Claims (8)
- 粒子状物質検出センサ(20)の制御装置(10)であって、
前記粒子状物質検出センサは、対向する一対の電極(221,231)が形成された素子部(200)と、前記素子部を加熱するためのヒーター(211)と、を有し、前記素子部における粒子状物質の付着量に応じた電流が、前記電極の間を流れるように構成されたものであって、内燃機関(100)から排ガスを排出するための排気配管(130)に設けられており、
前記電極の間に印加される電圧を調整する電圧調整部(11)と、
前記ヒーターの発熱量を調整するヒーター調整部(13)と、
前記粒子状物質検出センサの周囲の状態が安定状態であるか否か、を判定する状態判定部(14)と、を備え、
前記ヒーター調整部は、
前記ヒーターにより前記素子部を加熱して、前記素子部に付着した粒子状物質を燃焼させ除去する再生処理と、
前記再生処理が完了してから、前記状態判定部により前記安定状態と判定されるまでの間、前記素子部の温度を、新たな粒子状物質の付着が抑制される付着抑制温度に維持する付着抑制処理と、を実行し、
前記状態判定部により前記安定状態と判定されると、
前記ヒーター調整部は前記ヒーターによる発熱を停止させ、
前記電圧調整部は、前記電極の間への電圧の印可を開始するように構成されており、
前記ヒーター調整部は、
前記付着抑制温度として、前記粒子状物質検出センサの周囲を流れる排ガスの温度よりも高い温度を設定し、
前記状態判定部は、
前記粒子状物質検出センサからの出力に影響を与えるパラメータが、所定時間に亘って所定範囲内に収まっており、且つ、当該所定時間の間において、前記パラメータの変動幅の大きさが前記所定範囲の幅よりも小さな値として設定されている所定幅を超えなかったときに、前記安定状態であると判定する、制御装置。 - 前記ヒーター調整部は、
前記粒子状物質検出センサの周囲を流れる排ガスの温度に応じて前記付着抑制温度を変化させる、請求項1に記載の制御装置。 - 前記状態判定部は、
前記パラメータが前記所定時間に亘って前記所定範囲内に収まっており、且つ、当該所定時間の間において、前記パラメータの微分値の絶対値が所定値を超えなかったときに、前記安定状態であると判定する、請求項1又は2に記載の制御装置。 - 前記状態判定部は、
前記パラメータが前記所定時間に亘って前記所定範囲内に収まっており、且つ、前記パラメータの時間変化を示すグラフの軌跡長が所定長さを超えなかったときに、前記安定状態であると判定する、請求項1又は2に記載の制御装置。 - 前記電圧調整部による、前記電極の間への電圧の印可が開始された後に、前記状態判定部によって前記安定状態ではないと判定された場合には、
前記電圧調整部は前記電極の間への電圧の印可を停止し、
前記ヒーター調整部は、前記再生処理を再び実行する、請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載の制御装置。 - 前記付着抑制処理が開始されてから、予め設定された上限時間が経過すると、前記状態判定部により前記安定状態と判定されていなくても、
前記ヒーター調整部は前記ヒーターによる発熱を停止させ、
前記電圧調整部は、前記電極の間への電圧の印可を開始する、請求項1乃至5のいずれか1項に記載の制御装置。 - 前記電圧調整部が、前記電極の間への電圧の印可を開始した直後において、前記電極の間を流れる電流が所定の閾値を超えた場合には、
前記電圧調整部は前記電極の間への電圧の印可を停止し、
前記ヒーター調整部は、前記再生処理を再び実行する、請求項1乃至6のいずれか1項に記載の制御装置。 - 前記ヒーター調整部は、
前記内燃機関が始動された後、前記排気配管の温度が前記排気配管の内部に液体の水が存在しえない所定の乾燥温度以上となったときに前記再生処理を実行する、請求項1乃至7のいずれか1項に記載の制御装置。
