる、本発明に基づく衛生ナプキンの第
三の形態の垂直断面図、第６図は後退した位置に２本の
紐状部材を有する、本発明に基づく衛生ナプキンの第二
の形態の底面図、第７図は第６図の衛生ナプキンの、紐
状部材が横に拡げられた状態の底面図である。 ２０・・・衛生ナプキン、２２・・・透液性トップシー
ト、２４・・・非透液性バックシート、２６・・・吸収
コア、２８・・・フラップ、３０・・・衛生ナプキンの
長手方向の縁、３２・・・横の縁、３４・・・長手方向
の軸線、３６・・・近いほうの端部、３８・・・フラッ
プ２８の遠方側端部、４０・・・衛生ナプキンを着用者
の下着に取り付けるための装置、４２．４０’・・・ひ
だ、又はアコーデオン形の折り口部、４４．４４’　・
・・スプリング。

Claims (15)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. １．相互に直交する長手方向の軸線と横方向の軸線と、
    ２つの離間している長手方向の縁とを有し、着用者の下
    着に取り付けることができる衛生ナプキンであり、前記
    衛生ナプキンが、透液性トップシートと、非透液性バッ
    クシートと、前記トップシートとバックシートとの間に
    介在する吸収コアと、衛生ナプキンを着用者の下着に取
    り付けるための装置とを備え、前記衛生ナプキンを着用
    者の下着に取り付けるための装置が、横方向に弾力的に
    伸長し得る面に結合されて成る衛生ナプキン。
  2. ２．相互に直交する長手方向の軸線と横方向の軸線と、
    ２つの離間した長手方向の縁とを有する衛生ナプキンで
    あり、前記衛生ナプキンが、透液性トップシートと、非
    透液性バックシートと、前記トップシートとバックシー
    トとの間に介在する吸収コアと、衛生ナプキンから外側
    方向に延びている１つ以上のフラップとを備え、前記フ
    ラップが横方向に弾力的に伸長可能である衛生ナプキン
    。
  3. ３．相互に直交する長手方向の軸線と横方向の軸線と、
    ２つの離間した長手方向の縁とを有する衛生ナプキンで
    あり、前記衛生ナプキンが、透液性トップシートと、非
    透液性バックシートと、前記トップシートとバックシー
    トとの間に介在する吸収コアと、衛生ナプキンから外側
    方向に延びている１つ以上のフラップとを備え、前記フ
    ラップが近いほうの端部を有し、前記近いほうの端部で
    前記１つ以上の前記バックシート及び前記トップシート
    に結合され、前記フラップが遠方側の縁を有し、前記遠
    方側の縁が前記フラップの前記長手方向の軸線から最も
    遠い部分にあり、前記１つ以上の前記バックシート及び
    前記トップシートの前記１つ以上の部分が横方向に弾力
    的に伸長可能であり、これによって、前記フラップの遠
    方側の縁が前記横方向から横方向外側に弾力的に伸長可
    能である衛生ナプキン。
  4. ４．相互に直交する長手方向の軸線と横方向の軸線と、
    ２つの離間した長手方向の縁とを有する衛生ナプキンで
    あり、前記衛生ナプキンが、透液性トップシートと、非
    透液性バックシートと、前記トップシートとバックシー
    トとの間に介在する吸収コアと、前記１つ以上の前記バ
    ックシート及び前記トップシートに結合された１つ以上
    のフラップとを備え、前記フラップが近いほうの端部を
    有し、前記近いほうの端部で前記１つ以上の前記バック
    シート及び前記トップシートに結合され、長手方向に延
    びて近いほうの縁が前記中央部に結合されるひだと、方
    向性を有し横方向に延びた構成部材を有する１つ以上の
    スプリングとを備え、前記方向性を有し横方向に延びた
    構成部材が前記ひだを拡げ、これによって、前記フラッ
    プが横方向に弾力的に伸長可能である衛生ナプキン。
  5. ５．相互に直交する長手方向の軸線と横方向の軸線とを
    有し、着用者の下着に取り付けることができる衛生ナプ
    キンであり、前記衛生ナプキンが、透液性トップシート
    と、非透液性バックシートとを備え、前記バックシート
    の１つ以上の部分が横方向に弾力的に伸長可能であり、
    前記衛生ナプキンが前記バックシートを着用者の下着に
    取り付けるための装置を備え、前記バックシートを着用
    者の下着に取り付けるための前記装置が長手方向の軸線
    から横方向に偏位し、前記衛生ナプキンが前記トップシ
    ートと前記バックシートとの間に介在する吸収コアを備
    えて成る衛生ナプキン。
  6. ６．２つのフラップを有し、一方のフラップが前記各横
    方向の縁と、前記フラップの前記近いほうの縁の間に介
    在する中央部とに結合され、前記１つ以上のトップシー
    ト及びバックシートが前記中央部の幅のほぼ全体に亘っ
    て横方向に弾力的に伸長可能の材料で作られて成る請求
    項３に記載の衛生ナプキン。 ことを特徴とする。
  7. ７．前記横方向に延びたスプリングがほぼ直線的な弾力
    性を有する紐状部材であり、前記紐状部材が２つの端部
    を有し、前記一方の端部が前記フラップに結合され、前
    記他方の端部が前記衛生ナプキンの、前記フラップが横
    方向に延びている部分の内側の部分に結合されて成る請
    求項４に記載の衛生ナプキン。
  8. ８．前記スプリングが前記横方向の軸線にほぼ平行な姿
    勢を有して成る請求項７に記載の衛生ナプキン。
  9. ９．前記フラップが長手方向に弾力的に伸長し得る請求
    項２又は３に記載の衛生ナプキン。
  10. １０．前記バックシートが長手方向に弾力的に伸長し得
    る請求項４に記載の衛生ナプキン。
  11. １１．前記衛生ナプキンを着用者の下着に取り付けるた
    めの装置が接着剤の２つの紐状部材を備え、前記接着剤
    の一方の紐状部材が長手方向の軸線の各側部に配置され
    、前記接着剤の１つ以上の紐状部材が、前記バックシー
    トの、長手方向の軸線から横方向に延びた部分の中に配
    置されて成る請求項５に記載の衛生ナプキン。
  12. １２．前記衛生ナプキンの約１５パーセントの横方向の
    伸びによって得られる引張り力が約９００グラム未満で
    あり、前記衛生ナプキンが最初の長さの約５パーセント
    以内の回復を行う請求項１、２、３、４、又は５の何れ
    かに記載の衛生ナプキン。
  13. １３．前記得られる引張り力が約２５グラム以上、約７
    ５０グラム未満である請求項１２に記載の衛生ナプキン
    。
  14. １４．前記得られる引張り力が約５００グラム未満であ
    る請求項１３に記載の衛生ナプキン。
  15. １５．前記フラップの遠方側の端部が約０．５センチメ
    ートル以上横方向に弾力的に伸長し得る請求項２、３、
    又は４の何れかに記載の衛生ナプキン。
