Description
【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明は清浄性、耐焼付性がともに優れた2サイクル
エンジン用潤滑油組成物に関する。

2サイクルエンジンの潤滑方式には、潤滑油を混合し
た燃料をエンジン内に供給する混合供給方式と、燃料と
は別のタンクに入れた潤滑油をオイルポンプにより供給
する分離供給方式とがあり、いずれの場合も潤滑油はエ
ンジン内に供給され潤滑を行った後燃焼する。したがっ
て、2サイクルエンジン用潤滑油には耐焼付性、清浄性
に優れていること、及び燃焼して排気煙を出さないこと
が要求される。

従来、2サイクルエンジン用潤滑油組成物としては、
鉱油やポリブテンと灯油等の軟質分を配合したものを主
成分とするものが知られている(例えば、特公昭57−34
317号公報、特開昭54−160401号公報など)。しかしな
がら、鉱油を主とするものは清浄性が悪く、ポリブテン
を主とするものは耐焼付性が低いという問題があった。
また、鉱油とポリブテンの混合物を使用したものについ
ては何れの性能も不十分であった。
鉱油やポリブテンと灯油等の軟質分を配合したものを主
成分とするものが知られている(例えば、特公昭57−34
317号公報、特開昭54−160401号公報など)。しかしな
がら、鉱油を主とするものは清浄性が悪く、ポリブテン
を主とするものは耐焼付性が低いという問題があった。
また、鉱油とポリブテンの混合物を使用したものについ
ては何れの性能も不十分であった。
本発明は、前記の従来技術の問題点を解消した清浄性
及び耐焼付性が共に優れた、排気煙の少ない2サイクル
エンジン用潤滑油組成物を提供することを目的とする。

本発明の2サイクルエンジン用潤滑油組成物は、
(A)エチレンとα−オレフィンとの共重合体及び炭素
数6〜18のα−オレフィン重合体から選ばれる少なくと
も1種の重合体40〜90重量%、(B)100℃の動粘度が
2〜600cStのポリブテン0〜50重量%、(C)ブテンの
2〜6量体からなる沸点300℃以下の炭化水素形溶剤5
〜50重量%及び(D)2サイクルエンジン用添加剤2〜
20重量%からなる混合物を主成分とするものである。
(A)エチレンとα−オレフィンとの共重合体及び炭素
数6〜18のα−オレフィン重合体から選ばれる少なくと
も1種の重合体40〜90重量%、(B)100℃の動粘度が
2〜600cStのポリブテン0〜50重量%、(C)ブテンの
2〜6量体からなる沸点300℃以下の炭化水素形溶剤5
〜50重量%及び(D)2サイクルエンジン用添加剤2〜
20重量%からなる混合物を主成分とするものである。
本発明の(A)の重合体のうちのエチレンとα−オレ
フィンとの共重合体(A1成分)としては100℃の動粘度
が好ましくは2〜600cSt、さらに好ましくは3〜300cSt
のものが用いられる。100℃の動粘度が2cSt未満のもの
では耐焼付性が十分でなく、600cStを超えるものでは清
浄性が低下することがある。このエチレンとα−オレフ
ィンの共重合体は、エチレンと炭素数3〜20のα−オレ
フィン、例えばプロピレン、1−ブテン、1−デセンな
どとの共重合体であって、極性基を含まない炭化水素系
合成油が好ましく用いられる。
フィンとの共重合体(A1成分)としては100℃の動粘度
が好ましくは2〜600cSt、さらに好ましくは3〜300cSt
のものが用いられる。100℃の動粘度が2cSt未満のもの
では耐焼付性が十分でなく、600cStを超えるものでは清
浄性が低下することがある。このエチレンとα−オレフ
ィンの共重合体は、エチレンと炭素数3〜20のα−オレ
フィン、例えばプロピレン、1−ブテン、1−デセンな
どとの共重合体であって、極性基を含まない炭化水素系
合成油が好ましく用いられる。
(A)の重合体のうちの炭素数6〜18のα−オレフィ
ンの重合体(A2成分)としては、100℃の動粘度が好ま
しくは2〜600cSt、さらに好ましくは3〜300cStのもの
が用いられる。このような重合体としては各種のものが
用いられるが、例えばα−オレフィンを原料として、チ
ーグラー触媒を用いる方法、、ラジカル重合による方
法、塩化アルミニウム触媒を用いる方法、フッ化ホウ素
とアルコールからなる触媒を用いる方法など様々な方法
によって重合(特に低重合)あるいは共重合して得られ
る二量体以上のオリゴマーを主成分とするポリ−α−オ
レフィンが好適に使用される。この原料のα−オレフィ
ン(即ちポリ−α−オレフィンの構成単位)としては、
炭素数6〜18、好ましくは8〜12の範囲のα−オレフィ
ンが用いられる。具体的には、1−オクテン、1−ノネ
ン、1−デセン、1−ウンデセン、1−ドデセンなどか
ら選ばれる一種又は二種以上を使用する。特に好ましく
は1−オクテン、1−ノネン、1−デセン、1−ドデセ
ンである。

炭素数6〜18、好ましくは8〜12の範囲のα−オレフィ
ンが用いられる。具体的には、1−オクテン、1−ノネ
ン、1−デセン、1−ウンデセン、1−ドデセンなどか
ら選ばれる一種又は二種以上を使用する。特に好ましく
は1−オクテン、1−ノネン、1−デセン、1−ドデセ

なお、A2成分の100℃の動粘度が2cSt未満のもので
は、耐焼付性が十分でなく、また600cStを超えるもので
は清浄性が低下することがある。

本発明の混合物において、A成分の含量が40重量%未
満であると耐焼付性が悪くなり、一方90重量%を超える

B成分のポリブテンは100℃の動粘度が2〜600cStの

C成分の炭化水素性溶剤としては、ブテンの2〜6量
体からなる常圧における沸点が300℃以下の炭化水素性

D成分の2サイクルエンジン用添加剤としては一般に
2サイクルエンジン用潤滑油組成物に添加されている無
灰分散剤、界面活性剤、金属洗浄剤、流動点降下剤、さ
び止め剤、あわ止め剤等を挙げることができ、本発明の
目的を妨げない範囲内で潤滑油組成物の特性を向上させ
るために添加される。
2サイクルエンジン用潤滑油組成物に添加されている無
灰分散剤、界面活性剤、金属洗浄剤、流動点降下剤、さ
び止め剤、あわ止め剤等を挙げることができ、本発明の
目的を妨げない範囲内で潤滑油組成物の特性を向上させ
るために添加される。
例えば、アルカリ土類金属スルホネート、アルカリ土
類金属フェネート、アルカリ土類金属フォスフォネー
ト、アルケニルコハク酸イミド、ベンジルアミン、テト
ラエチレンペンタミンと長鎖脂肪酸のアミド等を挙げる
ことができる。

これらA〜Dの成分を配合する際には、得られる潤滑
油組成物の100℃の動粘度が好ましくは5〜15cSt、さら
に好ましくは6〜12cStとなるように配合することが望
ましい。5cSt未満では耐焼付性が低下することがあり、
15cStを超えると分離給油システムで使用する場合のミ
スト化が困難になることがある。

尚、本発明の潤滑油組成物には前記混合物のA〜D成
分の他に、本発明の目的に反しない限り、他の基油、例
えば、エステル系合成油や鉱油を少量配合することがで
きる。この場合は比較的低粘度(例えば100℃で20cSt以
下)のものを少量配合するにとどめることが好ましい。

潤滑油を製造し、下記に示す評価方法により潤滑油の特

評価方法 1.清浄性 Federal test method791B・3462に準拠したパネルコ
ーキング法で評価した。その試験法は、パネル温度300
℃、油温120℃の条件下で、15秒スプラッシュ−45秒停
止というサイクルを3時間運転し、パネル表面へのカー
ボン付着量(mg)の多寡で評価するという方法である。

2.耐焼付性 ASTM D 2625、2670のファレックス装置を用いて焼
付に至る時間を測定した。

に燃焼して排気煙を出さない極めて優れた特性を有して

- 【請求項1】(A)エチレンとα−オレフィンとの共重
合体及び炭素数6〜16のα−オレフィンの重合体から選
ばれる少なくとも1種の重合体40〜90重量%、(B)10
0℃の動粘度が2〜600cStのポリブテン0〜50重量%、
(C)ブテンの2〜6量体からなる沸点300℃以下の炭
化水素系溶剤5〜50重量%及び(D)2サイクルエンジ
ン用添加剤2〜20重量%からなる混合物を主成分とする
2サイクルエンジン用潤滑油組成物。
