Description
[2]本発明に係る一態様のランプユニットは、(a)車両に設置され、可変に設定される配光パターンによる光照射を行うためのランプユニットであって、(b)光源と、(c)前記光源から出射する光を集光する集光部と、(d)前記集光部により集光された光が入射する位置に配置された第1液晶素子及び第2液晶素子と、(e)前記第1液晶素子及び前記第2液晶素子を挟んで対向配置された一対の偏光板と、(f)前記第1液晶素子及び前記第2液晶素子を透過した光を前記車両周辺の空間に投影する投影レンズと、を含み、(g)前記第1液晶素子は、複数の第1光変調領域を有しており、(h)前記第2液晶素子は、各々が平面視で各前記第1光変調領域の何れかと隣接する複数の第2光変調領域を有しており、(i)各前記第1光変調領域は、平面視で各前記第2光変調領域側へ突出する複数の第1突出部を有しており、(j)各前記第2光変調領域は、平面視で各前記第1光変調領域側へ突出する複数の第2突出部を有しており、(k)各前記第1突出部と各前記第2突出部とは、平面視で1つずつ対をなして各々の少なくとも一部を重ねて配置されており、当該対をなす前記第1突出部と前記第2突出部の各々の間には隙間が設けられている、ランプユニットである。
[3]本発明に係る一態様の車両用灯具システムは、(a)車両周辺に対して、可変に設定される配光パターンによる光照射を行う車両用灯具システムであって、(b)上記ランプユニットと、(c)前記ランプユニットの動作を制御して前記配光パターンを可変に設定する制御部と、を含む、車両用灯具システムである。
Claims (7)
- 車両に設置され、可変に設定される配光パターンによる光照射を行うためのランプユニットであって、
光源と、
前記光源から出射する光を集光する集光部と、
前記集光部により集光された光が入射する位置に配置された第1液晶素子及び第2液晶素子と、
前記第1液晶素子及び前記第2液晶素子を挟んで対向配置された一対の偏光板と、
前記第1液晶素子及び前記第2液晶素子を透過した光を前記車両周辺の空間に投影する投影レンズと、
を含み、
前記第1液晶素子は、複数の第1光変調領域を有しており、
前記第2液晶素子は、各々が平面視で各前記第1光変調領域の何れかと隣接する複数の第2光変調領域を有しており、
各前記第1光変調領域は、平面視で各前記第2光変調領域側へ突出する複数の第1突出部を有しており、
各前記第2光変調領域は、平面視で各前記第1光変調領域側へ突出する複数の第2突出部を有しており、
各前記第1突出部と各前記第2突出部とは、平面視で一方向に沿って1つずつ交互に配置されており、隣り合う前記第1突出部と前記第2突出部の間の各々には隙間が設けられている、
ランプユニット。 - 車両に設置され、可変に設定される配光パターンによる光照射を行うためのランプユニットであって、
光源と、
前記光源から出射する光を集光する集光部と、
前記集光部により集光された光が入射する位置に配置された第1液晶素子及び第2液晶素子と、
前記第1液晶素子及び前記第2液晶素子を挟んで対向配置された一対の偏光板と、
前記第1液晶素子及び前記第2液晶素子を透過した光を前記車両周辺の空間に投影する投影レンズと、
を含み、
前記第1液晶素子は、複数の第1光変調領域を有しており、
前記第2液晶素子は、各々が平面視で各前記第1光変調領域の何れかと隣接する複数の第2光変調領域を有しており、
各前記第1光変調領域は、平面視で各前記第2光変調領域側へ突出する複数の第1突出部を有しており、
各前記第2光変調領域は、平面視で各前記第1光変調領域側へ突出する複数の第2突出部を有しており、
各前記第1突出部と各前記第2突出部とは、平面視で1つずつ対をなして各々の少なくとも一部を重ねて配置されており、当該対をなす前記第1突出部と前記第2突出部の各々の間には隙間が設けられている、
ランプユニット。 - 各前記第1突出部と各前記第2突出部は、各々の平面視形状が矩形状又は台形状である、
請求項1又は2に記載のランプユニット。 - 各前記第1突出部と各前記第2突出部は、各々の平面視形状が半円形状又は半楕円形状である、
請求項1又は2に記載のランプユニット。 - 各前記第1突出部と各前記第2突出部は、各々の平面視形状が三角形状、二等辺三角形状、直角三角形状又は多角形状である、
請求項1又は2に記載のランプユニット。 - 各前記第1光変調領域と各前記第2光変調領域は、各々、液晶層を含んで構成されており、
前記液晶層は、その初期配向が捻れネマティック配向モード、ハイブリッド配向モード、略垂直配向モード又はインプレーンスイッチング配向モードである、
請求項1~5の何れか1項に記載のランプユニット。 - 車両周辺に対して、可変に設定される配光パターンによる光照射を行う車両用灯具システムであって、
請求項1~6の何れか1項に記載のランプユニットと、
前記ランプユニットの動作を制御して前記配光パターンを可変に設定する制御部と、
を含む、車両用灯具システム。
