Description

Claims (6)
- 骨切削に使用される外科用バーであって、
回転軸に対して直交する、前記外科用バーの平坦な部分で、外科用バーの直径が最大であるところである、赤道と、
(i)第1のクリアランス面、および(ii)第1の骨切削刃を備えた第1のすくい面を含む、複数の主要切削溝と、
(i)第2のクリアランス面、および(ii)第2の骨切削刃を備えた第2のすくい面を含む複数の補助切削溝であって、前記複数の補助切削溝の少なくとも1つが、前記複数の主要溝の1対の隣り合う主要溝間に位置する、複数の補助切削溝と
を含み、
前記複数の補助切削溝が、前記赤道から遠位に延びており、前記外科用バーの近位端から前記外科用バーの遠位端に完全に延びておらず、
前記第1のすくい面により形成された前記第1の骨切削刃および前記第2のすくい面により形成された前記第2の骨切削刃が、骨を切削するように構成され、
前記第2のすくい面の各々が、安定化効果をもたらすように負のすくい角を画定し、
前記負のすくい角は、補助溝のすくい面が、外科用バーの遠位端で見たとき、すくい面の切れ刃上の最外点から回転軸を通って延びるそれぞれの平面に対して回転方向側に位置しているように規定されるすくい角である、
外科用バー。 - 前記複数の補助切削溝が、前記赤道の遠位にある、請求項1に記載の外科用バー。
- 前記第1の骨切削刃の少なくとも1つが、前記外科用バーの近位端から前記外科用バーの遠位端に延びる、請求項1に記載の外科用バー。
- 前記外科バーの前記遠位端での抗力を下げ、スピニング効率と切削効率を上げるために、前記複数の補助切削溝が、前記複数の主要切削溝により大きな逃げ角をもたらす、請求項1に記載の外科用バー。
- 前記外科用バーが、第1の主要切削溝および第2の主要切削溝、並びに第1の補助切削溝および第2の補助切削溝を備えたマッチヘッドスタイル外科用バーであり、前記第1および第2の補助切削溝が前記第1および第2の主要切削溝に2次逃げ面をもたらす、請求項4に記載の外科用バー。
- 第1の骨切削刃のそれぞれが、前記外科バーの回転軸に直交する、第1の外円の第1の最外点を定め、
第2の骨切削刃のそれぞれが、前記外科バーの回転軸に直交する、第2の内円の第2の最外点を定め、
前記第1の外円が前記第2の内円よりも大きく、前記第2の内円が前記第1の外円の内側にある、
請求項1に記載の外科用バー。
