Claims (4)
- トナーを用いてシートに画像を形成する画像形成部と、
前記画像形成部に補給する前記トナーを収容するトナー収容部と、前記トナー収容部内で前記トナーを前記画像形成部に向けて搬送するトナー搬送部と、を有するユニットと、
前記トナー搬送部が前記トナーを搬送するための駆動力を発生する駆動モーターと、
制御部と
を備え、
前記制御部は、
前記ユニットが新品であるか否かを判定する新品判定と、
前記新品判定で前記ユニットが新品であると判定した場合、前記駆動モーターの回転速度を示す情報に基づいて前記駆動モーターを制御する制御信号を生成する駆動処理と、
前記制御信号に基づいて、前記駆動モーターの動作を停止させるか否かを判定する判定処理と、を実行し、
前記新品判定で前記ユニットが新品でないと判定した場合、前記駆動処理と前記判定処理とを実行しない、画像形成装置。 - 前記トナー収容部が装着される装着部と、
前記装着部に前記トナー収容部が装着されているか否かを検出する検出部と
を更に備え、
前記トナー収容部は、前記装着部に着脱自在であり、
前記制御部は、前記装着部に前記トナー収容部が装着されたことに応じて、前記制御信号を生成して前記判定処理を実行する、請求項1に記載の画像形成装置。 - 前記制御部は、前記判定処理を、前記トナー収容部が前記装着部に装着されてから所定の時間の間、実行する、請求項2に記載の画像形成装置。
- ユーザーに情報を通知する通知部を更に備え、
前記制御部は、前記判定処理を実行して、前記駆動モーターの動作を停止させた場合、エラーメッセージを前記通知部に通知させる、請求項1から請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の画像形成装置。
