Description
[1] 格子定数が24.29Å以上であり、なおかつ、銅を含有するFAU型ゼオライト、を含む炭化水素吸着剤。
[2] 前記FAU型ゼオライトの平均結晶径が0.45μm以上である上記[1]に記載の炭化水素吸着剤。
[3] 前記銅の含有量が0.5重量%以上4.0重量%以下である上記[1]又は[2]に記載の炭化水素吸着剤。
[4] アルカリ金属含有量が酸化物換算で1重量%以下である上記[1]乃至[3]のいずれかひとつに記載の炭化水素吸着剤。
[5] 前記FAU型ゼオライトが、800℃以上1000℃以下の還元雰囲気への暴露処理後に400℃以上600℃以下の酸化雰囲気で暴露処理された後の状態で測定されるH2-TPR測定において、300℃以上500℃以下の温度にピークトップを有する水素消費ピークを有する上記[1]乃至[4]のいずれかひとつに記載の炭化水素吸着剤。
[6] 前記FAU型ゼオライトがESR測定において、スピン濃度が1.0×1019(spins/g)以上であり、磁場260mT以上270mT以下のピーク強度の磁場300mT以上320mT以下のピーク強度に対する割合が0.25以上0.50以下である上記[1]乃至[5]のいずれかひとつに記載の炭化水素吸着剤。
[7] 上記[1]乃至[6]のいずれかひとつに記載の炭化水素吸着剤を使用する炭化水素含有気体の処理方法。

本発明の実施態様において、FAU型ゼオライトは、高温の還元雰囲気下へ暴露された後に、高温の酸化雰囲気へ暴露された場合であっても、分散銅を有することが好ましく、800℃以上1000℃以下の還元雰囲気への暴露処理後に400℃以上600℃以下の酸化雰囲気で暴露処理した後の状態で測定されるH2-TPR測定において、分散銅ピークを有することがより好ましい。特に、FAU型ゼオライトは、以下の条件による、高温の還元雰囲気への暴露処理(以下、「高温還元処理」ともいう。)、次いで高温の酸化雰囲気への暴露処理(以下、「高温酸化処理」ともいう。)を経た後のH2-TPR測定において、分散銅ピークを有することが好ましい。

高温還元処理及び高温酸化処理後の分散銅ピークの存在は、これらの高温処理後も、銅が高度に分散した状態でFAU型ゼオライトに含有されていることを確認する指標となる。

ESRスペクトルの二回積分強度(以下、「スピン濃度」ともいう。)は試料中に存在する孤立した二価銅濃度に比例する。スピン濃度が高いことは高分散な二価銅を多く含んでいることを意味し、HCの吸着サイトが増えることで、吸着量が増加する。
上式において、W’Cuは銅(Cu)の含有量である。WAl、WSi、WNa及びWCuは、それぞれ、アルミニウム(Al)を酸化物換算(Al2O3)した重量、WSiはケイ素(Si)を酸化物換算(SiO2)した重量、WMはアルカリ金属(M)を酸化物換算(M2O)した重量、及び、WCuは銅を酸化物換算(CuO)した重量である。

本発明の実施態様において、炭化水素吸着剤は格子定数が24.29Å以上のFAU型ゼオライトに銅が含有できる方法であれば、任意の方法で製造することができる。

焼成工程は空気流通下で行うことが好ましく、流通させる空気は低含水率であることが好ましい。低含水率の空気中で焼成することで、銅と結晶構造の骨格を構成するアルミニウムとの相互作用が強くなる傾向があり、耐熱性が向上しやすくなる。流通させる空気の好ましい含水率としては0.7体積%以下、より好ましくは0.5体積%以下、更に好ましくは0.3体積%以下である。
一般的な走査型電子顕微鏡(装置名:JSM-6390LV型、日本電子社製)を使用し、以下の条件で試料を走査型電子顕微鏡(以下、「SEM」とする。)観察し、観察率5,000倍、及び、15,000倍で、それぞれ2視野、計4視野のSEM観察像を得た。得られたSEM観察像から、無作為に100個の一次粒子を抽出し、その水平フェレ径の平均値を求め、平均結晶径とした。
フッ酸と硝酸の混合水溶液に試料を溶解して試料溶液を調製した。一般的なICP装置(装置名:OPTIMA5300DV、PerkinElmer社製)を使用して、当該試料溶液を誘導結合プラズマ発光分光分析(ICP-AES)で測定し、得られた各元素の測定値から組成を求めた。
(炭化水素吸着率の測定)
炭化水素吸着剤を加圧成形及び粉砕した後、凝集径20~30メッシュの凝集粒子とした。当該凝集粒子0.1g常圧固定床流通式反応管に充填し、窒素流通下、500℃で1時間処理した後、50℃まで降温することにより前処理した。前処理後の炭化水素吸着剤に炭化水素含有気体を流通させ、炭化水素吸着率を測定した。

水素イオン化検出器(FID)を使用し、炭化水素吸着剤を通過した後のガス中の炭化水素を連続的に定量分析した。常圧固定床流通式反応管の入口側の炭化水素含有ガスの炭化水素濃度(メタン換算濃度;以下、「入口濃度」とする。)と、常圧固定床流通式反応管の出口側の炭化水素含有ガスの炭化水素濃度(メタン換算濃度;以下、「出口濃度」とする。)を測定した。
(還元水熱耐久処理)
前処理後の炭化水素吸着剤に以下の条件で処理ガスを流通させたこと以外は、(炭化水素吸着率の測定)と同様な方法で炭化水素吸着剤を処理し、還元水熱耐久処理とした。

実施例1
格子定数が24.53ÅであるFAU型ゼオライト10gと、硝酸銅水溶液4.58g(硝酸銅三水和物0.58g含有)と混合した後、空気中、110℃で一晩乾燥した。乾燥後のFAU型ゼオライトを含水率0.1体積%の空気流通中、550℃で2時間焼成することで銅含有FAU型ゼオライトを得、これを本実施例の炭化水素吸着剤とした。
格子定数が24.31ÅであるFAU型ゼオライトを使用したこと以外は実施例1と同様な方法で銅含有FAU型ゼオライトを得、これを本実施例の炭化水素吸着剤とした。
格子定数が24.52ÅであるFAU型ゼオライトを使用したこと、及び、硝酸銅水溶液(硝酸銅三水和物含有量0.98g)4.98gを使用したこと以外は実施例1と同様な方法で銅含有FAU型ゼオライトを得、これを本実施例の炭化水素吸着剤とした。
格子定数が24.52ÅであるFAU型ゼオライトを使用したこと、及び、硝酸銅水溶液(硝酸銅三水和物含有量0.38g)4.38gを使用したこと以外は実施例1と同様な方法で銅含有FAU型ゼオライトを得、これを本実施例の炭化水素吸着剤とした。
硝酸銅水溶液(硝酸銅三水和物含有量1.16g)5.16gを使用したこと以外は実施例1と同様な方法で銅含有FAU型ゼオライトを得、これを本実施例の炭化水素吸着剤とした。
格子定数が24.48ÅであるFAU型ゼオライトを使用したこと以外は実施例1と同様な方法で銅含有FAU型ゼオライトを得、これを本実施例の炭化水素吸着剤とした。

実施例8
格子定数が24.37ÅであるFAU型ゼオライトを使用したこと以外は実施例1と同
様な方法で銅含有FAU型ゼオライトを得、これを本実施例の炭化水素吸着剤とした。
格子定数が24.63ÅであるFAU型ゼオライトに50gに対して、20%塩化アンモニウム水溶液125gにてイオン交換、1Lの純水にて洗浄した後、110℃にて一晩乾燥させた。前記乾燥粉を60体積%水含有空気中、600℃で4時間、焼成した。前記焼成粉20gを1.6%塩酸100gに投入した後、60℃で1時間の加熱処理を行った。その後、1Lの純水で洗浄し、更に20%塩化アンモニウム600gにてイオン交換、1Lの純水にて洗浄し、24.55ÅのFAU型ゼオライトを得た。
格子定数が24.63ÅであるFAU型ゼオライトに50gに対して、10%塩化アンモニウム水溶液125gにてイオン交換、1Lの純水にて洗浄した後、110℃にて一晩乾燥させた。前記乾燥粉を60体積%水含有空気中、740℃で2時間、焼成した。前記焼成粉20gを1.6%塩酸100gに投入した後、60℃で1時間の加熱処理を行った後、1Lの純水で洗浄し、24.50ÅのFAU型ゼオライトを得た。
格子定数が24.63ÅであるFAU型ゼオライトに50gに対して、10%塩化アンモニウム水溶液50gにてイオン交換、1Lの純水にて洗浄した後、110℃にて一晩乾燥させた。前記乾燥粉を60体積%水含有空気中、600℃で4時間、焼成した。前記焼成粉20gを1.6%塩酸100gに投入した後、60℃で1時間の加熱処理を行った。その後、1Lの純水で洗浄し、更に20%塩化アンモニウム600gにてイオン交換、1Lの純水にて洗浄し、24.60ÅのFAU型ゼオライトを得た。
格子定数が24.52ÅであるFAU型ゼオライトを使用したこと、及び、硝酸銅水溶液(硝酸銅三水和物含有量2.00g)6.00gを使用したこと以外は実施例1と同様な方法で銅含有FAU型ゼオライトを得、これを本実施例の炭化水素吸着剤とした。
格子定数が24.53ÅであるFAU型ゼオライトを本比較例の炭化水素吸着剤とした。得られた銅含有FAU型ゼオライトは格子定数が24.53Å、SiO2/Al2O3比が7.4、銅含有量が0重量%、ナトリウム含有量が0.09重量%、及び、平均結晶径が0.81μmであった。
格子定数が24.25ÅであるFAU型ゼオライトを使用したこと以外は実施例1と同様な方法で銅含有FAU型ゼオライトを得、これを本比較例の炭化水素吸着剤とした。
格子定数が24.28ÅであるFAU型ゼオライトを使用したこと以外は実施例1と同様な方法で銅含有FAU型ゼオライトを得、これを本比較例の炭化水素吸着剤とした。
MFI型ゼオライトを使用したこと、及び、硝酸銅水溶液(硝酸銅三水和物含有量0.58g)4.58gを使用したこと以外は実施例1と同様な方法で銅含有MFI型ゼオライトを得、これを本比較例の炭化水素吸着剤とした。
BEA型ゼオライトを使用したこと、及び、硝酸銅水溶液(硝酸銅三水和物含有量0.58g)4.58gを使用したこと以外は実施例1と同様な方法で銅含有BEA型ゼオライトを得、これを本比較例の炭化水素吸着剤とした。
MFI型ゼオライト15gを硝酸銀水溶液(硝酸銀濃度3.2重量%)135gに添加し、撹拌しながら60℃で一晩混合することでイオン交換した。イオン交換後のMFI型ゼオライトを濾過、洗浄、及び、空気中110℃で一晩乾燥することで銀含有MFI型ゼオライトを得、これを本比較例の炭化水素吸着剤とした。
格子定数が24.26ÅであるFAU型ゼオライトを使用したこと、及び、硝酸銅水溶液(硝酸銅三水和物含有量0.98g)4.98gを使用したこと以外は実施例1と同様な方法で銅含有FAU型ゼオライトを得、これを本比較例の炭化水素吸着剤とした。
実施例1、実施例2、並びに、比較例1乃至3の炭化水素吸着剤を、それぞれ、還元水熱耐久処理した。還元水熱耐久処理後の各炭化水素吸着剤の炭化水素吸着率を測定した。結果を下表に示す。
実施例3乃至5、及び実施例11の炭化水素吸着剤を、それぞれ、還元水熱耐久処理した。還元水熱耐久処理後の各炭化水素吸着剤の炭化水素吸着率を測定した。測定例1の実施例1の結果と合わせ、結果を下表及び図3に示す。
実施例6乃至8の炭化水素吸着剤を、それぞれ、還元水熱耐久処理した。還元水熱耐久処理後の各炭化水素吸着剤の炭化水素吸着率を測定した。測定例1の比較例3の結果と合わせ、結果を下表に示す。
比較例4乃至6の炭化水素吸着剤を、それぞれ、還元水熱耐久処理した。還元水熱耐久処理後の各炭化水素吸着剤の炭化水素吸着率を測定した。測定例1の実施例4の結果と合わせ、結果を下表に示す。
実施例1、実施例2、実施例3、実施例6、実施例8、比較例3及び比較例6の炭化水素吸着剤を、それぞれ、酸化水熱耐久処理した。酸化水熱耐久処理後の各炭化水素吸着剤の炭化水素吸着率を測定した。結果を下表に示す。
実施例9、実施例10、及び参考例の炭化水素吸着剤を、それぞれ、酸化水熱耐久処理した。酸化水熱耐久処理後の各炭化水素吸着剤の炭化水素吸着率を測定した。結果を下表に示す。
実施例1及び比較例3の炭化水素吸着剤を、それぞれ、加圧成形及び粉砕した後、凝集径12~20メッシュの凝集粒子とした。当該凝集粒子を、それぞれ、0.3gを秤量し、高温還元処理した後、高温酸化処理した。高温還元処理及び高温酸化処理の条件は以下の通りである。
処理温度 900℃
処理時間 0.5時間
高温酸化処理 : 処理雰囲気 大気雰囲気
処理温度 500℃
処理時間 1時間
処理後の各炭化水素吸着剤を前処理した後、H2-TPR測定した。前処理及びH2-TPRの条件を以下に示し、実施例1の結果を図4に、比較例3の結果を図5に示す。
処理温度 300℃
処理時間 0.5時間
H2-TPR : 雰囲気 水素5体積%含有空気
昇温速度 10℃/時間
測定温度 100℃~700℃
図4及び5より、高温還元処理及び高温酸化処理を経た後において、実施例1の炭化水素吸着剤は400℃付近にピークトップを有する水素消費ピークが確認できるのに対し、比較例3の炭化水素吸着剤は、300℃以上にピークトップを有する水素消費ピークが確認できなかった。
実施例1、実施例3、実施例5、実施例11、及び比較例7の炭化水素吸着剤について、以下の条件にてESR測定を行った。
マイクロ波周波数:9.4GHz
観測範囲 :200~400mT
磁場変調 :100kHz
レスポンス :0.3sec.
磁場掃引時間 :4min.
マイクロ波出力 :1.0mW
サンプル(炭化水素吸着剤)は、それぞれ粉末10mgを直径5mmの石英管に充填し、400℃で5時間乾燥した後、封管した。
Claims (7)
- 格子定数が24.29Å以上24.51Å以下であり、なおかつ、二価の銅を含有し、前記銅の含有量が0.5重量%以上4.0重量%以下であるFAU型ゼオライト、を含む炭化水素吸着剤。
- 前記FAU型ゼオライトの平均結晶径が0.45μm以上である請求項1に記載の炭化水素吸着剤。
- 前記FAU型ゼオライトのアルミナに対するシリカのモル比が1.25以上50.0以下である請求項1又は2に記載の炭化水素吸着剤。
- アルカリ金属含有量が酸化物換算で1重量%以下である請求項1乃至3のいずれか一項に記載の炭化水素吸着剤。
- 前記FAU型ゼオライトが、800℃以上1000℃以下の還元雰囲気への暴露処理後に400℃以上600℃以下の酸化雰囲気で暴露処理された後の状態で測定されるH2-TPR測定において、300℃以上500℃以下の温度にピークトップを有する水素消費ピークを有する請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項に記載の炭化水素吸着剤。
- 前記FAU型ゼオライトがESR測定において、スピン濃度が1.0×1019(spins/g)以上であり、磁場260mT以上270mT以下のピーク強度の磁場300mT以上320mT以下のピーク強度に対する割合が0.25以上0.50以下である請求項1乃至5のいずれか一項に記載の炭化水素吸着剤。
- 請求項1乃至6のいずれか一項に記載の炭化水素吸着剤を使用する炭化水素含有気体の処理方法。
