Description

を用いて決定される。式中、Aは露出したフィルムの表面積であり、Iは電池全体の電流であり、ERは膜の電気抵抗であり、E´およびEは上述したとおりである。温度を線形増加させつつ膜のERを計測することによって、熱シャットダウンが決定された。熱シャットダウンは、ERが1000倍になる温度として定義される。通常、ERの1000倍の増加は、電池内の熱暴走を阻止するための電池セパレータ膜として十分である。ERの上昇は、膜の融解に起因する細孔構造の崩壊に対応する。
Claims (7)
- 乾式延伸法によって作られた微多孔ポリマーフィルムをエンボス加工することを備える方法によって作製されたエンボス微多孔膜であって、
前記エンボス微多孔膜は、ほぼ円形を有する複数の細孔を含み、
前記微多孔ポリマーフィルムは、0.5~5.0の縦方向(MD)引張強度対横方向(TD)引張強度の比を示し、
前記微多孔ポリマーフィルムは、PP/PE/PP構造を有する3層フィルムであり、
前記エンボス微多孔膜は、エンボス加工された領域およびエンボス加工されていない領域を有し、前記エンボス加工された領域は、前記エンボス加工されていない領域の厚さの30~75%の厚さを有する、エンボス微多孔膜。 - 前記PP層の少なくとも1つが、インパクトコポリマーポリプロピレンを備える、請求項1に記載の膜。
- 前記膜が、以下の特徴:
0.03ミクロン~0.50ミクロンの平均細孔径、
0.75~1.25のアスペクト比を有する細孔、
少なくとも175kg/cm2のTD引張強度、
少なくとも0.04ミクロンの平均流細孔径、
少なくとも0.06ミクロンのアクアポア径、
90℃で6.0%未満および120℃で15.0%未満のTD収縮、
ならびに
前記エンボス加工された領域において前記フィルムのTDに平行に走るエンボス横線、
のうちの1つ以上を有する、請求項1に記載の膜。 - 前記微多孔膜が、前記エンボス加工された微多孔フィルムの少なくとも片面に設けられた不織布をさらに備える、請求項1に記載の膜。
- 請求項1に記載の膜を備える電池セパレータ。
- 請求項1に記載の膜を備える布地。
- アノード、カソード、および前記アノードと前記カソードとの間に配置された電池セパレータを備え、前記セパレータが請求項5に記載の電池セパレータを含む電池。
