Description
第1排気管30は、タービンハウジング22(吐出通路部22b)の下流端25に接続されており、タービンハウジング22の下流端25から前方に延びている。第1排気管30にはタービンハウジング22から排気ガスが導入される。
第2排気管40は、第1排気管30の下流端に接続されており、第2排気管40には第1排気管30から排気ガスが導入される。
第3排気管50は、第2排気管40の下流端に接続されており、第3排気管50には第2排気管40から排気ガスが導入される。第3排気管50は、第2排気管40の下流端から後方に延びている。第3排気管50は、その上流側の部分を構成して第2排気管40が挿通される第1接続部51と、これよりも下流側の第2接続部52とからなる。第2排気管40の下端部は、第3排気管50の上流端部を構成する第1接続部51の内側に挿通された状態でこれに接続されている。
第4排気管60は、第3排気管50(第2接続部52)の下流端に接続されており、第4排気管60には、第3排気管50から排気ガスが導入される。第4排気管60は、その上流端が第3排気管50の下流端の内側に挿通された状態でこれに接続されている。
以上説明したとおり、本実施形態では、タービンハウジング22から第1排気管30が前方に延びており、第2浄化部72を内蔵する第3排気管50がタービンハウジング22の下方において前後方向に延びるように配設されている。そして、第1浄化部71を内蔵する第2排気管40が第3排気管50の前端から上方に延びて第1排気管30に接続されている。この構造により、本実施形態では、第2浄化部72と第1排気管30とを前後方向に並設する場合に比べて、タービンハウジング22から第3排気管50までの排気通路10を前後方向にコンパクトに配設することができる。
前記実施形態では、立壁部53に取付けられるセンサが排気ガス中の酸素濃度を検出するための第2酸素センサ90である場合を説明したが、立壁部53に取付けられるセンサは排気ガスの性状を検出するセンサであればよく、検出するパラエータは酸素濃度に限らない。例えば、排気ガス中に尿素を噴射する尿素インジェクタが取付けられてもよい。この場合は、図1等における第2酸素センサ90が尿素インジェクタ90となる。そして、前記実施形態において第2酸素センサ90に代えて尿素インジェクタ90を立壁部53に取り付けた場合には、前記のように、第2排気管40から第3排気管50に導入された排気ガスの流れが下向きとされることで、より多くの排気ガスに尿素を噴射して排気ガスにより均一に尿素を混入することが可能になる。

Claims (4)
- 車両の前後方向に延びる出力軸を備えたエンジンに設けられる排気システムであって、
エンジンから排出された排気ガスが流通する排気通路と、
排気ガスによって駆動されるタービンホイールを収容して排気ガスが通過する通路が内部に形成されたタービンハウジングを有するターボ過給機と、
排気ガスをそれぞれ浄化する第1浄化部および第2浄化部とを備え、
前記排気通路は、前記タービンハウジングの下流端に接続される第1通路部と、前記第1浄化部を内蔵するとともに前記第1通路部の下流端に接続される第2通路部と、前記第2通路部の下流端に接続される第3通路部と、前記第2浄化部を内蔵するとともに前記第3通路部の下流端に接続される第4通路部とを備え、
前記第1通路部は、前記タービンハウジングから前方に延びており、
前記第4通路部は、前記タービンハウジングの下方において前後方向に延びており、
