清潔な容器にポリオール成分を充填する。撹拌を開始し、バッチ手順全体を通して継続する。水を除く残りのすべての成分を、順次追加する。容器内の成分を、少なくとも30分間ブレンドする。ブレンドの試料を取り出し、カールフィッシャー滴定を介して水分含有量を試験する。計算した量の水を容器に添加して、所望の水位を達成する。次いで、ブレンドを最低30分間撹拌する。下記の表1および表2に示すように、ポリオールブレンドの実施例1~14は、このプロトコルに基づいて作製される。表1は、ポリオールブレンドの実施例1~8を対象としたグループAを示す。表2は、ポリオールブレンドの実施例9~14を対象としたグループBを示す。グループBは、ポリオールD(Pluracol(登録商標)2097ポリオール)またはポリオールE(Pluracol(登録商標)4156ポリオール)を含有していない。
イソシアネート官能性ウレタンプレポリマーの実施例
PMDI(Lupranate(登録商標)M20)を清潔な反応容器の中に添加する。撹拌を開始し、作業全体を通して継続する。反応容器を、約57~約63℃に加熱する。次いで、溶融したMMDI(Lupranate(登録商標)M)を、容器に添加する。次いで、ポリオールを約30分間にわたって一定速度で添加し、反応混合物の温度を監視し、約80℃を超えないように制御する。反応を約77~約83℃で約1時間進行させ、次いで約25~約40℃に冷却し、最終分析用にサンプリングする。品質管理の承認を受けて、プレポリマー生成物を、50ミクロンのフィルタを使用して輸送用容器に移す。下記の表3に示すように、プレポリマーの実施例1~4は、上記のプロトコルに基づいて作製される。
フォームの実施例
ドリルプレスを2340~3100rpmの速度に設定し、混合タイマーを10~25秒に設定する。離型剤を、約35~60℃に加熱したアルミニウムブロック型に塗布する。試験ブロック型の典型的なサイズは、12インチx12インチx0.5インチ(30.5cm×30.5cm×1.3cm)または12インチ×12インチ×0.25インチ(30.5cm×30.5cm×0.6cm)である。所定の量のイソシアネート反応性成分(樹脂)を混合カップに量り入れ、所定の量のイソシアネート成分(ISO)を第2の混合カップに量り入れる。プレポリマーを、樹脂を含有するカップに注ぎ込む。次いで、混合ブレードを、混合カップの中に沈め、ミキサーを始動させる。設定時間で混合した後、反応フォームを混合カップから型に注ぎ込み、型を閉鎖する。約4~約7分後、型を開放し、フォームブロックを取り出す。下記の表4および表5に示すように、エラストマーポリウレタンフォームの実施例1~17は、上記のプロトコルに基づいて作製される。Pluracol(登録商標)1062ポリオールまたはPluracol(登録商標)593ポリオールのみで作製されたフォームは、非常に乏しい特性を有しており、場合によっては、フォームが上昇するほど十分に安定していないこともある。
Claims (39)
- 改善された高温圧縮永久歪み値を有するエラストマーポリウレタンフォームであって、
(a)モノマージフェニルメタンジイソシアネート(MMDI)またはポリマーMDI(PMDI)を含む1つ以上のプレポリマー、およびポリエーテルジオールに由来するイソシアネート官能性ウレタンプレポリマーと、
(b)イソシアネート反応性成分であって、
(i)前記イソシアネート反応性成分の10~70重量部の量の第1のポリオールであって、前記第1のポリオールが、1000g/モル~9000g/モルの数平均分子量を有するプロピレンオキシドまたはエチレンオキシドでキャップされた公称ジオールである、第1のポリオール、
(ii)前記イソシアネート反応性成分の0~50重量部の量の第2のポリオールであって、前記第2のポリオールが、1000g/モル~8000g/モルの数平均分子量を有するランダムに分散した高比率のエトキシ基を有する公称トリオールである、第2のポリオール、
(iii)前記イソシアネート反応性成分の0~20重量部の量の第3のポリオールであって、前記第3のポリオールが、250g/モル~6000g/モルの数平均分子量を有するエチレンオキシドでキャップされた公称テトラオールである、第3のポリオール、および
(iv)前記イソシアネート反応性成分の0~80重量部の量の第4のポリオールであって、前記第4のポリオールが、1000g/モル~13000g/モルの数平均分子量を有するエチレンオキシドまたはプロピレンオキシドでキャップされた公称トリオールである、第4のポリオール、を含み、
前記第2のポリオールが、15~40重量部の前記イソシアネート反応性成分を含み、
成分(ii)、(iii)、および(iv)が、0重量部を超えて存在する、イソシアネート反応性成分と、を含む成分の反応生成物を含むエラストマーポリウレタンフォーム。 - 前記第1のポリオールが、30~70重量部の前記イソシアネート反応性成分を含む、請求項1に記載のエラストマーポリウレタンフォーム。
- 前記第1のポリオールが、35~65重量部の前記イソシアネート反応性成分を含む、請求項1に記載のエラストマーポリウレタンフォーム。
- 前記第3のポリオールが、前記イソシアネート反応性成分の0~15重量部の量である、請求項1に記載のエラストマーポリウレタンフォーム。
- 前記第3のポリオールが、前記イソシアネート反応性成分の0~10重量部の量である、請求項1に記載のエラストマーポリウレタンフォーム。
- 前記第4のポリオールが、前記イソシアネート反応性成分の0~30重量部の量である、請求項1に記載のエラストマーポリウレタンフォーム。
- 前記第4のポリオールが、前記イソシアネート反応性成分の0~15重量部の量である、請求項1に記載のエラストマーポリウレタンフォーム。
- 前記第1のポリオールが、6000g/モルの数平均分子量および1.5~2.0の官能性を有する、請求項1に記載のエラストマーポリウレタンフォーム。
- 前記第2のポリオールが、3600g/モルの数平均分子量および2.8~3.0の官能性を有する、請求項1に記載のエラストマーポリウレタンフォーム。
- 前記第3のポリオールが、5250g/モルの数平均分子量および3.5~5.0の官能性を有する、請求項1に記載のエラストマーポリウレタンフォーム。
- 前記第4のポリオールが、2800~6000g/モルの数平均分子量および2.1~3.0の官能性を有する、請求項1に記載のエラストマーポリウレタンフォーム。
- 前記イソシアネート反応性成分が、前記イソシアネート反応性成分の1~30重量部の量の添加剤パッケージをさらに含み、前記添加剤パッケージが、発泡剤、触媒、着色剤、染料、顔料、架橋剤、難燃剤、希釈剤、溶剤、無機充填剤、酸化防止剤、紫外線安定剤、殺生物剤、接着促進剤、帯電防止剤、離型剤、香料、およびそれらの任意の組み合わせ、から選択される成分を含む、請求項1に記載のエラストマーポリウレタンフォーム。
- 前記イソシアネート反応性成分が、前記イソシアネート反応性成分の0~5重量部の量の界面活性剤をさらに含む、請求項1に記載のエラストマーポリウレタンフォーム。
- 前記界面活性剤が、非加水分解性シリコーングリコールコポリマーである、請求項13に記載のエラストマーポリウレタンフォーム。
- 前記イソシアネート反応性成分が、前記イソシアネート反応性成分の0~10重量部の量の鎖延長剤をさらに含む、請求項1に記載のエラストマーポリウレタンフォーム。
- 前記鎖延長剤が、1,4-ブタンジオールである、請求項15に記載のエラストマーポリウレタンフォーム。
- 前記イソシアネート反応性成分が、前記イソシアネート反応性成分の0.1~4重量部の量の化学的発泡剤をさらに含む、請求項1に記載のエラストマーポリウレタンフォーム。
- 前記化学的発泡剤が、水である、請求項17に記載のエラストマーポリウレタンフォーム。
- 前記イソシアネート反応性成分が、前記イソシアネート反応性成分の0~12重量部の量の物理的発泡剤をさらに含む、請求項1に記載のエラストマーポリウレタンフォーム。
- 前記物理的発泡剤が、HCFO-1233zd(E)である、請求項19に記載のエラストマーポリウレタンフォーム。
- 前記イソシアネート官能性ウレタンプレポリマーにおいて、前記MMDIが、20~70部の量である、請求項1に記載のエラストマーポリウレタンフォーム。
- 前記イソシアネート官能性ウレタンプレポリマーにおいて、前記PMDIが、20~70部の量である、請求項1に記載のエラストマーポリウレタンフォーム。
- 前記イソシアネート官能性ウレタンプレポリマーにおいて、前記ポリエーテルジオールが、5~30部の量である、請求項1に記載のエラストマーポリウレタンフォーム。
- 前記MMDIが、少なくとも97重量%の4,4’-MDIである、請求項1に記載のエラストマーポリウレタンフォーム。
- 前記PMDIが、25℃で150~850cpsの粘度および30~32.5のパーセントNCOを有する、請求項1に記載のエラストマーポリウレタンフォーム。
- 前記ポリエーテルジオールが、425g/モルの数平均分子量および1.75~2.0の官能性、または6000g/モルの数平均分子量および1.5~2.0の官能性を有する、請求項1に記載のエラストマーポリウレタンフォーム。
- ASTM D3574による30%~50%たわみでのフォームの圧縮永久歪み値が、フォーム試料が70℃~150℃で22~100時間圧縮されたとき、40%未満である、請求項1に記載のエラストマーポリウレタンフォーム。
- ASTM D3574による30%~50%たわみでのフォームの一定たわみ圧縮永久歪み値が、フォーム試料が100℃~130℃で22~100時間圧縮されたとき、40%未満である、請求項1に記載のエラストマーポリウレタンフォーム。

- エラストマーポリウレタンフォームを形成する方法であって、前記方法が、
(a)プレポリマーをポリエーテルジオールと反応させて、イソシアネート官能性ウレタンプレポリマーを形成するステップであって、前記プレポリマーが、MMDIおよび/またはPMDIを含む、形成するステップと、
(b)少なくとも第1のポリオール、第2のポリオール、第3のポリオール、および第4のポリオールをブレンドして、イソシアネート反応性成分を形成するステップと、
(c)前記イソシアネート官能性ウレタンプレポリマーとイソシアネート反応性成分とを100イソシアネート指数~110イソシアネート指数で混合して、エラストマーポリウレタンフォームを形成するステップと、を含み、
前記第1のポリオールが、10~70重量部の前記イソシアネート反応性成分を含む、1000g/モル~9000g/モルの数平均分子量を有するプロピレンオキシドまたはエチレンオキシドでキャップされた公称ジオールであり、
前記第2のポリオールが、1000g/モル~8000g/モルの数平均分子量を有するランダムに分散した高比率のエトキシを有し、0~50重量部の前記イソシアネート反応性成分を含む公称トリオールであり、
前記第3のポリオールが、250g/モル~6000g/モルの数平均分子量を有するエチレンオキシドでキャップされた公称テトラオールであり、0~15重量部の前記イソシアネート反応性成分を含み、
前記第4のポリオールが、1000g/モルおよび13000g/モルの数平均分子量を有するエチレンオキシドまたはプロピレンオキシドでキャップされた公称トリオールであり、0~80重量部の前記イソシアネート反応性成分を含み、
前記第2のポリオールが、15~40重量部の前記イソシアネート反応性成分を含み、
第2のポリオール、第3のポリオール及び第4のポリオールが、0重量部を超えて存在する、
方法。 - 添加剤パッケージを1~30重量部の前記イソシアネート反応性成分とブレンドすることをさらに含み、前記添加剤パッケージが、発泡剤、触媒、着色剤、無機充填剤、酸化防止剤、およびそれらの任意の組み合わせ、から選択される成分を含む、請求項38に記載の方法。
