Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は翼付針の新規な製造法に関する。さら
に詳しくは、高速連続生産が可能で製造コストの
低い翼付針の製造法に関する。
従来、翼付針は輸液などの分野においてしばし
ば使用されているが、その製造方法としては以下
に述べる2種類の方法が一般的である。すなわち
射出成形によつて成形した翼部に針とチユーブを
接着する方法及び射出成形の工程で針を金型にセ
ツトして翼部の成形と同時に針を固定し、次いで
チユーブを接着する方法である。しかしながら、
これらの方法にはいずれも射出成形工程や接着剤
による接着工程が含まれているため、高速連続生
産には適さない。すなわち、射出成形においては
成形サイクルを20秒以下にすることは実質的に困
難であり、また工程の一部に射出成形工程が含ま
れている場合には、全体を自動化することが困難
である。したがつて製造コストの低減に限界があ
つた。さらに射出成形には多額の設備投資が必要
であり、この点でも従来の方法はコスト的に不利
であつた。
本発明者は高周波加熱を利用した成形法を採用
することにより、従来技術の有するこれらの問題
点を解決し得ることを見出し、特願昭58−123646
号として先に特許出願を行なつた。そしてかかる
技術についてさらに検討を進めた結果、針を金型
にセツトする際に特定の位置関係にこれらを保持
した場合にのみ良好な製品が得られることを見い
出し、本発明に到達した。
すなわち本発明は、医療用針の基部を挿入した
合成樹脂製チユーブ体と翼部形成用合成樹脂を金
型にセツトし、高周波電流により合成樹脂を金型
中で加熱して翼部を形成せしめると共に針及びチ
ユーブ体と一体化させて翼付針を製造するに際し
針の基端部を金型側面よりも外側に位置させて高
周波用加熱を行なうことを特徴とする翼付針の製
造法である。
以下、本発明を図面に基づいて説明する。第1
図は本発明の一実施例において、成形前の針、チ
ユーブ体、翼部形成材料及び金型の配置状態を示
す斜視図である。図に示すようにチユーブ体2の
両側に翼部形成材料である合成樹脂製シート3,
3′を配置し、金型4,4′で両側より挾む。第2
図は成形直前における針1、チユーブ体2、シー
ト3及び金型4の状態を示す図であり、シート
3′及び金型4′は省略してある。図に示すよう
に、針1の基端部11は金型4の側面41よりも
外側に位置させる。このように位置させて高周波
加熱を行うことにより、良好な翼付針を能率よく
製造することができる。これに対して針の基端部
を金型内に位置させると、高周波加熱を実施した
ときにチユーブ体2が変形したり閉塞し、実用に
耐える製品を得ることができない。針基端部と金
型側面との距離は特に限定されるものではない
が、0.5〜10mm程度が好ましく使用される。針、
チユーブ体、シートを金型で両側より挾んだ後、
金型を電極として高周波電流を流すと、誘電損失
によりシート及びチユーブ体が加熱されて軟化及
至溶融して翼部が形成されると同時に翼部とチユ
ーブ体とが一体化する。針とチユーブ体との固定
は、翼部形成前後あるいは翼部形成時に針を一方
の電極としてチユーブ体を高周波加熱することに
より達成することができる。このときにも、針の
基端部はもう一方の電極となる金型の側面よりも
外側に位置させることが、チユーブ体を変形させ
たり閉塞させたりしないために好ましい。
第3図は、このようにして得られた翼付針の一
実施例を示す正面図である。
上述の例においては翼部形成材料として、合成
樹脂シートを2枚使用したが、1枚だけを使用し
てもよく、シート状以外の形状であつてもよい。
また加熱により硬化可能な液状樹脂を使用するこ
ともできる。翼部形成に好ましく使用される合成
樹脂としては、ポリ塩化ビニルおよびポリウレタ
ンをあげることができる。また、チユーブ体も合
成樹脂からなるが、ポリ塩化ビニルなどが一般的
に使用される。
本発明における高周波加熱の条件は、使用する
材料の種類、大きさなどにより大きく異なるので
適宜条件を選択する。また、使用に供する針の基
部は、チユーブ体との固定強度を向上させるため
に、表面コーテイングや表面の粗面化を行つたり
溝や突起を設けてもよい。さらに、金型は1個方
式であつても多数個方式であつてもよい。
本発明においては、翼部の形成及び針とチユー
ブ体との固定がすべて高周波加熱により行われ、
接着剤による接着や射出成形などの工程がないの
で、従来の方法にくらべて成形サイクルを大幅に
短縮でき、高速化、製造コストの低減が可能とな
る。また、工程全体にわたつての全自動化が初め
て可能となり、全自動化した場合にはこれらの効
果がきわめて顕著になる。
本発明の方法は、医療用途に使用されるあらゆ
る翼付針の製造に適用することができ、特にスカ
ルプ・ベインと呼ばれる翼付静注針の製造に好適
である。

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 1 医療用針の基部を挿入した合成樹脂製チユー
    ブ体と翼部形成用合成樹脂を金型にセツトし、高
    周波電流により合成樹脂を金型中で加熱して翼部
    を形成せしめると共に針及びチユーブ体と一体化
    させて翼付針を製造するに際し、針の基端部を金
    型側面よりも外側に位置させて高周波加熱を行な
    うことを特徴とする翼付針の製造法。 2 チユーブ体および翼部形成材料がポリ塩化ビ
    ニルである特許請求の範囲第1項記載の翼付針の
    製造法。
