Description
図1は、本実施形態に係る車両用灯具100の概略構成を示す側面図である。車両用灯具100の説明に用いる図面では、3次元直交座標系としてXYZ座標系を用いる場合がある。以下、XYZ座標系において、X軸方向は車両用灯具を搭載する車両左右方向であり、Y軸方向は車両上下方向であり、Z軸方向は車両前後方向である。
続いて、第2実施形態に係る照明装置について説明する。図8は、第2実施形態に係る照明装置10Bの側面図である。なお、第2実施形態の照明装置10Bの構成及び部材のうち、第1実施形態と共通の構成及び部材については同じ符号を付し、その説明は省略する。
図2に示す照明装置10Aを用いて所定の面P2におけるレーザ光L3(すなわち、重畳された分割レーザ光L2)の強度分布を測定した。本実施例では、レーザ光源20の出射面20eから出射されるレーザ光L1の光軸20Cを中心とする放射角を長軸S1側で±20°、短軸S2側で±10°とした。また、蛍光体60の励起面60sの大きさをy軸方向で0.4mm、x軸方向で0.8mmと想定し、照射領域RAにおけるレーザL3の強度分布の目標形状を1:2の長方形とした。また、出射面20eから所定の面P1までの距離Lとホモジナイザ光学素子30の直径Dを(D/2)/L=tan20°の相対関係が成り立つように適宜設定した。
Claims (6)
- レーザ光を出射する光源部と、
前記光源部からのレーザ光を受けて、前記光源部から出射された前記レーザ光を光軸に直交する面内で複数の分割レーザ光に分割し、前記複数の分割レーザ光の進行方向を互いに異ならせる光束分割部と、前記光束分割部と一体に形成され、前記光束分割部から出射した前記複数の分割レーザ光を互いに共通の第1照射領域で重ね合わせる光束重畳部とを有するホモジナイザ光学素子と、
前記ホモジナイザ光学素子の光束重畳部によって前記第1照射領域で重ね合わされた前記複数の分割レーザ光によって励起されて蛍光を発する蛍光体と、
を備え、
前記光束分割部は、複数のマイクロレンズ部によって構成され、
それぞれの前記マイクロレンズ部は、前記光源部に向かって凸となる凸レンズであり、
前記光源部から出射されて前記光束分割部に到達した際の前記レーザ光の前記光軸に直交する第2照射領域は楕円形状をなし、
前記複数のマイクロレンズ部は、前記楕円形状の長軸及び短軸の少なくともいずれかの軸を中心として対称性を有するように、かつ、前記長軸及び前記短軸のそれぞれの軸の範囲内に少なくとも2個以上のマイクロレンズ部が配置され、
前記分割レーザ光の入射側から見た前記蛍光体の励起面は長方形状をなし、
前記レーザ光の入射側から見た前記マイクロレンズ部は前記励起面の長方形状と相似である長方形状をなし、
前記レーザ光の入射側から見たときに前記第2照射領域の楕円形状の長軸と前記マイクロレンズ部の長辺とのなす狭角は45°以上90°以下である、
照明装置。 - 前記レーザ光の入射側から見た前記マイクロレンズ部の形状は、前記分割レーザ光の入射側から見た前記蛍光体の励起面の形状に対して相似である、
請求項1に記載の照明装置。 - 前記光束重畳部は、前記蛍光体に向かって凸となる単一の非球面レンズ部によって構成される、
請求項1又は2に記載の照明装置。 - 前記光源部は前記光軸に直交する方向において複数設けられ、
前記光源部は、レーザ光源と該レーザ光源に連結されたファイバとを有する、
請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の照明装置。 - 複数の前記光源部から出射された前記レーザ光の入射側から見た前記マイクロレンズ部は前記励起面の長方形状と相似である長方形状をなし、
複数の前記光源部から出射された前記レーザ光の入射側から見たときに複数の前記光源部の配列方向と前記マイクロレンズ部の長辺とのなす狭角は45°以上90°以下である、
請求項4に記載の照明装置。 - 請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の照明装置を備えた車両用灯具。
