Description
本発明の一態様では、前記チャンバ内で前側に位置する一方の触媒は、軸心が車両前後方向に向けられ、前記チャンバ内で後側に位置する他方の触媒は、下流端が車両外側に向くように斜めに配置され、前記接続パイプは、前記一方の触媒から前記他方の触媒に向かって曲げられている。
本発明の別の態様では、前記接続パイプに配置される排気ガスセンサを更に備え、
前記排気ガスセンサは、前記パンチング孔の上流側に配置される。

Claims (8)
- 車両用のエンジンに接続される排気管と、
前記排気管の下流側に接続されるチャンバと、
前記チャンバ内で車両前後方向に配置される少なくとも2つの触媒と、
前記2つの触媒を接続する接続パイプと、を備え、
前記接続パイプには、パンチング孔が設けられ、
前記チャンバ内で前側に位置する一方の触媒は、軸心が車両前後方向に向けられ、
前記チャンバ内で後側に位置する他方の触媒は、下流端が車両外側に向くように斜めに配置され、
前記接続パイプは、前記一方の触媒から前記他方の触媒に向かって曲げられていることを特徴とする排気装置。 - 車両用のエンジンに接続される排気管と、
前記排気管の下流側に接続されるチャンバと、
前記チャンバ内で車両前後方向に配置される少なくとも2つの触媒と、
前記2つの触媒を接続する接続パイプと、を備え、
前記接続パイプには、パンチング孔が設けられ、
前記接続パイプに配置される排気ガスセンサを更に備え、
前記排気ガスセンサは、前記パンチング孔の上流側に配置されることを特徴とする排気装置。 - 一方の前記触媒は、前記軸心が前記チャンバの幅中心よりも車両内側に配置され、
他方の前記触媒は、少なくとも一部が前記チャンバの幅中心よりも車両外側に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の排気装置。 - 前記一方の触媒の下流端と前記他方の触媒の上流端とは、近接して配置されることを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項3に記載の排気装置。
- 前記触媒は、軸方向に直交する断面が前記チャンバの厚み方向に短い楕円形状を有する
ことを特徴とする請求項1から請求項4のいずれかに記載の排気装置。 - 前記接続パイプは、前記触媒の楕円形状の長手方向に対応する上面部と下面部とを有し、
前記パンチング孔は、前記上面部及び/又は前記下面部に形成されることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の排気装置。 - 前記パンチング孔は、前記チャンバの中央に集中して複数配置されることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項6のいずれかに記載の排気装置。
- 前記排気ガスセンサは、前記接続パイプの曲げ部外側に配置されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の排気装置。
