Description
図1は、第1の実施形態に係る発光放射線遮蔽体100の構成を示す断面図である。なお、図1では、発光放射線遮蔽体100の形状が、放射線1に面する遮蔽体線源側表面100fおよび遮蔽体反線源側表面100rを有する平板状の場合を例にとって示しているが、これに限定されない。曲面状の場合、あるいは、厚みに変化がある場合であってもよい。すなわち、原子炉、加速器施設、RI中性子源施設、核燃料施設、核燃料貯蔵施設、核シェルター、あるいは、医療分野での重粒子線施設、BNCT(中性子補足療法)施設など、放射線遮蔽を必要とする施設にあって、その遮蔽の目的に合った形状を有することでよい。なお、前述のように、以下、X線とγ線をまとめてγ線と表記する。
密度: 7332kg/m3
X線吸収係数: 7240m-1 (at 6.0KeV)
3380m-1 (at 8.0KeV)
屈折率: 2.22 (at 633nm)
マイクロビッカース硬度: 4420MPa (荷重 1.0kg)
線膨張係数: 8.8×10-6/℃ (at 23℃~385℃)
熱伝導率: 13.5W/(m・K) (at 29℃)
電気伝導率: 4.68×10-13Q-1・m-1
比熱: 0.287 (at 30℃)
図8は、第2の実施形態に係る発光放射線遮蔽体の構成を示す断面図である。
本実施形態は、第1の実施形態の変形である。すなわち、本実施形態に係る発光放射線遮蔽体100aは、遮蔽部5として、第1の実施形態と同様のコンクリート遮蔽部10を有するが、さらに樹脂状遮蔽部20を有する。
以上、本発明の実施形態を説明したが、実施形態は、例として提示したものであり、発明の範囲を限定することは意図していない。
Claims (9)
- 入射する放射線を減衰させる発光放射線遮蔽体であって、
この発光放射線遮蔽体は、コンクリートまたはモルタルからなるコンクリート遮蔽部を有し、
このコンクリート遮蔽部は、賦活剤を添加したガドリニウム化合物である骨材とセメント部から構成され、
前記賦活剤は前記ガドリニウム化合物を母材として前記放射線によって発光する、
ことを特徴とする発光放射線遮蔽体。 - 前記遮蔽部は、透明樹脂とともに形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の発光放射線遮蔽体。
- 前記遮蔽部は、γ線および低エネルギー中性子を対象とすることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の発光放射線遮蔽体。
- 前記ガドリニウム化合物は、酸化ガドリニウム、ガドリニウムガリウムガーネット、酸硫化ガドリニウムおよびケイ酸ガドリニウムの少なくともいずれか一つを含むことを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項3のいずれか一項に記載の発光放射線遮蔽体。
- 前記賦活剤は、希土類元素を含むことを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項4のいずれか一項に記載の発光放射線遮蔽体。
- 前記希土類元素は、テルビウム、プラセオジム、ユウロピウム、およびセリウムの少なくともいずれか一つを含むことを特徴とする請求項5に記載の発光放射線遮蔽体。
- 前記ガドリニウム化合物および前記賦活剤を、これらの焼結体として有することを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項6のいずれか一項に記載の発光放射線遮蔽体。
- 前記透明樹脂の一部は、前記放射線の入射側に配されている、もしくは前記遮蔽部の密度を傾斜させ低密度部分が入射側に配されている、
ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の発光放射線遮蔽体。 - 入射する放射線によって発光する賦活剤を添加したガドリニウム化合物を透明樹脂で形成し、前記入射する放射線を減衰させる樹脂状遮蔽部の製造方法であって、
前記ガドリニウム化合物と前記賦活剤とを有する骨材と樹脂とを容器内で混合するステップと、
密度の大きい前記骨材を沈降させ、骨材保有層と樹脂層とに分離するステップと、
を有することを特徴とする樹脂状遮蔽部の製造方法。
