【発明の詳細な説明】
〔産業上の利用分野〕
本発明は清浄性、耐焼付性がともに優れた2サイクルエ
ンジン用潤滑油組成物に関する。

2サイクルエンジンの潤滑方式には、潤滑油を混合した
燃料をエンジン内に供給する混合供給方式と、燃料とは
別のタンクに入れた潤滑油をオイルポンプにより供給す
る分離供給方式とがあり、いずれの場合も潤滑油はエン
ジン内に供給され潤滑を行った後燃焼する。したがって
、2サイクルエンジン用潤滑油には耐焼付性、清浄性に
優れていること、及び燃焼して排気煙を出さないことが
要求される。
燃料をエンジン内に供給する混合供給方式と、燃料とは
別のタンクに入れた潤滑油をオイルポンプにより供給す
る分離供給方式とがあり、いずれの場合も潤滑油はエン
ジン内に供給され潤滑を行った後燃焼する。したがって
、2サイクルエンジン用潤滑油には耐焼付性、清浄性に
優れていること、及び燃焼して排気煙を出さないことが
要求される。
従来、2サイクルエンジン用潤滑油組成物としては、鉱
油やポリブテンと灯油等の軟質分を配合したものを主成
分とするものが知られている(例えば、特公昭57−3
4317号公報、特開昭54−160401号公報など
)、シかしながら、鉱油を主とするものは清浄性が悪く
、ポリブテンを主とするものは耐焼付性が低いという問
題があった。また、鉱油とポリブテンの混合物を使用し
たものについては何れの性能も不十分であった。
油やポリブテンと灯油等の軟質分を配合したものを主成
分とするものが知られている(例えば、特公昭57−3
4317号公報、特開昭54−160401号公報など
)、シかしながら、鉱油を主とするものは清浄性が悪く
、ポリブテンを主とするものは耐焼付性が低いという問
題があった。また、鉱油とポリブテンの混合物を使用し
たものについては何れの性能も不十分であった。
本発明は、前記の従来技術の問題点を解消した清浄性及
び耐焼付性が共に優れた、排気煙の少ない2サイクルエ
ンジン用潤滑油組成物を捉供することを目的とする。

本発明の2サイクルエンジン用潤滑油組成物は、(A)
エチレンとα−オレフィンとの共重合体及び炭素数6〜
18のα−オレフィンの重合体から選ばれる少なくとも
1種の重合体40〜90重景%、(B)100℃の動粘
度が2〜600cStのポリブテン0〜50重量%、(
C)沸点300℃以下の炭化水素系溶剤5〜50重量%
及び(D)2サイクルエンジン用添加剤2〜20重量%
からなる混合物を主成分とするものである。

本発明の(A)の重合体のうちのエチレンとα−オレフ
ィンとの共重合体(A、成分)としては100℃の動粘
度が好ましくは2〜600cSt、さらに好ましくは3
〜300cStのものが用いられる。100℃の動粘度
が2cSt未満のものでは耐焼付性が十分でなく、6’
0OcStを超えるものでは清浄性が低下することがあ
る。このエチレンとα−オレフィンとの共重合体は、エ
チレンと炭素数3〜20のα−オレフィン、例えばプロ
ピレン、1−ブテン、l−デセンなどとの共重合体であ
って、極性基を含まない炭化水素系合成油が好ましく用
いられる。

このような重合体としては各種のものが用いられるが、
例えばα−オレフィンを原料として、チーグラー触媒を
用いる方法、ラジカル重合による方法、塩化アルミニウ
ム触媒を用いる方法、フ・ノ化ホウ素とアルコールから
なる触媒を用いる方法など様々な方法によって重合(特
に低重合)あるいは共重合して得られる二量体以上のオ
リゴマーを主成分とするポリ−α−オレフィンが好適に
使用される。この原料のα−オレフィン(即ちポリ−α
−オレフィンの構成単位)としては、炭素数6〜18、
好ましくは8〜12の範囲のα−オレフィンが用いられ
る。具体的には、l−オクテン、1−ノネン、1−デセ
ン、1−ウンデセン、1−ドデセンなどから選ばれる一
種又は二種以上を使用する。特に好ましくは1−オクテ
ン、1−ノネン、l−デセン、1−ドデセンである。
例えばα−オレフィンを原料として、チーグラー触媒を
用いる方法、ラジカル重合による方法、塩化アルミニウ
ム触媒を用いる方法、フ・ノ化ホウ素とアルコールから
なる触媒を用いる方法など様々な方法によって重合(特
に低重合)あるいは共重合して得られる二量体以上のオ
リゴマーを主成分とするポリ−α−オレフィンが好適に
使用される。この原料のα−オレフィン(即ちポリ−α
−オレフィンの構成単位)としては、炭素数6〜18、
好ましくは8〜12の範囲のα−オレフィンが用いられ
る。具体的には、l−オクテン、1−ノネン、1−デセ
ン、1−ウンデセン、1−ドデセンなどから選ばれる一
種又は二種以上を使用する。特に好ましくは1−オクテ
ン、1−ノネン、l−デセン、1−ドデセンである。
なお、A!酸成分100℃の動粘度が2cSt未満のも
のでは、耐焼付性が十分でなく、また600cStを超
えるものでは清浄性が低下することがある。

本発明の混合物において、A成分の含量が40重量%未
満であると耐焼付性が悪くなり、一方90重量%を超え
ると他の成分の配合量が著しく少なくなり、好ましくな
い。A成分の好ましい含有量は50〜85重量%である

B成分のポリブテンは100℃の動粘度が2〜600c
Stのものが用いられる。このポリブテンは必ずしも必
須成分ではなく50ffi量%以下用いられ、清浄性を
さらに向上させる効果を有している。50重景%を超え
て使用すると耐焼付性が低下する。したがって、B成分
の特に好ましい配合量は5〜40重量%である。

C成分の炭化水素系溶剤としては、常圧における沸点が
300℃以下である石油系又は合成系の炭化水素溶剤が
用いられる。石油系炭化水素溶剤としてはガソリン、灯
油、軽油等が挙げられ、合成系炭化水素溶剤としてはプ
ロピレン、ブテン等の2〜6量体等が挙げられる。これ
らの中では、ブテン低重合体からなる合成系炭化水素溶
剤が耐焼付性を向上させる効果が大きいことから特に好
適に用いられる。
300℃以下である石油系又は合成系の炭化水素溶剤が
用いられる。石油系炭化水素溶剤としてはガソリン、灯
油、軽油等が挙げられ、合成系炭化水素溶剤としてはプ
ロピレン、ブテン等の2〜6量体等が挙げられる。これ
らの中では、ブテン低重合体からなる合成系炭化水素溶
剤が耐焼付性を向上させる効果が大きいことから特に好
適に用いられる。
この炭化水素系溶剤の含有量が5重量%未満であると清
浄性が悪くなり、50重量%を超えると耐焼付性が低下
する。

D成分の2サイクルエンジン用添加剤としては一般に2
サイクルエンジン用潤滑油組成物に添加されている無灰
分散剤、界面活性剤、金属洗浄剤、流動点降下剤、さび
止め剤、あわ止め剤等を挙げることができ、本発明の目
的を妨げない範囲内で潤滑油組成物の特性を向上させる
ために添加される。
サイクルエンジン用潤滑油組成物に添加されている無灰
分散剤、界面活性剤、金属洗浄剤、流動点降下剤、さび
止め剤、あわ止め剤等を挙げることができ、本発明の目
的を妨げない範囲内で潤滑油組成物の特性を向上させる
ために添加される。
例えば、アルカリ土類金属スルホネート、アルカリ土類
金属フェネート、アルカリ土類金属フオスフォネート、
アルケニルコハク酸イミド、ベンジルアミン、テトラエ
チレンペンタミンと長鎖脂肪酸のアミド等を挙げること
ができる。

これらA−Dの成分を配合する際には、得られる潤滑油
組成物の100℃の動粘度が好ましくは5〜15cSt
、さらに好ましくは6〜12cstとなるように配向す
ることが望ましい。5cSt未満では耐焼付性が低下す
ることがあり、15cStを超えると分離給油システム
で使用する場合のミスト化が困難になることがある。

尚、本発明の潤滑油組成物には前記混合物のA〜B成分
の他に、本発明の目的に反しない限り、他の基油、例え
ば、エステル系合成油や鉱油を少量配合することができ
る。この場合は比較的低粘度(例えば100”Cで20
cSt以下)のものを少量配合するにとどめることが好
ましい。

以下、本発明を実施例に基づいて詳細に説明するが、本

表1及び表2に示す配合組成の2サイクルエンジン用潤
滑油を製造し、下記に示す評価方法により潤滑油の特性
を測定した。結果を表1及び表2に示す。

B ・3462に準拠したパネルコーキング法で評価し
た。その試験法は、パネル温度300℃1油温120℃
の条件下で、15秒スプラッシュ−45秒停止というサ
イクルを3時間運転し、パネル表面へのカーボン付着!
(mg)の多寡で評価するという方法である。

装置を用いて焼付に至る時間を測定した。

試験条件は、回転数290rpm、荷重700LbS、
ピン材質がアルミ合金、ブロック材質が標準試片(鋼)
である。ピン表面への被膜形成は、上記各供試消削にピ
ンを浸漬して塗布し、それを60秒間油切りすることに

- 【特許請求の範囲】 1、(A)エチレンとα−オレフィンとの共重合体及び
炭素数6〜18のα−オレフィンの重合体から選ばれる
少なくとも1種の重合体40〜90重量%、 (B)100℃の動粘度が2〜600cStのポリブテ
ン0〜50重量%、 (C)沸点300℃以下の炭化水素系溶剤5〜50重量
%及び (D)2サイクルエンジン用添加剤2〜20重量%から
なる混合物を主成分とする2サイクルエンジン用潤滑油
