Description
- 第1の基板に第1の電極、フレネルレンズ構造体および第1の配向層を提供するステップと、
- プレチルトを第1の配向層に単一配向方向において適用するステップと、
- 第2の基板に第2の電極およびさらなる配向層を提供するステップ、およびプレチルトをさらなる配向層に、プレチルトが、第1および第2の基板のアセンブリ後に第1の配向方向に対して逆平行であるような方向において適用するステップと、
- 第1の配向層とさらなる配向層との間にアセンブリにより形成されるスペースが、前記液晶材料で満たされるように、第1および第2の基板を組み立てるステップおよび液晶材料を提供するステップとが行われる。
- 第1の基板に光透過性の第1の電極層(8)および第1の電極層に隣接する回折光学構造体(4)を提供するステップであって、前記回折光学構造体は、フレネルレンズ構造体の中心に第1の傾斜表面(11)を備えるフレネルレンズ構造体であり、それは、複数の角度のさらなる傾斜表面によって取り囲まれ、その第1およびさらなる傾斜表面は各々、第1の電極層(8)に対してある傾斜角を有する、ステップと、

Claims (30)
- 第1の光学デバイスおよび第2の光学デバイスのスタックを備える偏光無依存の調節可能なレンズにおいて、少なくとも前記第1の光学デバイスは、
- 第1の電極層(8)、及び、
- 前記第1の電極層(8)からある距離(d)に提供される第2の電極層(9)であって、前記第1および第2の電極層(8、9)は、光透過性である、第2の電極層(9)、並びに、
前記第1の電極層(8)と前記第2の電極層(9)との間に、
- 前記第1の電極層(8)に隣接しかつフレネルレンズ構造体の中心に第1の傾斜表面(11)を備える前記フレネルレンズ構造体である回折光学構造体(4)であって、複数の角度のさらなる傾斜表面によって取り囲まれ、第1およびさらなる傾斜表面は各々、前記第1の電極層(8)に対してある傾斜角を有し、第1の配向層でカバーされる、回折光学構造体(4)、
- 前記第2の電極層(9)に隣接してスペース(7)の側に配置されるさらなる配向層、及び、
- 前記第1およびさらなる傾斜表面上の前記第1の配向層と前記第2の電極層(9)に隣接する前記さらなる配向層との間の前記スペース(7)を満たしかつオフ状態において垂直方向に整列する液晶分子(10)を備える液晶材料(11)、
を備え、
前記第1の配向層との界面における前記液晶分子(10)は、単一の配向方向(12)にプレチルト角(α)を有し、前記さらなる配向層は、前記配向方向に対して逆平行な方向における配向のために前処理されており、前記プレチルト角(α)は、前記傾斜角よりも大きく、それとともに、前記液晶材料内の前記液晶分子(Np)の前記第1の電極層(8)への投影(Npxy)が、60度の範囲(θ)内の前記配向方向(12)に対して横方向の角度を含むように、オン状態において整列するように前記液晶分子(10)を向けることによって前記第1の傾斜表面およびさらなる傾斜表面の前記傾斜角を補償する、偏光無依存の調節可能なレンズ。 - 前記プレチルト角(α)は、前記プレチルト角(α)が前記配向方向から45度の範囲内で選択されることによって前記傾斜を補償する、請求項1に記載の調節可能なレンズ。
- 前記プレチルト角(α)は、前記プレチルト角(α)が前記配向方向から30度の範囲内で選択されることによって前記傾斜を補償する、請求項2に記載の調節可能なレンズ。
- 前記プレチルト角(α)は、前記第1の光学デバイスにわたって実質的に均一である、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の調節可能なレンズ。
- 傾斜表面上の前記第1の配向層は、少なくとも1つの内側セグメントおよび外側セグメントにセグメント化され、前記内側および外側セグメントは、前記配向方向と整列し、前記外側セグメントは、少なくとも1つの内側セグメントのそれよりも大きいプレチルト角(α)を有する、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の調節可能なレンズ。
- 前記複数の角度のさらなる傾斜表面は各々、前記第1の電極層から突き出ているブレーズから延び、前記ブレーズはさらに、前記第1の電極層(8)に対して実質的に横方向に延びる側壁を有し、前記第1の配向層(8)は、前記ブレーズの前記側壁が、自由に保たれ、配向層のないままであるように、定義済みのパターンに従って提供される、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の調節可能なレンズ。
- 前記第1の電極層(8)は、前記第2の電極層(9)に対して実質的に平行に延びる、請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の調節可能なレンズ。
- 複数のスペーサ(5)が、前記第1およびさらなる傾斜表面と前記第2の電極層(9)との間に提供される、請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載の調節可能なレンズ。
- 前記第2の光学デバイスは、前記第1の光学デバイスと同一である、請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の調節可能なレンズ。
- 前記第2の光学デバイスは、偏光子である、請求項1から9のいずれか一項に記載の調節可能なレンズ。
- 前記第1の光学デバイスは、0~+4の範囲内の屈折度数を有する、請求項1から10のいずれか一項に記載の調節可能なレンズ。
- 前記第1の光学デバイスは、+0.5~+3.0の範囲内の屈折度数を有する、請求項11に記載の調節可能なレンズ。
- 前記第1の光学デバイスは、+1.0~+2.5の範囲内の屈折度数を有する、請求項12に記載の調節可能なレンズ。
- 前記第1の光学デバイスは、15mm~35mmの範囲内の直径を有する、請求項1から13のいずれか一項に記載の調節可能なレンズ。
- 前記第1の光学デバイスは、20mm~30mmの範囲内の直径を有する、請求項14に記載の調節可能なレンズ。
- 請求項1から15のいずれか一項に記載の調節可能なレンズを備える眼鏡。
- 請求項1から15のいずれか一項に記載の調節可能なレンズを製造する方法において、前記方法はプレチルト角(α)の適用を含み、これにより、前記第1の配向層との界面における前記液晶分子(10)が、単一配向方向(12)に前記プレチルト角(α)を有し、前記プレチルト角(α)は、前記傾斜角よりも大きく、それとともに、前記液晶材料内の前記液晶分子(Np)の前記第1の電極層(8)への投影(Npxy)が、60度の範囲(θ)内の前記単一配向方向(12)に対して横方向の角度を含むように、オン状態において整列するように前記液晶分子(10)を向けることによって前記少なくとも1つの傾斜表面の前記傾斜角を補償する、方法。
- 前記プレチルト角(α)の適用のステップは、前記第1の光学デバイスを前記単一配向方向にラビングするステップおよび/または感光性配向材料を使用するステップを含む、請求項17に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の光学デバイスの前記製造は、
- 第1の基板に第1の電極層(8)、フレネルレンズ構造体および前記第1の配向層を提供するステップと、
- 前記プレチルト角(α)を前記第1の配向層に前記単一配向方向において適用するステップと、
- 第2の基板に前記第2の電極層(9)および前記さらなる配向層を提供するステップ、および、さらなるプレチルト角を前記さらなる配向層に前記単一配向方向に対して逆平行の方向において適用するステップと、
- 前記第1の配向層と前記さらなる配向層との間にアセンブリにより形成される前記スペース(7)が、前記液晶材料で満たされるように、前記第1および第2の基板を組み立てるステップおよび液晶材料を提供するステップと、
を備える、請求項17または18に記載の方法。 - - 第1の基板に光透過性の第1の電極層(8)および前記第1の電極層(8)に隣接する回折光学構造体(4)を提供するステップであって、前記回折光学構造体は、フレネルレンズ構造体の中心に第1の傾斜表面(11)を備える前記フレネルレンズ構造体であり、前記回折光学構造体は、複数の角度のさらなる傾斜表面によって取り囲まれ、前記第1およびさらなる傾斜表面は各々、前記第1の電極層(8)に対してある傾斜角を有する、ステップと、

- 第2の基板に光透過性の第2の電極層(9)および第2の定義済みのプレチルト角(α)をそれに隣接する液晶分子(10)に適用するように処理されたその上のさらなる配向層を提供するステップと、
- 前記少なくとも1つの配向層および前記さらなる配向層が互いに面する状態で、前記第2の電極層が、前記第1の電極層(8)からある距離(d)に提供されるように、前記第1および前記第2の基板を組み立てるステップ、および液晶材料で満たされるスペース(7)をそれらの間に創出するステップと、
を備え、
前記少なくとも1つの配向層の前記適用および/または処理は、異なる配向方向(12a、12b)および/または異なるプレチルト角(α)を有する複数のセグメントを提供するように構成される、光学デバイスを製造する方法。 - 第1の配向層および第2の配向層は、所定のパターンに従って前記第1およびさらなる傾斜表面上に適用され、前記第1の配向層および第2の配向層は、第1のセグメントおよび第2のセグメントに対応し、前記第1の配向層および前記第2の配向層は、異なるプレチルト角を有する、請求項20に記載の方法。
- 前記第1および前記第2の配向層は、感光性材料を備え、それは、前記異なるプレチルト角を規定するように照射によって処理される、請求項21に記載の方法。

- 前記第1のセグメントおよび前記第2のセグメントは、前記第1のセグメントが、前記第1の配向方向における前記フレネルレンズ構造体の中心の下流に位置する傾斜表面の第1の部分をカバーし、前記第2のセグメントが、前記第1の配向方向における前記中心の上流に位置する同じ傾斜表面の第2の部分をカバーするように配置される、請求項24に記載の方法。
- 前記第1および第2のセグメントは、内側セグメントであり、さらなる外側セグメントが、前記第1および前記第2のセグメントの各々に隣接して存在し、前記内側セグメントおよび外側セグメントは、前記第1の配向方向に対して平行に配置され、前記外側セグメントは、同じ配向方向および前記内側セグメントと異なるプレチルト角を有する、請求項25に記載の方法。
- 前記内側セグメントおよび外側セグメントは、前記第1の配向方向に対して平行な相互界面を有して配置される、請求項26に記載の方法。
- 前記複数の角度のさらなる傾斜表面は各々、前記第1の電極層(8)から突き出ているブレーズから延び、前記ブレーズはさらに、前記第1の電極層(8)に対して実質的に横方向に延びる側壁を有し、前記第1の配向層は、前記ブレーズの前記側壁が、自由に保たれ、配向層のないままであるように、定義済みのパターンに従って提供される、請求項21から27のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 請求項20から28のいずれか一項に記載の方法に従って得ることができる光学デバイス。
- 第1の光学デバイスおよび第2の光学デバイスのスタックを備える偏光無依存の調節可能なレンズであって、少なくとも前記第1の光学デバイスは、請求項20から28のいずれか一項に記載の方法に従って得ることができる、偏光無依存の調節可能なレンズ。
